here is a first render with the original set...unfortunatelly I have forgotten to change the spec and glossiness values for the set... that is what I do not like in whole for all sets I ever have bought. Glossiness and specular default values allways are not correct no matter who the vendor is, except one...Flipmode on Flipmode sets I never had to correct any values.
I have not gotten this set yet, but I've never had a issue with FirstBaston textures. Are you 100% sure that you have loaded the DAZ textures and not the Poser side only?

could be that I have used the poser files :)

It's a very nice set but it takes a very long time to load in Poser 10. I tried it in Poser 8 and it loads pretty quickly. I am trying to separate the four buildings into four separate figure files only it takes a long time to save those to the library in Poser. Poser 8 has locked up four times when trying to do so. Saving to a file isn't a problem.

I was hoping this set would have been broken up into four separate buildings instead of all in one.

    http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/1950-s-era-motel

have used the landscape and textures for this image and some props of the motel set + some grass from Andrey Pestryakov the container by Predatron (could used the one by Ness Period Production which I also have but I needed a smaller one) and some props of the trash stash also by Predatron. Clothes are by 3D-Age (Top) and Rhiannon (Jeanz) and Hitman47 (shoes) Hair is by Ali (Hair 083)

base texture of Dixies Skin is Natasha Elite Skin fixed by me (some tatoos and tan lines and some little spots here and there, not all you can see in this image). Clouds are from Ultimo Paradiso by AM (Used just the cloud-dome on a pale blue backround)

Lighting by AoA one Distand and one Ambient.

Yep, I know exactly what would happen there....

    Looks great!

You'll need a creepy looking house for the hill.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Hey Cosmo, long time since I seen you post something, I always like your artwork!

Found this in a folder while I was doing some LuxRender renders for my next environment. I can't remember when this got rendered, probably early in the beginning of the year, though it does look a little grainy, could have probably let it bake a little longer. Anyway, no point wasting an image.

If you have seen, I have you used the base ground texture also for the side hills :) gives a really good effect of criss-cross rally tracks :)
