    possum soup time Stezza

    thanks for the info varsel

  • Stezza and HW, thanks for the good words on the 3 pigs render!

HW, thanks for the recommendation on software for making normal maps.  I did a search, and there are a couple of leaders in this area, apparently.  Something to explore down the road a bit.

Varsel, a very nice canvas texture effect and render!

Stezza, your usual NPR brilliance in the Pied Piper render, even though I am not a fan of Alice Cooper. :)

Just a word of encouragement to everyone.  Great updates.  Really enjoying even if I'm not commenting.

    watching Grimm episodes. scary. eek

fairytales were horror stories before they were disneyfied.

  • For me, Grimm is the most well-written TV show I've seen in this century.  Just started season 2.  Wow!

Very unusual and etheric render there, Misty. yes

UB - excellent pig vs wolf renders, one with the cannon is the favourite of the two

Misty - hope you get that shoe house to fit your render. Nice to see the Fairie Dragon getting some action.

Stezza - love the dog in the Loki render - "whats up boss ?" Tartan wings on the bagpipes made my day ! Glad to see Alice rocking the rats.

Headwax - Hansel & Gretel, like the first colour post worked version. Wicked witch needs purple or grey hair !

Diomede - great start on Pecos Bill and Slue-Footed Sue. Safe travels !

DesertDude - cute moth, hope you're making progress

Varsel, I was thinking about doing a troll under the bridge - need to think of something else now. Nice render ! Hope you get the apple scene sorted.

Work is kicking my butt right now, but this theme is so hard to resist.

I love Aesop and all the medieval versions.

DesertDude, I was also thinking of Thurber, so happy you are doing one.

Varsel, those queen textures are gorgeous.

Bunyip, the postwork on your frog prince makes his grin really stand out. I love it.

Misty, that monster rat is soooo creepy!

Stezza, I got to see Alice a few years ago. Lots of fun. I like that your giant rat seems to be greeting him like a buddy, lol

Headwax, the texture on the witch is a fabulous blend of colours, but I'm most intrigued by her sad eyes. There is a whole story there.

Sorry, I've missed a bunch, but this is a very cool thread.

I'm kitbashing Merlin's Archaic Ruins and Esha's Grapevines from the store. AM's fox with Carrara Hair. Hopefully i get something done.

    rendering scary is so different.

    the lighting,camera angle,

the psychology of what is off screen

Your second one made me wonder who or what the rat is considering pouncing on.

step aside Xerr... the Monster Rat is here!.... thanks Mysty wink

Two boys find the tin soldier, place him in a paper boat, and set him sailing in the gutter. The boat and its passenger wash into a storm drain, where a rat demands the soldier pay a toll.
