Having trouble making V6 look sexually attractive.

V6 & Olympia
They seem to be "pretty" but not "sexy". Anyone have any renders of V6 or Olympia that is sexually arousing? I already looked at the "other" site and found nothing. There doesn't have to be nudity.
I showed some people the new V6 and Olympia and they said she is "pretty" but not "hot".
Anyone else agree?
V4 has a much higher capability to be sexy IMO.

I don't expect you to get many posts because of the wording of your title. The community here is generally (mostly) silently disapproving of the potential sexual-ization of the products, and is definitely the most family-friendly of the online communities. You might be able to get a better dialogue about this topic on RO or the "other site," as you so eloquently put it. There is nothing wrong (imo) with aiming for sexy, I'm just saying that you might not find a very invested audience here.
That being said, I would have to say that G2F and Genesis itself definitely have the potential to be just as, or more, "sexy" than V4, simply due to advances in the technology and heightened ability for detail. You have to remember that V4 still has a booming supporting community and has years on these new figures, so has much more versatility.
However, I do mostly martial renders, so my focus is definitely not "sexy" so there may be limitations that I don't know of.
Hope this helps!
I don't think the family-friendly nature of the community is the issue here. It's more that attractiveness is very subjective. What looks attractive for one person may not work for another, and the OP was specifically asking about sexual attraction. Unfortunately, that's a subject which is often very personal to the individual.
I for one don't find any of the figures sexually attractive simply because I've worked with them for so long. I suspect the same may be true for others. Doesn't matter if it's V4, Genesis or Genesis 2. One of the reasons I do very few nude renders, and certainly no nudes with visible genetalia, is largely because I've never seen the appeal or the necessity. I find it hard to separate the artist in me from the viewer, so I tend to be too analytical to get a rise out of seeing the numerous nudes done using Daz figures.
Well said. I agree
Your assessment is a highly subjective one. No one knows what looks sexy to you any more than you know what others find sexy. So it's really an unanswerable question.
I will admit to finding a dial up or morph of Michael any generation attractice when it closely resembles somebody in real life I find attractive.
Simply because I mentaly project that particular person on the figure in my minds eye!
My Brian Connoly from the Sweet morph had that effect on me a bit. felt like an awkward schoolgirl agai dressing him abd styling his Carrara pageboy blonde coiffe
i'm game :)
to me, sexeh is in the eyes, confidence, and un-selfconscious.
which v4 character do you find sexi? or which store promo you find sexi?
Certainly, I was simply saying that there is a general tilt towards family-friendliness here, which might result in few replies. Glad to see I was wrong, it's a fun change from the normal posts
The term sexy is pretty subjective. What one individual finds "sexy" may not be what another does. I'm sure if you ask any ten people on the street what is "sexy", you will get ten different answers.
What is it about V6 or the other morphs that you don't find "hot"?
pron and sexi are 2 verry different things
Pron, I like that one.
I find normal to be sexy. Just a strait forward pose and a smile is all I need. I find it demeaning towards women to have then bent over while blowing you a kiss. That's just my opinion. It don't mean anyone that thinks that is sexy is wrong. It all on personal taste of an individual. If your looking for porn style poses then you may want to try renderotica. DAZ has plenty of everyday sexy poses. They just don't sell the porn style
uh, is there a gc prize for sexiest V6 render?
People, please don't get so wrapped up in the subjective details of what individuals find sexy that you forget there are some very basic physical traits that the human animal finds sexy in general for both man and woman.
Personally, sexy has to do more with what a character is doing in a picture, than her/his physical attributes.
An act of kindness from a non-traditional looking individual, a character doing something brave, is far more sexy to me, than a pinup.
Yup, sexy is subjective. I think Olympia is one of the best morphs to come out of the DAZ stables in quite a while. I like strong looking women as I do Goddess sorts of renders (when I have the time which is about ZERO! lol ). Same with males. Strong body's, nice faces. Poses and expressions play into sexy as well. I'm sure there are some nice "kittenish" poses with expressions that might put any of the Gen 2 Females morphs into the "sexy" category for most end users.
Again, it's subjective.
i have to agree. I spent lots of time sculpting the V4 body shape to create a few distinct FBMs that work for me and my tastes and with GenX was able to transfer them and add some genesis details to them also for my projects. I have spent some time with GF2 and the morphs only trying to find an attractive figure that works for me and so far, no luck . Hopefully when GenX2 is released I can finally get around to working with GF2.
As pointed out, "hot", "attractive" and "sexy" are very subjective. I have worked in the adult entertainment industry for awhile and have very definitive ideas of what I find attractive in the female form. When all the women you are close with are dancers or model types, what many on these forums consider fantasy or make believe body types are the norm for me. I really hate when I get commission work where the client wants frumpy, boring female types in it, LOL.
Think beyond the pin-up and other such exaggerations. The human animal is designed to respond to certain basic things, but because we have complex wiring, intelligence, emotions, imaginations, memories and experiences our subjective likes and dislikes overshadow some basic truths. That's all I'm saying.
Please allow me to throw my lot in with the "sexy is a state of mind" crowd. I'm personally of the opinion that less is more when it comes to such things. While I love me some cheesecake and a good pin up (I have a ton of Elvgren, Vargas, and Olivia coffee table books in my house), I find that when I'm shooting for "sexy" I do it by way of mood, theme, and attitude.
My "Blue Monday" pieces in my gallery have gotten a good number of comments (here, Deviant Art, and when shown to friends via the power of my smartphone) saying that the piece is "very sexy" and "the sexiest thing you've ever done."
None of which I was going for. I was going for a peaceful morning scene presented without edifice or facade: a character ( I nearly made it male, but none of my male characters are really "screen test" ready yet ), in a room, with "morning" light coming in. I purposely left the character nude because I wanted that simplicity. Neither of those pieces are exercises in sexiness: they're exercises in lighting and composition, but they're still called sexy.
I would suggest that if you want something to be visually and aesthetically exciting, you work on things like theme, mood, light, and composition. I'm no expert, but I have always found these to be more true than simple body shapes and state of dress/undress.
Which proves the theory that men are stimulated by visuals much more than women (and also that men can be complete morons, LOL)
That's considered a fact actually. Males are visually driven. But then there are those males that drive allot of the fashion industry and want their models looking anorexic because that's their interpretation of pretty and sexy. So that then drives allot of females to try to emulate those looks they see in the magazines which for many lead to eating disorders and for some, death. When I see a gal on TV that's just too skinny I always think "Honey, go eat a hamburger or two, you need it" ....
Some women are naturally quite slender though. I used to be able to eat what I liked and never put on any weight. Sadly, I think my indulgence is starting to catch up. I'm no butterball yet, but my gym membership is going to start paying for itself before long.
Misses the point I'm trying to make and doesn't actually argue against my position.

I am not saying that what we find sexy isn't by and large subjective, but there is a little more going on... Keep an open mind.

Edit...
I believe it is possible to make V6 more sexy in a way that most, but not all, people would agree was more sexy. I believe there is a common ground to be found despite our subjective differences. I posted because the first few posts seemed to argue against this as being a viable possibility. I question this idea. I just wish I had an easy answer for this threads original question about how to make V6 look sexier given the products currently available. It will take work and experimentation, as would any particular look, but I believe it is possible.
Would I want the base V6G2 to be more sexy? Not really. I like having the base character as a kind of blank slate I can shape to any purpose I desire, be that sexy or not. Looking sexy is a job for an add-on character and I'm sure we will get one with time if we don't already have one... just like we now have a wide variety of options for V4.
Science doesn't back you up on that. There are literally hundreds of studies that prove that women are just as visually oriented, stimulation-wise, as men are. Societal pressures, however, cause them to suppress this because women "are not supposed to have" the same motivations as men in such areas.
That being said however, and before we get into the "male gaze" area of such a discussion, I think it's absolutely abhorrent what so many women go through just trying to be viewed as "Acceptable" by society, and I'm so very glad both my sisters managed to circumvent that bologna.
HAHAHA.. same here. I used to be a rail growing up, lived off of fast food and candy and soda. Now at 53... can't do that any more... wait I DON'T want to do that any more.. YUK! But now I'm blessed with a little pot belly for all those years of NOT paying attention. Gym membership does not help me a bit in the winter as I need to steer clear of places like that! Too many sick people in there trying to sweat out their bugs and well... I end up with those damned bugs. Also winter months causes my desire for more hearty hot foods to come to the surface of the palette and allot of that has more fat in it so doesn't help me much! lol

Yup, never said it was a scientific fact but I tell ya, as a gay male, all my friends go crazy when a hot hunky guy saunters by. I like beauty regardless of gender or sexual orientation. If someone is taking good care of themselves, look happy and is pleasant to be around that's a turn on for me. Visual plays into it but not as much as it used to. Character is a strong contender for me these days.

I am not saying that what we find sexy isn't by and large subjective, but there is a little more going on... Keep an open mind. The point I was making is that those 'basic things' aren't nearly as basic as people like to assume. It doesn't matter if it's intelligence or biology, we're all very different people with very different tastes. There's no blueprint to say all humans will like X because of Y. Doesn't matter whether it's visual, audio or tactile, tastes are just too diverse to define with any set of rules.
I would argue that there is a blueprint, but it isn't obvious or necessarily black and white. It does get blurred and even overwritten by all of our varied complexities, but it does give us all a very general (and I do mean general) common ground from which to build and diversify as individuals.
having worked in mens clubs for years, i was truly amazed the first time I went into LaBare and saw how crazy and out of control the women got, LOL
