Thanks, I was confused as they appear (at least in your screen shot) in shader presets, I thought I knew the difference between shaders and presets but recently I've seen things I though shadres in the preset folder so I'm confused again.
Are they easy to customise, for example is it possible to alter the colour.

that seemed to be where other shaders were installed to so i figured it was the place to put them..

and yes the color can easily be adjusted

Time for the tough questions :D

So far they've been on inorganic surfaces, but would they work as well on, for example, a Genesis figure to make it look like their face is caked in grime? I've been using overlays for a while now, but they all have the same glaring flaw -- they don't match up on seams, which makes things look very odd on faces, especially around the neckline.

Oh.....this.........I would buy in a heartbeat.......if I could use it to make my pretty dresses look filthy......even better!

On expanding the images I see text......apply dirt shader...then re-apply original texture map in base diffuse channel.......could it be?

    Magic?

    When please?

while they will work on clothing and figures the shaders are really designed for hard surface type objects first and foremost

Oh......pretty please......could you try it on a clothing article........and post the result? I would really like to see the results it can get. :)

here's an example on clothing..the shader interacts with the mesh and places dirt in creases/folds and along edges..so they are better used on hard surface items

Hey thanks for taking the time to show this for me......it is definitely an interesting shader...........perhaps you will make a dirty/grime shader for clothing one day :)

The difference in technical definitions frequently gets stretched and confused; the same thing goes for "Lights" and "Light Presets". I just assume nowadays that there isn't a difference, and it doesn't matter if anything shader-like gets installed into one folder or the other.

About the new shaders themselves... Want. Very want.

Hmm.. The man himself does not think it looks good on clothing. Well I myself think it works very well on clothing, now add in the hard surfaces and this Drow is going to maybe crack a smile, doubt it but I might.

Want this, never knew I needed these, saw this and knew I needed these a long time ago.

Brilliant. Love to know how you got the shaders to detect edges like that. I think that's just amazing. Kinda reminds me of what can be done with DdO and Substance Painter which I've recently discovered!

This is very very interesting, I really like the results in those images, a great deal of potential uses.
