is a vendor working on different wing style options?
"Style"?
like more articulating.
The current wings look good folded, but seem like stretchied plane when open.
i worry a pattern texture would look horribly distorted on it.
maybe it needs a different uvs when the wings are full open or scaled big?
*WHEW* Glad there are others that think that too. Give me skinny spine thingie's..... Uh.. OK now! ;-)~
While actually designed to thicken the spines and limbs, you can dial the "Wings Limb Thickness" in my DAZ Dragon 3 Wing Membrane Expansion to a negative value to make thinner spines.
Random suggestion: A shark-styled dragon character. Make the head shark-like and give it a row of dorsal fins down the back, rather than spines, along with two large dorsal/ventral fins to end the tail with (maybe a morph for a dorsal fin on or just behind the skull, too).
Don't know why, but I can just picture this model with a shark's style of head, complete with completely black eyes and it'd be a very cool hybrid/aquatic look... No need to take the hands/feet away, because it would look just as great on land, too.
Sickleyield's and my pack includes a sharky dragon, although he's not exactly like what you described. I'll try to get a render of him up here sometime today. :)
Oh, good to know! Not sure why, but the thought of a shark's head, complete with the conical upper snout and dorsal fin(s), on the Dragon 3's body, just seems really clear in my mind.
Your collective set is on my to-purchase list, anyway, but this relevancy makes it even more so. :)

I didn't pick up the textures (finances) but did manage to stretch to the morphs and they are well worth it.
I'd love to see a version of that with her looking all miffed, hands on hips and covered in ash, and the dwaggie looking aguilty, with wisps of smoke coming from his nostrils ;)

There some very impressive renders so far. Great Stuff. I have an IBM Power I that requires my immediate attention but I intend to spend some quality time this weekend in the company of dragon 3.
Having said that . . .
I've invested in the Pro bundle plus several other morph and texture sets. One thing that has struck me is that there are two saddles and two sets of battle armour for the dragon but there aren't a lot of poses for its rider. The dragon dreams set has a couple of rider poses and there are one or two more poses scattered through the other sets. How about some more rider poses for my Victoria Sixes, guys?
I had chance to do a little more work on a Reality/Luxus render of the DA Fire Drake.
Also started to set up some luxus mats for the DA Dragons Gold set.
I threw a tantrum and didn't bother to read this thread but now that I have calmed down I thought I would get positive about this new Dragon. I love the Genesis type base and gene pool collecting which is my favourite part of Genesis 1 for me. I like that HD can be done now too but am I correct in saying non HD textures will not follow a HD morph? If that is true then I see a flaw for me. Putting that aside I can see some of the shaping packages could be fun to play with and does open up the world for our own creativity which I am all for. I do hate having the same looking dragon as everyone else. :) Another reason I like the Gene Pool idea.
This may have been asked and if answered please feel free to slap me around a bit and provide a link. :P Are there plans for body spines, facial and body fins like we had with MD2? It was those that drew me too MD2. I still think these should have been part of the Base or at least the Base Morph package...then I would have gone on a diet and bought it. :)
Textures that do not come with the HD Morphs = non HD Textures. So if the texture set isn't made of a HD Morph then it will not follow the HD Morphs etc. That is what I have heard and wanted to see what others say that have these Base textures and HD morphs.

ISTR there was a bug at one point with exported objects having slightly different UV maps at different SubD levels, which has been fixed. I don't recall anything about HD morphs affecting UVs.
I'm confused by what you mean by "Follow the morph"
Are you asking "Do the textures have the highlights/details represented by the HD morphs painted on them?" The ridges on the dragon belly in my first picture are HD morphs, but don't appear on the texture. And I thought that was one of the points for HD anyway, that those sort of details don't need to be painted on any more.
If textures are made to any specific character shape, there will be stretching on other shapes. That is not a result of HD, just how meshes work.
The more extreme the shape change, the more extreme the distortion.
Some textures do follow the extra details in the HD morphs, I know mine do, so that it can add more visual detail to the HD morphed scales on my characters. But the HD details themselves will cause less stretching distortion than the actual morph that adjusts the shape.
Yeah it makes sense on extreme morphs granted. So as it stands I should be ok if the morphs or HD details aren't too extreme. I can live and deal with a little manipulation if required.

Thank you for showing that

Okay, my last one for a little while. :)
I made the original version of this image with Littlefox's Drake Plushie, but with the Dragon 3 in his place, the story changes quite a bit.
Gesundheit...? :-/
Gesundheit...? :-/
LMAO, yes :)
Just messing with the Dragon.
I was happier with this one than the aquatic attempt.

Can I play to?
White Dragon
You found the spec and alternate horn/claw options! Fun.
Play time? here's a little danger you might find deep down in the depths of the walled city. :)
Walkies!
The whole rowdy bunch out for an early twilight amble. Second shot's a close-up of the game of catch going on in the background.

Out for a walk in the city
Take the horns away and that's starting to look like Toothless from "How to train your dragon" :)

I'm not sure what you mean.

I would guess HD features like belly ridges would transfer across nicely but other details might not. Take http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/spectral-dragon-hd-for-daz-dragon-3 for example, some of those HD features aren't present in the Base and might stretch a base made texture set. I don't know that is why I am asking these questions so I can make informed purchases as I have to be very selective in what I buy. I do like http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/spectral-dragon-hd-for-daz-dragon-3 but if I am going to have problems when using http://www.daz3d.com/daz-dragon-3-textures on that HD shape then I may leave it.

Impressive! Where's the lightning effect from?
The Dragon 3 has some nice looks, but as with all the rest of the DAZ Dragons, the wings are still wrong... it's very disappointing.
