Was the V4 Era the Golden Age of Creativity?

...love a lot of the A3 clothing.  Used to be able to fit A3 clothing to Genesis "classic" but with newer versions backwards fit support began to wane.

I know for me personally, I was more creative during the V4 era which ended mid G3 for me when I switched from Poser to DS for iRay. When people look at my art they always like the older stuff better. I didn’t even try for realism and did a lot more postwork. When I do realism, people just think it’s a photo or based on a photo (and even though I explain what it is, don’t really get it,) and they are much less impressed. I’m not sure what my future should be with this. The newer products take way longer to render, often crash my machine and then I end up doing hours of postwork after that to make the render look less realistic and more creative.

As far as PAs, I think their creativity is steady. I don’t see a decline in creativity but do see a decline in sexiness. Too many long dresses, flat shoes, outfits that leave no skin showing...  I think V4 was the era of hotness and G8 is the era of realness.

A very quick render putting my money where my mouth is, one vendor I do miss from the v4 era is surreality, they very much did things of an aestetic I like.

I needed to spend more than 10 minutes on the refit because its a bit wonky at the waist, but it was pretty easy to convert to Iray, and dforce didnt explode it.
