Thank you! And yes, it does save properly, too!
I wanted to thank Galien for sending me down this path. It's very, very interesting.
Scott
I've finally found time to try the Muelsfell Terrain Shader on hair - and I like the results it gives (see attached file).
I found it easier to set up this shader than the Daz one; in particular, when copying and pasting from the original hair surface, more properties are copied over.
That looks great galien! I think it's easier, too. Saving things makes it so much faster to learn, as well. I do have some things about vertical offsets that I want to play with more before I post a question, but overall, this is a great thing and thanks again for mentioning it!
Here's my latest with Muelsfell Terrain Shader...different hair set, similar style.
Scott
Here's the latest. I concentrated on the bangs of this hair set. I redid the mask for the top and the middle layers and discovered I now have better control over where the colors show up. Not perfect, but with new masks there are four distinct colors--that's the effect I originally wanted.
Scott
I thought I'd share the final render and all the masks I used. This has been a really fun thing to dig into. I just really want to thank galien. You have a lot of patience to put up with all my questions, but here's the kicker--I listened and I learned. I'm grateful beyond words!
So, here they are...
Scott
Thanks, and you're welcome. I also found this to be an interesting project.
