  • Hmm ... all day, never had a purple banner show up.

It was for previous purchases of Genesis 8 Pro bundles. I'm not sure how many were required but I suspect it was at least several.

Anyone know if you can use the puple banner discount more than once...so to get the gift card first and then use the code again to purchase Leisa 8 bundle ?

I was able to do that.

Yes it seems you can do separate purchases

@Zai, Hi. Please clarify. Do you mean the differences possible through morphing Super Natural Brows, the differences in Mousso's brows (which I think are her own original concoctions), or something else?

    Zai said:

Hey xyer0, do you have an example of what you mean of how the differences look? I'm curious as I use a lot of Supernatural brows myself.

I was just meaning examples of why you think Supernatural brows look better as a mix rather than on their own. I thought you might have a gallery image where you had done the mix. Or any mix with fiber and painted. No worries :)

The painted brows fill in the gaps and give a different shape to the Super Natural Brows, which are otherwise too-distinctive on their own for multiple uses within a scene. But I'm partial to full, natural brows on females.

I was thinking that Leisa was one of the more credible mature characters, and Allesandra kept that theme going (Gabi is a bit too WTF for me) useful for a CEO, scientist, librarian, etc. but then I saw one little item that just blew everything for me.

    Height: 6' 0" (182.8 cm)

Seriously? That's 99.92 percentile. Less than 1 in 1000. That won't look realistic in a car, at a desk, going through a doorway, etc. Kitchen counters are at the wrong height for her. ( 50% for the US is 5'3.6"). Oh, and the standard weight for a 6' woman is 188 pounds.

Teen Josie 8 is 5'5", which is 75th percentile for adult women. Teen Raven 8 is 5'6". Fortunately, it appears that all the DAZ teens are 18-19, so they've basically stopped growing.

DAZ heights are out of control. Next generation won't even fit in cars, will bump their heads in doorways,  I'm picturing Victoria 9 coming in at 6'4". What do we use these characters for, aside from the obvious NVITWS?

6'0" sounds perfect to me, though I think I can count on one hand the number of women I've met at that height that were not basketball players. 188 pounds seems quite heavy though.

  • My wife is 5'11" and probably tops 200lb these days. However, shortly after we met (29.5 years ago) she regained her normal weight of 13 stone 7 lb (189 lb) after suffering gastroenteritus 2 months before we met. She'd been down to 8 stone 7lb (120 lb) at that point. My eldest daughter is 6'0" and weighs - I'm guessing - 15 stone (210 lb), and she doesn't look overweight. Weight can be very variable even for the same person.

I was looking at buying MD but my PC couldn't have it and I soon found just from watching the MD tutorials a completely different approach is made in designing women's clothing compared to men's clothing. Not that I wasn't familiar with it from earlier in life but it's a bit different when you consider actually making men's & women's in a modeling program for real instead of just 'noticing it'.

Alessandra HD reminds me of some actress but I can't quite place it. At first, I thought Kim Bassinger but that isn't quite ut. Any other suggestions to put my mind at rest from trying to figure out this puzzle?

No idea who you're thinking of but personally the main promo image somehow reminds me of Claudia Schiffer.

It always helps to specify a particular image, as quite often a resemblence that is very strong from one angle is not-so-much from another.  That said, I see a bit of Loretta Swit back when she played Hot Lips on MASH.  Then again, Leisa herself gives me a Sybil Danning vibe, but I doubt most the people here have ever seen her in a film except, possibly, BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS or Lour Frigno's HERCULES.

Yes!  That is it, I knew it was someone that I had seen but couldn't place it!  Thank you!

...was not pleased that the release increased the base price of the Catch-up items to 5$ unless you purchased the Pro bundle.  It would have been better if it reduced the price from 2.99$ (which was the price for the "catch up" items beforehand) to 1.99$ or even 0.99$ so those of us who were not interested.in the character could still pay the 2.99$ price.

I've passed on this - but I've now got a third 20% purple banner for the pro bundle. And still not interested; I'm awash in unused female characters already.

I would agree, although I often use without.

I created some additional morphs that allow for more variation; somethimes, though, just having the SSS texture - with the eyebrow on - gives a great look. I might fade the brows a little so they aren't full strength, using photoshop; do it non-destructively, and it is simple to tweak to get the look you're after.

    Actually closer to 5'4" .

    Hi,

Please can you guys help me out in pointing out the clothing, poses and props used in these promo images.

    Regards

Mod edit: The URLs have been returned to their original links. We do not allow the links to be changed as you did them. It's pointless for a Daz store link in any case. Do, however, check the links as the first one seems to be incorrect.
