It does come with tan lines which are applied on the skin separately:)

Even better. Sounds like this product has a lot of options that I have been looking for. But then again I'm always partial to your releases as is. Great stuff!

Product update, added a GEN hair builder as an extra feature. Contains 4 to 5 different types (from different races) and 4 different trims of each and can be used on any V5 UV set. Will get product renders up as soon as I can. My main hard drive died so I had some down time re-installing my OS and apps and getting back on track

This product is absolutely an insta-purchase for me.

Any idea when in April it's scheduled to be released? :cheese:

It's hard to say when exactly. All depends on other product releases and where\when there is space available within the month. It's a lot of shuffelling around:)

Basically it applies pubic hair to any v5 uv set. Has four types (from different races) each with 4 trim options. Can also adjust the colour and opacity. Unfortunately I cannot promote it in the promo's but it will be included in the product.

The base shader for the product is AoA SSS, but there will be a preset to turn the SSS on or off. Don't see why it wouldn't work with the advanced lights and cameras. The product will also include the scene the promos were made in:)

Will it be possible to use the generated skins in other programs provided that we make our own materials/shaders or that we edit the shaders that will come with the skin?

You can use it in whatever app you want, or even leave the settings as is if it works without changing. As long as what you generate (via the products contents) is not to be sold or distributed as a freebie in any form or fashion, you can do what you like with your creation.

    Thank you very much, Zev0.

I would just use the textures for personal renders but I just asked if it would be possible to use the generated textures in other applications since I use Poser and VUE (even if I use DS for other things than renders). If the result had been a LIE file then I think that it would be difficult to use it outside of DS...

Thank you again for your answer...

Looking forward to see the Project Skin Builder in the store. :)

LIE generates temp tiff files that are stored in appdata of your LIE creation, so all you do is copy those files for use in another app that cannot read LIE:) If you change the LIE settings, those temp files will be overwritten, so once you are happy with what you created, copy them out:) All will be explained in the tutorial as well for those who wish to do this.

Thank you very much for the information about LIE. I think that Project Skin Builder will be a very interesting and versatile script. I will definitely look forward for this fantastic script and I hope that it will be released very soon! :) Also thank you for your availability as well as for making the most to be sure that we will be able to use the textures generated by Project Skin Builder in our favourite 3D application(s). This is very much appreciated.

You're welcome:). Busy with some test renders atm. Will have them up in the thread as soon as they are done. Just to show what can be done with the product. Also I made sure the skin is nice and clean so it can be used on young & teen type characters as well:)

Here is the main script. Took multiple re-designs before we were happy with the flow and design. Contains everything you need to create a wide variety of skin types. It works with the base SSS.duf file that contains all the shader details. Extra options like SSS on and off are one click presets that will be in the main folder. When I have more time I will show the other scripts.

Here are some test renders showing different skins made. Also used the brow builder, eye builder and the make up builder for variation. All renders shown on same character morph.

Here is an example of the Tan builder. You can have one or multiple tan sessions and mix upper and lower designs, set tan colour and tan opacity.

Will there be a way to add leopard/ jaguar spots to the skin?

Options like that will probably be available via an addon pack or something, but will not be available in the product apon its release. We wanted to focus on the basics, and that already contains a lot of options. Depending on its success, we will see what addons customers want, and try to incorporate them.

This looks really good. I'm hoping it'll work well with the octane plugin as well.

If you ever do an add-on like that, some spots similar to the Newcomers in Alien Nation or the Trills in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine would be welcome. But as far as the current product goes, it looks like it'll have enough to keep us busy for a long time to come. It looks like another instant buy when it hits the store.

Well, one could say the same about stripes or scales or any number of other patterns - including cybernetic-type stuff or even wounds.

Either way, those above renders are quite impressive.

Thanks for your time. If nothing else a male version would help to round everything out.
