    lmaooooo! laughcheeky XDDDD... i didn't even realize! let's hope for our grumpy loan shark's goon here that his boss never never sees Hisashi in tight underwear.. or singing in a long silky dress, his status might take a hit XDD

    btw.. just saying... the title was really meant about the DS category! i don't care if boys are boys, girls, or anything in-between - gender is an outdated concept, and i don't like being put in a box either ^^
    it's just a pain not to have H listed with all the other "male-ish" figures since i don't draw "female-ish" characters, and clicking on just "people" also brings forth monsters, mutants etc usually

    yeah, here neither. i changed it myself, Hisashi appears under male too now, so visible for me in the category i use first/mainly, it's good - until my user data gets overwritten or sth. still in female as mentioned above but i don't care. guess support has way too many other more important things to do than modify a tiny detail in a figure's metadata... understandable.

    ok srsly, joke apart, support should read your post and REACT. can happen, but that often? i can see they don't have time to control at random, however when someone makes a bug ticket...

    I suppose though looking at Hisashi there at his face and and head shape with that converter they released recently he could be female does kinda look bit reminds me of a female/s seen somewhere can't remember seen a female/s in person on someone on tv/movies speaking of which on a side off topic of sorts I'm kinda suprised of sorts I have not seen anyone asking/suggesting any females with slight hair upper lip - though Hishahi converted to female could fill this area  or males/females with hairy under arms

    I did a ticket about it a long time ago, only Centaur 8 Male as a female was fixed.

    Just it's not a high priority issue.

    yeah why not..  tho Hisashi's not the 1st male figure i'd have picked to create a female figure.. not really cuz of the 5'clock shadow, more the very pronounced male features. there are more androgynous or just finer types like the rather kpop-ish guys that came out recently - Yang, Yong, or Riku... or Lucas 8. but i guess Hisashi is possible - just maybe not the kinda lady where the 1st that comes thru your mind when you meet them is "wow, cute".. XDD

    If this is still annoying some users, and you don't want to wait for an official correction, it will only take you a few minutes to make the correction yourslf. Note that vendor metadata (and I mean the metadata that comes with the product, whoever makes it) is considered read-only in the Content DB Editor. The only way to change it permanently is to modify the metadata file directly. Look in the [Library]/Runtime/Support folder for the .dsx file that corresponds to the product in question. For example, the SKU for Hisashi is 60235, so search for a 60235, or scroll down to DAZ_3D_60235_Hisashi_HD_for_Genesis_8_Male.dsx. Open it in your favourite text editor and search for the string /Female and change it to /Male. (There was only one in Hisashi, others might have more). Save and re-import the metadata. In DIM it's from a right-click on the product, in Studio it's in Content DB Maintenance. I do not know how for other install methods (Connect and Central). Refresh your Library and you're good to go. (Keep a copy of the .dsx somewhere in case you need to re-install, or replace the one in the package you use to install, if you keep the zips.)

    Gargoyle for Genesis 8 Male (CHR) is set as a female character too.

    Finally Samdy HD for The Brute 8 (2018-09-18) is now a male, it took 3 years to change his gender ...

    But at least they are finally doing something about those old help requests! A few of mine from years ago have been fixed, too. I'm happy to see that someone now cares enough to work on them.

    i decided to give my figures the freedom to choose how they identify, and they don't care much about labels and meta. WHO cares about meta, anyways XDDD

    and since i made one badass scene with Hisashi, i'll never forget that character, no matter in which category (well, having almost no females helps, i don't even need to subjump to the male category, people is enough) ^^ whenever i need a yakuza ...

    This won't work for Connect as it does a file integrity check when you login, so it will redownload and overwrite your newly fixed file with the old crap wrong file. I had the painful experience with dozens of DSX files I thought I was smart enough to edit myself ;-(

    Not in my experience - I have decomperssed and edited files without triggering an update marker, and even if it did get marked as an update DS would not download until told to. Edit: sorry, you were talking about metadata - the mention of file integrity check confused me.

    I would say that it's nice when I can filtered the 990 products (Figures category) and obtain a result of 138 items.
