Don't know but "free nomon" on YouTube seems to be posting the videos and answering questions about it. Latest news is April for this followed by Mixamojo.
freenomon (haha, Kenneth) and the developer of the Genesis8 for Maya plugin are members of my Skype chat group. This is just one of a suite of animation tools coming from them. Some will be for using Daz figures in DS and some will be for Daz figures in Maya. Stay tuned.
Yeah, I did hear him say Kenneth on one of the YouTube videos.
They're now touting another product bringing Mixamo animations to DAZ... and DAZ commented on their video!

Paying for an "expensive" iPhone isn't just about buying the phone. It's a lot cheaper than a lot of other facial animation tools. If you change your mindset from "buying an expensive apple phone" to "investing in my animation", then it may make more sense to do so. I've done everything that I could to stay away from Apple products. Been on Android since forever, and even tried the Windows phone (a very sad experience). But, when Apple came out with the iPhone, and it's facial animation feature, I saw it as a tool that I can use for personal, and business.
I’m really hoping to see this come out. Dev says they’re just waiting on Daz.
I believe Daz Central's approval of new products - especially complex ones like this - have slowed due to the pandemic.
But I CANNOT WAIT for this, or the mixamo addition.
There is this https://www.daz3d.com/anihead
Unfortunately, anihead only moves the head. There's no facial features.
I wonder whether these products will come to the Daz store at all. Mixamojo and Facemojo are already being sold on Laylo's website.
Has anyone tried Facemojo yet?? I don't have the Apple phone/ipad pro needed to make it work. Trying to find one for a reasonable price. I watched all the instruction videos and it looks super easy to use!
Seems like there has been some kind of split between Laylo and free nomon.

He writes:
FACEMOJO is no long the same product. the programmer decided to go on his own with his own(?) blenndshapes. If so, then Facemojo that he is selling is NOT the same as what I have made with my system. I will be releasing my version of it with the Original blendshapes and solution as you can see in this Video.
Laylo has posted some new videos, and I'd say they're unfortunately not half as good as what free nomon was showing us:

Thanks for the heads up. Just call the new product FaceSync (lip sync & facial motion capture for Daz Studio).
I thought Ken/free nomon videos were better than Laylo's, Lips moved better. Have to see what he comes up with.
Agreed.
I messaged Ken and he says his is for sale if you email him.
Thanks, but just have to get the money.
New video with info on the product: https://youtu.be/FyLEfxHhXd8
Looks good. I can see him having some trouble with that store name, though.
+1
Looked at that video and went yikes, to me was really creepy..
OT: And well this product is certainly pushing Apple products, since to be able to even use this you need to have an iPhone to be able to use it.. And well here in Australia I could buy a decent Nvidia RTX video card which to me is more useful.. Because to be able to use the facial animation Mocap feature, you need at least an iPhone X.. But since they are no longer sold you would have to buy an iPhone 11 and right now here in Australia to buy an iPhone 11 you are looking at about $1100 AUD for one.. And that is way to expensive for something like this..
They have a bunch of iPhone X on ebay for a lot less than $1100 ($300 up) and there's the iPad with the depth cam which is what you need.
Does not matter really since I won't touch an iPhone or iPad with a ten foot barge pole, so I won't have to worry about this product when it comes out..
I can't wait to get ahold of this. I actually just got an iPhone 11 last weekend, my bill is going to be six dollars a month cheaper than the Google Pixel I had before. I had remembered the mocap thing and didn't even hesitate to trade in the android. I love Anilip 2 but being able to just do it all in one fell swoop is just an amazing thought.
I see the Laylo one just hit the DAZ store
I still am not buying an iPhoneX though, have fun everyone
my DAZ people will just smile and blink while they watch yours
Same here not buying an Iphone to use this, the other is the cost of the products, people would definitely need to have a use for it.. The other thing I noticed on the promos, is that MOCAP has a long way to go to capture human facial expresssions properly.. Or that Daz figures have a long way to go to get human expressions looking more realistic, as seeing some of those promo images the persons facial expression certainly did not match what was outputted to the figure..
it will be more of a priority to some I reckon given their HD DAZ people compared to what's on the other side of their mirrors
you need Iphone X for that lol
Is this thread about the new product in the store today, Face Mojo?
Does anybody have any experience with it? I looked for a commercial thread but couldn't find one... Is there a place where people are discussing how well it works?
Deleted. Bad joke.
Well I'm sure someone will buy it and try it. I have to believe that somebody out there has both an iPhone and an interest in this product. Now, whether they share with the rest of the class, or I can find that thread if they do, is a different story.
