I'm wondering what the end product will look like. So curious...! :)

    Here is the Noir Lady:

Her brows are rather high, so you'll have to paint them pretty low on the textures.

Thanks, I'll swap in that as an icon for her.

Here are a couple of teasers, I expect to have this packaged for release tomorrow [Monday].

Teasers no longer required as the product has been released ;-)

  • I agree, those are nicer ... snagged one for your icon ;-)

Here she be, Lady Noir. There is no .cr2 loading file this time - I tested these with it and decided you know, for everyday use it's not very helpful as the power loader really is needed to get all those delightful morphs for V4.2 loaded. So there be the Pose files and the Morph files. For those new at this, do NOT move the morph files. Pose files have to stay somewhere in the main Pose file under libraries under Runtime. These are 'Poser' files.

Fanart = noncommercial use of course.

    Catherine,

I've installed the files in Poser Pro 10 and they work perfectly.

Thank you for your kind heart, patience and all your help. Oh - and your sense of humor too. :)

Without you this project would never have happened. I've learned so much from you.

If there is a way I can repay you, just let me know.

    With gratitude,

    AOBB

You're welcome :-) Glad I could help, no repayment required ;-)

The hair has a good start. Hopefully by the end of the week it'll be done.

    As for textures, I do have some resources but that would have to be another week. If somebody else has more time that's okay too. {I work with the theory the more the merrier}

This time Lady Noir with her hair down... ;)

  • As the pages grow apart, here is the link for the page for the Rockabilly Noir hair for V4. It is made as a prop to fit the Lady Noir morph.

And for those wanting the hair for any of the Genesis gals [with or without V4 dialed in}, click here.

    Enjoy :-)

  • Lady Noir Version 2. For a little variation ;-)

This was made by AOBB and is herein released as per her request.

I thought I'd make my own diffuse map for Lady Noir v2 (V4.2). Here it is in a couple of variations that I thought might be helpful to those who want to create their own textures for LN2. I used Catherine's Rockabilly Noir hair prop in the rendering of Lady Noir v2. Thank you, Catherine.

    Non-commercial use only.

    Enjoy!

If Lady Noir is a texture set, so long as you created the texture from scratch and did not utilize any existing textures in any capacity, then this is fine. Otherwise it is non-distributable, regardless of the conditions placed on use.

Except for the brows which I extracted from a royalty free photo everything is made from scratch (pores included), so it should be fine now.  I used a non-commercial version of a 3d painting program to make the skin, hence the textures are for non-commercial use only. Is that okay?

Here is another skin texture I created for Lady Noir without resorting to anyone's textures. I used the non-commercial 3d painting program (Mari) and painted it on the model of the head using skin color samples. Then I took it into photoshop and smoothed it out a bit. Feel free to use it as a base for your textures. Again only non-commercial use.

To help you out with texture placement, I am also attaching a LN2 UV map rendering that you can superimpose on the skin map in Photoshop or another photo editing program.

Lady Noir was a smoker! Found a free cigarette over at ArtStation. The way ArtStation is set up both free and paid for items show on the same page. Hoping that 'cause the paid for version is only about a dollar somebody with a club doesn't mind too much.

Image is not using any textures or morphs for Lady Noir except the Fiber Eyelashes which are being sold at Daz3D for Verity G8F. Shown on G2F ;-)

Oh, man. That is so funny, Catherine!

Your "Lady Noir" has quite an attitude too! Just like a femme fatale should. It's all in the cigarette, isn't it? ;)

BTW, those fibermesh brows are pretty good! :)

Thank you. As soon as Verity came out I bought it just for those eyebrows. With the coupon applying it was only a few dollars. They can be fitted to the other generations too and to V4 providing one resaves the file so it is not a H. file - and one would also have to resave all the mat presets, I'm not a big fan of H. files.

You need to check the EULA. What software are you using?

    I use Mari 4.0 v1 non-commercial.

This is what I found on Foundry's page about the non-commercial license:

    Non-Commercial License

"If the License is a Non-Commercial License, Licensee warrants and represents that Licensee is a natural person, that they will only access and/or use one copy of a Non-Commercial License for personal, recreational and non-commercial purposes and that only Licensee will use the Software. Under a Non-Commercial License, Licensee will not use the Software: (a) in conjunction with any other copies or versions of the Software, under any type of License model; (b) for any commercial, professional, for-profit and/or on-sale purpose or otherwise to provide any commercial service(s) to a third party (whether or not for financial or other reward and including for education, instruction of or demonstration to any third party for commercial purposes); (c) in the course of any employment or business undertaking of Licensee; (d) on any commercial premises during business hours (except where use of the Software is solely for a personal, recreational, educational or other non-commercial purpose); and/or (e) to create any commercial tools or plug ins."

This is all I found in the Foundry's EULA. As far as I can understand this legal language (and I admit I'm horrible at legal stuff) I think I'm okay, because my textures are distributed without profit and their use is non-commercial.

I also use the full, commercial version of Photoshop CS6.

We recommend you remove the textures and contact The Foundry to make sure you are not violating the EULA. It's for personal use, so might not allow for sharing the work you create.

Okay, so I did check with Foundry if it is legally fine for me to post the textures I made in non-commercial Mari and here is their response:

"Without going section by section with the NC EULA. If no money is changing hands you are fine. Thank you for checking."

With that out of the way I am putting back up the textures. :)
