Not a bad character. Not exactly new, its Thorne, so there will be those that are happy about that, and those that shrug. I've been on both sides of that. However the content appears to be better than some others, and the deal is also decent if you take advantage of the offers on hand. There is a decent selection of freebies, and don't overlook the 5 G3 items for $1.99 thinking its only G3 and old stuff, a number of the items on that list are made for G8 as well.
The stacking discount purple banner brings the pro bundle down to about $28 with 3 add ons, the PC+ items count for this, and they will drop to $2 and $1 respectively with the discount. So if you put them in the cart along with one of the texture add ons, it will actually drop the price of the whole cart quite low. So about $32 for the pro bundle + 5 freebies, and maybe add $10 for the 5 G3 items to make $42 for a whole lot of stuff.
I think it would be nice to mix in some pro bundles in the freebie selections, just to give the newer people a chance to stock up on them, or ones who missed them. Give people the options while keeping the older users happy.

Daisy and add-ons a good deal, I thought. No problems deciding to buy this bundle. I always look forward to Thorne's characters.
Maybe i'm being perfectionist, or blind. But there is something in pixie hair that seems off. This is the only item i actually liked from the bundle and I did not notice at first, but after looking at the starter bundle promo pic at close this part seems to be wrong:
Its like a piece of the hair enters a void and then the tip pops on the side. I know clipping between items/shapes is something we deal with all the time. And "playing" with hair shape/poses is something i have done, but now that i saw it in that pic, i notice it is also in all the other renders. Can someone confirm its always like this, can it be easy fixed or maybe (probably) i'm just being dumb.
1, I think, is growing from the centre whorl over the left siode of the head, 2 is just a fly-away - pixie hair does tend to be floaty, and I think it's actually from the fringe.
well actual hairs do fall over and under each other
3D transmapped hairs are sheets and no intersections is actually more unnatural looking as hair does not fall in sheets it is strands
the lighting is probably more at fault there for revealing the 2dimensional sheet structure of the hair
Not sure if it affects it, but the Messy Pixie hair is able to be simulated. And yes, it is messy, and has a bunch of adjustment sliders too. And as someone with weird cowlicks all over the place, hair grows where it will. Sigh.

Daisy would've been an insta-buy. I loved "dark-themed" things. But it's just not possible right now.

IIRC, you get pro bundle banners once you own G8 10 pro bundles. If you just bought a few more, then you might well get a banner next time.
I think it might change or vary depending on the sale. We really don't know the exact number required to trigger the banners. The purple banner starts with "Since you own a significant number of Genesis 8 Pro Bundles" - the word "significant" seems like it could be different than previous offers. I think someone mentioned earlier that they usually get the banners but didn't this time, so it sounds like it can vary depending on the sale.
Wow, the Messy Pixie Cut hair just took 6 minutes to load! I clicked on it and got the hourglass just frozen there and came to ask what I should do to get out of that, got caught up reading a few forum threads and then suddenly finally the hair loaded! Anyone else have that problem?
I love this character, and to my eyes, her pro bundle is among the best values.
One has to wonder: how do dark fairies reproduce? There doesn't appear to be any anatomical elements with the base character, the two bundled characters, and three more that I picked up.
She is certainly much prettier than I was expecting "Daisy Eight" to be, lol. For those unfamiliar, "Daisy Ette" is the big bad in the 1944 sci-fi short story "Killdozer!", which became a "made for television" movie and got a Marvel Comics adaptation in 1974. Daisy Etta" comes from the bulldozer's number "17", "diecisiete", day-see-eight-e, which is how a 7 becomes an 8.

i just loaded it after reading your comment to check, and no, it loaded in normal time for me. Well, sort of. The loading box disappeared but I couldn't see the hair.....and then it appeared. However, with one base g8f and that hair, boy, the viewport is lagging BIG TIME.

I'm not savvy enough to understand any of that - is it a very heavy hair going by that? I think I'll be uninstalling it and not using it - I know there is a preview on and off but a hair that 'heavy' will just send my card over I'm pretty much sure, and I won't be able to use it.

Of course I can't find where now, but I seem to recall @RedzStudio saying some time ago that fiber mesh hair takes longer to load but renders faster. I haven't made my purchase yet, (will probably do so later today,) but I'll test the hair once I have it.
