The promo after Ms. Rin on the Bundle page, under the clock.
LOL
a video
Thank you for the scene file.
One thing I noticed is that the open/close dials for the cabinet doors are not all labelled correctly.
thanks Aabacus I will try your setup too as mine was rather messy (was a different lesson)
Thanks for the scene file. One other error I noticed is that Saturn's rings in the Solar System model appears to be a square plane.
I had to add the diffuse to my back packs, weird
nothing to do with you, just quirks between computers obviously, get the occassional one going between my two too
my Saturn has its ring BTW
@Aabacus The "Twisted Rubics cube" you report as missing is the HSSC Puzzle Cube in the Classroom Props product. At least that's one issue solved!
I cannot see that shelf in yours either or the American flag as you noted but I just stuck that near the teacher's desk at the front, truly a mystery where they go
theNewton toy is on the teacher's desk
Mine is a square plane which on close inspection has an image of the rings imprinted on it. Also getting what appears to be gouges in the model
odd, mine even exported to iClone with alpha rings but as I said I was missing the Backpacks diffuse but had all the other maps
your deep pits are missing but it has a paper mache look which is likely intended (iray render in D|S not converged)
@ Wendy: Wait, we are talking about different models. I was talking about the Saturn model that is part of the Table Plenets, while you are talking about the one in the Hanging Planets. What does your Saturn in the HSSC Table Planets look like?
oh
yeah same
maybe it's meant to represent something the students made for a project hence rough looking and not perfect looking
the failed science room bundle download what is that is included in that that is missing from this set it a lot of of props? On a side not there are several new released products I've bought last few days that are not showing up correctly or a missing stuff
I am still getting a failed download with this bundle. Is there some trick to getting a download?
The DIM log shows an Error - 404 : Not Found, so there is nothing to download, trick or no trick. Usually, if there is a package for the bundle itself, it would contain bonus material, like, maybe a preset for the props, but it would be a fairly small file. This one weighs in at 330 MB, probably an agglomeration of the three parts of the Science Classroom (allowing for redundant texture files, which I am sure are present).
Unfortunately the presets aren't the only things missing. There are several items missing like the Science Books. Also the mini pics aren't accurate. So I'm a bit speechless, what to do next. I could live with it to assemble everything, but when the objects are missing this assets becomes pretty worthless.
I think I will write to their support about, but then from my experience there isn't any reimbursment for flawed items...
Aaaaactually (LOL) there are 2. One that is a cube and one that is partially twisted. At least in the pictures it is partially twisted.
If you are talking about the one with the three sections it's on top of the cabinets in the back of the room on the right with the blue bins in it.
I put a quick scene file together to fill that gap. It's incomplete but should get you closer. If I get a chance I'll try and finish it up. However, yeah, if have a way to fix things that'd be cool!
I purchased this 2-3 days ago and still can't download it (DIM). Is there any official word on what the dealio is?
- Greg
I'm not really happy with the skeleton either. It's OK for distant shots but even with increased subdivision and smoothing/rounding the bones are squarish and angular. Even the old V4/M4 skeletons weere better.
Here is the classroom skeleton with subdivision at 5 and rounding/smoothing.
Edited: duplicate post
kinda really torn. Haven't looked played with this bundle yet and I did debate for awhile whether to buy or not whether could get any use for it and the class room looked kinda youngish student type not older ones/adult ed but caved in bought it after few raved thought could maybe do a few music type scenes and fantasy/scifi/horror ones with it. Then reading problems others having and like others can't download some of it debated whether should return it then you upload this video and make it look interesting useful WendyLuvsCatz aaaahhhhhh
well for what it's worth, I am very happy with what I got for the price
a preset would have been nice but most people kitbash anyway
it has separate props and the PA involved is one of those known for doing stuff in one piece so definitely an improvement on that
my other video of me placing props was not a complaint
it was rather fun
a fun challenge would be different people submitting their combinations
I think my major complaint is that the promo images can not be completed in their entirety with the assets provided. The way the package is broken up between props and room is also random. Again, the quality issues are not with the concept or the assets. It's the last bit with packaging/grouping of objects etc. Why group things and make them completely unusable for kitbashing? It feels rushed and like there was no QA...I mean...the icon doesn't have a picture of the item? Really?
yes, i agree. Im glad they ported it over, but i would rather wait a bit longer and spend a bit more for them to do it properly; include all the assets they obviously had access to and package presets properly. Perhaps rig some more of the props (but this part isnt that important).
Has anyone been able to fully download this bundle as of yet? I would hope that somehow the team behind the scenes would send everyone an email notification, or drop a message in their online account, indicating when this product is actually available for correctly downloading without what appears to be a great deal of piecing things together. This is where it would really be nice if there were user ratings on products in the store...it would save some time and energy on all of the extra that happens when things do not work, or work as described.
I am also noticing that unless it is just me (probably) but the main room and the base furniture seems a little out of whack scale wise.. But on the other things I have no idea why a prop preset was not supplied, it is there for the promo images.. It just would of been nice to have the option to have a prop positional preset with the product..
