[New Aeon Soul outfit] Looks fantastic (as always) but am I alone in wanting an updated new version of Alice? That would make so many people happy...she was one of my favorites! heart

First of all, thank you Aeon Soul for this products... I wish more cloth would have so many morphs for putting pants down, open the zip or putting the shirt on or holding it in the hand. yes

Btw... there is a prop missing for holding the pants in the hand... would be really cool if this would be added in an update ;)

However, I think what Aeon Sould did with the Morphs+ package should be availibe for most cloth, too.

The only thing what was a little disapointment for me was the missing bundle offer.

Hope to see such detailed morphs for male clothing, too wink

Yeah.  It's already too pricey considering what the base is, just a t shirt and a pair of Capri pants, at a $10 markup over the Genesis 3 Female version.

Probably not the only person, but my understanding is that they're reluctant to make her generally available which is how DAZ would be selling her.

  • For me the level of detail in Aeon Soul pieces is more than high enough to justify the price. That and the discount if you buy three items is an effective bundle.

I have to say Alice rather creeps me out. But whatever floats people's boat.

Not a fan of Alice either. Especially when she's put near regular Daz characters with little to no morphing in their promos. It hits something that feels like the uncanny valley, but not quite. I get it's a stylistic choice on their part, and it doesn't put me off from buying their stuff, but w/e.

Well you folk made me go look at this "Alice" character only to find she looks nothing like Alice in Wonderland.

She reminds me of the porcelain dolls or figures you see at Grandma's house.

Or like the Greek figures/statues- shown in various action scenes- come to life.

I dig the figure a lot and hope they never release her and keep the vendor novelty going.

I like the whole idea and seeing the same characters doing different, but related things in the promos hints at a connected universe.

I picked up all the pieces and a gift card, so it feels like getting that bundle for free.

Today was a very generous day from Daz.

    Holidaze indeed.

  • I've always thought of Alice as sort of an alien or fantasy figure than anything else. Actually I like the outfit very everyday like the top.

I thought the outfit was awesome and grabbed it all. YOINK.

I mean, 'just a t shirt and a pair of Capri pants'?? It's Aeon Soul, maaan.

I have always found Alice to be very iconic and would purchase a new version of her in a HEARTBEAT!  I'm fine if people don't like her, but the solution is so simple - DON'T. BUY. HER!  For those of us who DO like her, your negative comments certainly don't do anything to help convince Aeon Soul to release her. <Thanks-not thanks. sigh>

I bought the outfit and was surprised how much the price dropped for gettting nearly all of it. Thanks Aeon Soul!  (And please, Please, PLEASE consider releasing Alice for those of us who just love her!)

Bought all parts of the outfit, and tried it on G8M. Fit like a charm. Please, Aeon Soul would you consider a series of clothes like this for the guys? The attention to detail is incredible.

  • With all of the requests for 'Alice', I'm surprised there has not been a thread full of people trying to copy her the way there is for the often requested goldtassel model.

And I agree that this is a great outfit!

I have her morph transferred to G3, but don't use it often. I guess with Xtransfer I could bring it up to G8 to see how it looks.

I don't buy much from Aeon Soul. The quality is definately there, but the whole wishy washy pulling models and clothes from the store for artistic reasons left a bad taste in my mouth. It's hard for me to think of them as artists first when they are selling products.

I like Alice because her shape looks like it would actually add something to the Genesis genepool. (Small amounts go a long way.) But also curiousity in how her shape would look with other skins. I'm not fond of her eyebrows at all, but I do like her eyes. They're part of her charm.

But without a male counterpart, her use really becomes limited.  Like FSMCDesigns, I have Alice ported up to G3F but rarely use her since she looks like an alien or toon next to most other characters.  .

It's a very nice pair of Capris and T-shirt, but to get the whole set costs more than the biggest Stonemason sets.  That seems... excessive.  Plus, at the end of the day I have to ask myself how many times would I actually use it before it gets burned out by every other person who bought it posting renders on the internet.  I think someone needs to make a drinking game to go with web sightings of Aeon Soul outfits....

I don't know, a shirt with dozens of materials (plus freeform materials added), a bunch of morphs that can be mixed with various other clothing is going to get a lot more use, IMO, than a very particular, identifiable environment set.

I mean, I've seen several threads where people ask 'what's that outfit' and then gone 'oh, really? Huh, I have that'

Whereas (making something up) 'the environment with the tower made of burning ice and five flesh giant statues in it' is pretty much going to be obviously THAT SET to most people.

It's only limited if you use her out of the box without mixing it up with other morphs and at 100%. I've dial-spun my own facsimile anyway. After all, her appearances have been varied throughout the years and the current version looks nothing like the V4 one.

Also, I don't exactly aim for "realism", so I don't see how her looking too much like a toon or too alien is even a problem, at least for a potential customer like myself. Characters being female-only, like Sakura 8, hasn't stopped others from making their own male versions for their art projects. Then, there's the artists who don't even render males anyway.

I disagree. I bought all 5. I see great value in this product. To each his own.

  • she has a very baby face to me

in fact she reminds me of my baby photos

I too find it creepy on an adult, I have her V4 body morph not the head/face but I am certain it wouldn't be too hard to do if I were so inclined, just haven't wanted to, you could just try the face transfer or Facegen, Headshop utilities if sculpting or dialing not your thing.

Yeah, I did that too with one or two more items, but mentally, I did the discount.

The Sport add-on pack is awesome.

Another person who bought it all right away! :)

For those asking about Alice, I can say that some of the comments in this thread about her not being everyone's cup of tea is why she's not generally available. Alice is like their "baby". And seeing people have negative reactions to her made it hard for them to keep her available. They went back and forth a couple of times with what to do with her and finally decided it was too painful for them to see their baby being called ugly.

  • The sport add-on pack is the only thing I didn't get :P  Probably should have but I was straining the limits of my budget already and I've never rendered any sports-fans scenes.

Can you post a render how this outfit looks on G8M? I'm always looking for good outfits for male characters and was not sure yesterday whether I really want to end up with a product that looks neither good with autofit nor the G8 shape tool.
  • How much if any of the texture packs and such works on the G3F version?  Something of a longshot, but I can hope.

  • At $47.92 for the Capri and top, the morphs, and 3 texture sets (or 5) items which cost more (on a good sale) or as much as (on a bad sale) a pro pack with 12 items is a little steep for a bundle of everything. It looks cool and everything all together could make it very versatile. It would be good to know if the Gen 3 version's textures are cross compatible. I will probably have to piece it out when the sales help spread the cost out and make it a little less pricey. I understand the dilemma, since you want to support good artists, I also have been out of work for a year due to an injury so money is tight.

I dont like it when PA's use a figure in a promo (especially a figure that isnt even part of the product being sold) when the figure is way too stylistic.  With Aeon Soul i'm afraid that the characters body will end up making the clothes look different when i put it on a non-alice/non-aeon soul character.  I'm the same way with Hameleons pose/expressions products and some of Zeddicus' pose/expression products.  Hameleon always uses the same Kitana character in their promos and it seems like the model has a huge thigh gap, also what seems an overly stylistic face that is in a perpetual state of trying to look sexy.  If i'm looking at one of their pose/expressions how can i supposed to tell if what i'm seeing and what i'm going to get is part of the pose or if its part of that PA's character with exaggerated features? A few of Zedd's products have me thinking this too.  Whenever they do the sleepy/sexy/seductive looking eye pose.  I'm left thinking if their pose set has that same look with the eyes or if they did something a little extra to spice up the promo pics or what.
