i've only got two finished ones that I'm game enough to show LOL.

The first one I used the "laundromat" scene - retaining the yellow background and the lighting (of course!) and most of the model morphs, adding some more morphs and skin to it. And changed up the clothes too. I was quite happy with that one.

The second one I used the "sitting on the old safe" scene. I can't recall if I didn't have the background/scene or if I changed it out. I'm not really happy with this one, her expression looks kinda derpy ha ha, but it was just to see what things would look like. For some reason, that one took FOREVER to render, and I'm not sure why.

    They look awesome, Barbult!

I'm really hoping @linday will do a second version of these - I'm loving digging around with the lights etc in it.

Thanks jakiblue. I'd love to see some of your versions.

Oh, yes, that first one is GREAT! I see what you mean about the expression in the second one. Her eyelids look a little droopy or her eyes are rolled back a little or something, showing only half of her eye pupil. Still a nice render, though, but that first one WOW!

The expression was what made the second one so appealing to me. I guess I just like derpy. You and barbult are inspiring me to go see what I can discover with Linday. Thanks!

I looked at my lady on the safe, and she has the same eye expression LOL. Must be something about sitting on a safe.

LOL! laugh I do like her smile, thought that was quite natural...but yeah the eyes...didn't notice it at time of render LOL.

    And go for it!!!!

    Thank you! heart

Do you ever have that thing where maybe two out of ten art pieces you do, you are REALLY happy with? And the others, they're fine and you like them, but you don't get that same "oh wow I'm really happy with what I achieved here". LOL.

This started with a Linday scene and while the lighting and camera angle and everything is AMAZING, I am nowhere near happy with the figure and pose that I have inserted. Regardless, I learned some things just working with the scene. So, even when things don't work out, you still LEARN something! Worth every penny.

Looks good to me. Great contrast between the figure and the environment. Realistic draping on the outfit. Glow on the weapon. What didn't please you?

    Thanks @barbult.

    RE: What didn't please you?
Maybe composition, DEFINITELY the expression, maybe the angle. I've explored a few variations and am just not getting the happy-happy-joy-joy feeling of artistic accomplishment. <LOL>  It is possible I just had something in my mind and it is not adequately captured here. <shrug>  Even if it doesn't get used in my monthly DeskToppers, I really did observe some interesting things in Linday's scene and learned from working with it.

This is an image I did a while back - when it was done I KNEW I had something I liked.  The first image in question doesn't give me that.  I have an idea or two tho.

We now return to this thread's original topic, already in progress.

I want to be CRYSTAL CLEAR - I am crazy happy with the Linday scenes and every aspect of them!!!

    i really like it!!!

You used the scene's lighting as is? Curious cos I must be missing something as my lighting was quite different?

  • As far as I understand, this product contains nine scenes ready for rendering.

All these scenes consist of 56 products, some of which may be part of several scenes. If there is no product, you can replace it with a similar one or completely ignore its absence (for example, "Sunglasses for Genesis 8").

But it would be desirable, when loading the scene, to know in advance what it will lack. Therefore, I made a corresponding table for myself.

From what I already have, I can download the "First Day at School Scene" completely, without replacing products.

Maybe my table will be useful to someone else.
