New Installed Morphs Not Appearing

  • zoomzooie,

The breast controls from the Body Morphs for G8F are missing in my install as well. The sternum controls from the same package show and work. I also tried deleting and reinstalling without sucess. Just now I had a character dressed in the CB School Uniform. I selected the School Tie under parameters to see if I could make it hang down in a forward bend pose. There under CB School Tie: Actor are all the breast morph dials. And they work, on the tie. Under Character: Actor in the same pane, nothing. (The tie is parented to the actor.)

So something odd is going on.

  • My English is very poor. I can only translate by machine. I'm sorry. The situation I encounter is similar to yours. I uninstall all the things and reinstall them. No installation involves the deformed characters (49619 morph dials included as standard.). The content of G8F Body Morphs appears. Finally, install the deformed characters. There's no problem for the moment. I'm not sure it's because of the deformed characters. It's just that I can think of the possible problems now. But my poses has problems again. It can be dragged and used. It can't be used by double clicking. It's a little fidgety.

I now have a new problem after uinstalling and deleting.

Under the DIM Installation tab I tried to change the directory paths to another drive to reinstall the content. I didn't realize that Daz Studio and Hexegon where also selected to uninstall and were uninstalled too, so I took the oppertunity to change directories for everything to the other drive. The paths for everything but Content Database Base appear to be set in the DIM.

Even though I have set a new path to install for Content Database Base it always installs to the original drive path reguardless of having "Install to currently selected path" or "Install to each package's respective "Installed" path".

Content Path Shortcuts only has one option for Recommended DAZ Studio/Poser Content Folder

Why can I not change the path for Content Database Base in DIM?

If no other application that uses the database is running then it should work, but you can also try making the chnage in the CMS Settings tab of Edit>Preferences (Daz Studio>Preferences on a Mac)

  • You try to reset the content library. Now I have all the problems solved

  • I still can't change the "Content Files to Install To" path!!!

I've tried a fresh start uninstalling everything through DIM and control panel, deleted all folders and used Ccleaner to clean the registery. I downloaded a fresh copy of DIM and proceded to set up the paths. After I enter the new "Content Files to Install To" path, it still shows the recommended path to "C:/Users/user name/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/cmsand" and the "Path Shortcuts" drop down still shows only "Recommended Dax Studio/Poser Content Folder".

I tried setting "Content Updates" to "Install to currently selected" and "Install to each packages respective installed path" but it makes no difference. I don't really know the difference. The wording is not clear. I assume the later is the default path.

There appears to be no way to change this. I know its been mentioned I should be able to, but I see now possible way.

    >>>>Can you please post post a step by step instruction or a link to video that shows how to do this correctly?<<<<

Note: Previously after trying to reinstall Daz Studio and the Essentials only, I then installed the GS8 Female head and body shapes only. The body morph sliders did appear repeatedly. It appears there is no issue with the body shapes files.

  • I found how to change the path by accident!

For anyone else who wants to change the path where to install the content you need to go to the DIM "Installation" tab and in the "Label" and "Path" window right click the recommended path in the window and "Add Content Path Shortcut". Select the drive/path you want to install content. You can now select it in the drop drop down, click accept and content will be installed there.

Now that nearly everything is working, "Hexagon 2.5 Content" fails to install. It wants a path. I tried creating a new folder and also selecting where Hexagon is installed, but install keeps failing.

I need help with this now.

  • Have you mamaged to get your morphs to work? I seem to have the same problem with 3 morphs: HD gen 8 female head morph, gen 8 female body and head morphs. Tried to reinstall manually, nothing works. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,i also have the same problem and it appears to be just morphs i purchase from daz. I have noticed something strange on the DIM of which i have no idea what it means.

All the missing morphs are not ticked on the installation list. If any one found a solution to this please assist.

    Thanks.

So, I don't know if this issue has been resolved, but in case someone looks at this thread and is having a similar problem, I found a resolution -- at least, for my case.

I was finding that a number of models that I'd bought and installed hadn't made their way into the Parameters tab.  Worse yet, when I went to the Content Library and went to "Shaping > Apply > Body" and found the name of the model, I found that double clicking on it didn't do anything.  The Parameters tab simply refreshed, but nothing happened to the figure, and the contents of the Parameters tab didn't change.  It just refreshed, but eveything was the same.

I'd also noticed that certain clothing items that were advertised as having certain morphs didn't have them, and there never seemed to be a good reason for it.

After doing some digging in the files, I realized that in the "My DAZ 3D Library" folder where everything's supposed to be installed (and quite a number of things were indeed installed, and it looked like a complete folder with Runtime, etc.), there was a mysterious "Applications" subfolder, and it had a "Data" folder, followed by "DAZ 3D," and finally yet another "My DAZ 3D Library" folder, and lo and behold, all of the models and other things that I'd installed but mysteriously couldn't access correctly, or at least in their entirety (with dials appearing in the Parameters tab, etc.), were there!

So, I took a chance and simply merged the contents of that "My DAZ 3D Library" folder with the great great grandparent folder by the same name (for those who don't get it, I mean the first "My DAZ 3D Library" folder that's higher up in the folder hierarchy or structure -- the one that had that mysterious "Applications" folder in it in the first place), and voilà!  Suddenly, all of the models and other add-ons that I'd noticed weren't appearing or working properly were suddenly there and working fine!  Moreover, those clothing items I mentioned had their correct morphs!

I hope this helps someone in the future who has a problem with downloaded models or other files not working right.
