    We need  an answer to the question that was raised.  How did the html of the Daz site get a link to a browser hijacking software site? I don't consider this site safe at all until DAZ addresses this question. Was it answered elsewhere?

    According to Norton:  The result is the placement of unwanted advertising into the browser, and possibly the replacement of an existing home page or search page with the hijacker page. The idea is to make users visit certain websites whether they want to or not so the hijacker enjoys higher advertising revenue. Browser hijackers may also contain spyware to obtain banking information and other sensitive data.

     

    Having spoken to the team, I can confirm the site is secure. 
     

    It appears the PA used a 3rd party website to translate their product description and that generated some extraneous code which was then pasted in along with the translated text, and was never weeded out until the forum mods called it in..

    So it's nothing to worry about... and will hopefully be avoided in future.

    you mean he was hijackered ???

    anyway this is scary.. I don't use any antivirus into my PC and the only time I got a virus floppy disks were still a thing!

    if no one at daz checks each description and following updates the only way would be to impose only pure text, I guess.. anyway..

    I don't know, is it really such a bad deal?  I took advantage of the this sale. It includes many non daz originals that don't go on sale that often to my knowledge.

     

    Exactly - Getting PA items (non-Daz Originals) at 80% off is pretty rare. And when they do go that low there is often a new release purchase requirement where you have to purchase a new release or two to trigger that high of a discount. And PAs who don't make new releases anymore or rarely do, it's even rarer to see their products get that high of a discount. I was finally able to pick up some of Mairy's hair that have been on my wishlist for ages. Most of the hair I've purchased from them seams to clean up nicely and, once an Iray hair shader is added, they usually end up looking pretty good, imo. And Luthbel's stuff is high quality and usually stands the test of time and their items rarely get discounted that deeply. I just grabbed Future Wilderness and Axel International M5 and just did a render with them. It only took about 15 minutes to convert them to Iray (it would have taken less, but I was indecisive about which Iray hair shader to use lol). I'm really happy with how they came out:

    I think they are still great products and getting them at 80% was a steal, imo! :)

    I LOVE the outfit! You'll have to set smoothing on the kneepads and leg straps to collide with the jeans but other than that I don't think any other adjustments were needed to be made. The outfit was really easy to get Iray ready, imo.

    Did anyone else see the new coupon that was just up?  You could choose up to 3 items for 65% off, i clicked on the link to the page of items but didn't get the code so I went back to get it and the coupon is gone.  It was only up for seconds I think...

    @Kharma, You're probably seeing the banner by now, but if not, it's posted in the Flash Sale Alerts thread… I believe there's a link to the qualifying products, too.

    I didn't notice it at first because the zipper is the same color as the fabric around it, but once I turned the zipper to white I could see the issue. I think it has to do with how Iray reads Displacement vs how 3DL does. What fixed it for me was:

    1 Turn Smoothing Off on the shirt.

    2 Copy the surface from "10ShirtZipFabric" and pasted into the "10ShirtZip" material zone.

    3 Then I bumped up the displacement a tad on the "10ShirtZip" material zone

    That did the trick for me:

    The issue also shows up "smooth shaded" view, so I actually don't think displacement is the cause of the problem, but it sure works as the solution!

    Are people getting email receipts? All my receipts stopped after June 30 and I didn't receive gift a card code email after that either and had to send in a ticket.

    Just got one!  I use Gmail.  The message header and all are the same as in June.  Maybe check with your ISP?

    I got one a couple of hours ago. It's weird that you're not getting yours. :( When you go to "My Account" does it list the right email address?

    May I ask which scripts you used for the Iray conversions? I have quite a bit of pre-Iray items but am not sure which script(s) to apply.
    I recently purchased Iray Converter for Genesis (https://www.daz3d.com/iray-converter-for-genesis), Iray Converter for G4 (https://www.daz3d.com/iray-converter-for-generation-4) and 3D to Iray Converter (https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-3delight-to-iray-converter) but have yet to try them out. Also, I imagine that I would need other converters for clothing (any specific one?) and hair items (example: https://www.daz3d.com/universal-hair-shader-for-iray)?
