I think it might be better if I first do some more research. Maybe just contact the person who created Look At My Hair. Thanks for your responses, Fisty.
I'll second that, thanks for the answers Fisty and everyone else, the notification bots must have gone on vacation or something, lol.
Leaves on trees have always been difficult to render (appearance and Crunch load), it is why 3DMark used a wilderness scene in most of there benchmarks (2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2011, etc, etc, etc). It is the one test that is guaranteed to bring a graphics card to it's knees.
Sorry, I know this is an old question but I bought these Grass Shaders recently and also wondered about Luxrender. So I tested in Reality 4 and the answer is no: they don't work. Don't know about Luxus or IRay - I have very little experience with the latter.
...they don't work in Iray either.
Reality and Luxus are two different ways of getting to the same spot...Luxrender. So, basically, if it doesn't work in one, it's 99.9999999% likely not to work in the other.
General rule of thumb...procedural items (shaders, hair, etc) are not easily translatable from one renderer to another. That means something that is designed as a 3Delight procedural (shader based grass, in this case/curve based hair (LAMH/Garibaldi)) won't work in a PBR like Iray/Luxrender/Octane...it may work in another Renderman compliant one...if the code isn't too 3DL specific.
FYI, with just a few quick color tweaks, the Nature's Variance makes some great rust materials too. Here's an example (no attempt at lighting or completing the engine, just doing a quick test of rusty metals here)
Iray does have various internal procedural textures, I have been using them to create (object space) procedural shaders. So would think a PA will soon have a release.
Bummer! :-( I really Need those shaders back to work! Iray Needs those shaders!

...seems like AoA had gone MIA though as we still don't have fixes for the Atmospheric and Graphic Art cameras which were broken by shader mixer changes in Daz 4.7.
