What if set does it use? What is restricting this to be feminine only?

Uses V5 UV mapping so it will work for Genesis and Genesis2 Female. You can apply it to the Genesis2 Male as well, if you want your males to use female skin lol. But other aspects are universal, like the eye builder.

Question, just to make sure I'm understanding this right, the eye, brow, makeup, and eyelash scripts are all included in the base product? Or are they going to be addons or part of a bundle? Definitely waiting for it's release date, hopefully it will be out in April. I for one will be using it on the G2M.

They are all part of the base product. Almost like an all in one type thing lol.

i am really liking the "idea" behind this item. I love to customize my characters and try to make them unique, I just usually don't have the time or patience. I will seriously be giving this a good looksee and will consider it.

What image format does it use? And can I expand its database with my own image files if I DO want to use it as a merchant tool (provided none of your included content is mixed into the pot)? This would also allow 3rd-party or end-user expansion to any other Genesis (or Gen2) UV set: the user inserts his own M5, or M4, or M6 base maps into the assorted channels, adjusts the dials, hey presto! Go get lunch while it renders, and so on...

The image formats are a mix of .jpg and .png depending on process.

No you can not expand it's database with your own images.

In no way can the files or scripts be used as a merchants resource. That is forbidden. The scripts are encrypted with my and Draagonstorms names on them to safeguard this.

To clarify, you can replace the existing files in the product for personal use. Eg replace brow_1 with your own Brow_1. They have to remain V5, as the script is locked into only reading V5 UV. It will not register any other UV format.

That's all right then, I suppose. Thanks for answering and clarifying. (I used "merchant tool" rather than "merchant resource" above, though your answers covered both, to specifically mean a plug-in or script that might output marketable products as an end-item, rather than a part of the end-item itself which would be a "merchant resource".)

I just think that an expanded and expandable version of this concept would be a very useful merchant tool, indeed.

This is not a merchant's resource but for renders only?

Correct... It is not a Merchant Resource... It is for personal use.

Yes, renders only. It is a tool for the user, not the seller.

This really does look wonderful, I might pick up the Genesis version but am another one disappointed its only for the female G2.

This is for Genesis1 and G2F. It has dual support:) To make a male version means an extra two + months of development. This project was a huge investment, so it's always best to see how one version is received before doing the next.

What can I say ... I am loving all of your products pretty much and this one is no exception and will be an immediate buy :) Especially looking forward to the skin color (adore the pale white, but also the blue) and eyebrow manipulation (yay!) as this is something that is usually not easily done with existing character sets.

Great job really and looking forward to more great products ahead

    If I may be so bold;

Will the tanlines-builder produce soft/blended lines or will the lines' edges be sharp like the toon skin shaders? I think on realistic human skin the lines are usually somewhat soft/blurred... and that would be my hope for how you engineered this feature, but I'll ask anyway just to confirm.

    Thanks

@ Quicktoxica. I did look at reference of what the commom blur radius should be for tan lines. There is no set formula because it depends on how long people tan, and how close the clothing item is to the skin when tanning. If you still feel it is too sharp, you can just open the tan files in photoshop and blur them more yourself to your liking:) But they do have blurring on the edges as is. Also by lowering the tan opacity, it also eliminates the strength of the tan, so that also contributes to how sharp they look on what ever skin you apply them to.

I've been wanting the ability to give Genesis 1/2 cybernetic eyes for a while. Was surprised there are no specialist products geared towards that. Great to see that this will allow us to create our own with (hopefully) relative ease.

EDIT: Could this allow for changing the colour of lips-only? I'm seeing there's an option.
