No, not when fitted. I was doing something else and just fitted the outfit to a character I was using at the time (Angharad I think) so I could see the sliders. I've got a render cooking at the moment, but when that's done I'll reload Monique and have another look.
Okay, so I loaded it on to Monique again. The sliders are there for Robyn, Mika, Sakura and Rynne, as before. In addition there are sliders for Top Back Depth, Top Braces Heights (sic), Top Chest Depth and Top Lower Length. Adjusting the the top chest depth and braces height reduces the pokethrough on the shirt, but it's still very messy - especially the top of the frilling.
The pants have no character specific sliders, but do have glute adjust, length and waist adjustments, none of which reduce the hideous tearing on the pants. There are other sliders, ones with technical sounding names which I've never fiddled with in any dForce outfit, and don't have a clue what they're for.
Try applying smooth modifier of +2 or thereabouts and I'd be very surprised about any pokethrough - that said, I haven't bought so I'm only guessing based upon using other DForce products.
I meant you'd see fewer sliders if the item was fitted than if not. If you are not seeing the sliders for the supported characters when the item is not fitted to another figure, even with Preferences>Show Hidden Properties enabled in the parameter pane option menu, then I think that needs a ticket.
Just wanted to say thanks for this and the other information you provided here, it's a lot of useful information that I wouldn't have gotten from the promos and store description.
Often I've found that increasing the smooth modifier value makes poke-through worse which, to me, is counter-intuitive. I'm talking in general because I also don't have this product.
Very weird. From the looks of promo, impression that it's part of outfit. Oh, well.
Thaanks for this useful thread. The item is now out of my wishlist.
Yeah, I've seen some items where +2 worked great but +5 was a disaster, LOL - trial and error - throwing on a push modifier is another trick (reducing push setting to 0.1)
Jabba this is an appreciated suggestion one I often forget to do when I am having issues. BUT for a product thats dforced in the A pose on a supported figure, it should not even have to be thought of. This should have not even made it through quality control.
I was pretty interested in this release cause I thought it would be a cute girls outfit, it includes several jewelry options and its something pretty close to what my daughter wore when she was younger. Now I think I will take it off my wishlist, I feel that the quality of the products have gone down hill so that they can be pushed out to the customers faster. It irritates me that this product is listed as a "Kids Outfits" when its the exact same except the shoes- this does not make it a seperate outfit and then there are no supported kids morphs included! I understand about the wrap because of Daz's restrictions but there should be a disclaimer in the description saying its not included.
When I first started back using DS I felt that it was a good thing to support new PAs so they can keep going and improve but not I am starting to feel like were going to have to start talking with our money and returning/not buying things until they are fixed because there are just to many issues here lately and to many of them that are not being addressed.
I had bought the outfit and curious I loaded a character, the the pants, then the top, and slippers separately. I used the sliders to adjust for the character's build and to make the top longer in the front. With the simulation frame set up, I used one of the included poses and let it rip. No issues. The fabric makes me think of chiffon, nylon, guaze, or really light silk. I tried the hat, and while you can size it and move it, I just didn't want to deal, or mess with a hat product to fit it over hair.
On my laptop, I tried to do something similar on a young teen character, but used shaders on the outfit, and the fabric went really weird. Kind of crinkly, like when you accidentally dry a cool temperature item in a hot dryer and bits melts together or a kitten made a nest on it. I also tried loading the 'sets' on her and they looked pretty bad. Individually loading the items worked. I did use accessories on her, had to dig the earrings out of her head by expanding them and moving them. The necklace was in the neck and one bracelet was almost invisible, expanding it worked for both.
For me, I want to continue trying to work with the outfit. I agree with everyone, that littel shawl thingie would be lovely to have.

It's SO WEIRD! That shaul-thing is in over half of the promos, and is color-coordinated to the outfits in every pose image! It would be extremely easy to make the assumption that it is included. Description or not, this really is surprisingly close to false advertising in my book. What's weirder, however, is that it's most likely to appease DAZ 3D's weird rules about shoulders.
It's strange that they'd allow a rule such as this to create a situation where there's such potential for poor advertising. It's there call, it's their company, just like how (IMO) over-censored these forums can be, but it's something that makes me scratch my head a bit.
I don't get why this is marketed as a kids product. It looks like something my granny would wear.
The promos have an uncanny valley feel to them. The poses just don't look like children. The look like a small adult.
I agree that the shawl should be included. It is too prominent a part of the outfit.
I was initially interested because I thought it could be worn by any age group. Then I noticed that the shawl/sweater thing wasn't listed and then I saw the posts with the weird artefacts.
I agree about the misleading promotion (it would have been simple to say "Shawl Not Included"). I'd say more about the over-censorship but it would probably be censored.
this product looks cool, maybe i can buy it later, then the same as aways for peoples which had bought what is the vertice count of it??, each piece if possible.
Top - Vertices: 32,258
Pants - Vertices: 64,649
hmm thanks, looks like a very "dense" mesh, specially the pants, just 2 pieces and 100k, really dense.
It's just rubbish. It should never have been offered for sale.
I did some test renders and it works well for me.
First render GF8, second render Monique 8 and third render Monique 8 default pose
Looks adorable. Too bad the little jacket is not included but not really bent out of shape about it. Downloading it now
I'm pretty sure it's a jumper (or sweater) slung over shoulders and tied in front. Wonder what it's from.
this is where the no underage shoulder promo rule has some ridiculous consequences
maybe they need to stick a starter essentials tshirt under all kids clothes in promos as everyone has those
I wondered that. Did they create a sweater for the promos and not include it or is it from another (possibly unreleased) set by them. If it's from another vendor and currently available it would be nice to know which one as I think a lot of people would be interested in recreating the look in the promos.
My take on the original point is that the promos that feature the sweater, or the description, should definitely have had a disclaimer stating that the sweater wasn’t included as it is a prominent feature of the outfit as shown in the main, and subsequent two, promo pictures. I have seen other products with disclaimers that the character used, the hair used and even the props/scenery used are not included.
Guys I am so sorry that all the promos were shown the capelets which was not included and NOT noticed in the promos which is NOT included. I read all your comments and you taught me so much. I will be more serious about my future products. Thank you all for your supports!
You can smooth out the defects with smoothing, but yes, the missing shoulder drape is quite disappointing...
@RareStone
At least you acknowledged this, and for that, you get that much more respect!
You could easily address this issue by uploading an update that includes the capelet. Daz tells me that I own 20 of your products, but as it stands, I will not purchase this one.
Maybe the term "Kids" is used the way we, who have seen the better side of fifty, are thinking... =Anyone under thirty
I'm just here for the same thing, don't care about the clothes I just want to find the character.
To me the question is not what character it is, it is "What smile is that?" The smile is what really makes this stand out.
That skin has got to be one of bluejaunte's. I'm thinking Naomi or Ensley. It so happens most bluejaunte girls have a custom smile, however they are all open smiles. Maybe RS simply closed the mouth on one?
The shape, I am not so sure. If the skin is Naomi, then there could be a little Naomi in her. She kind of does have Naomi's mouth, the bottom lip has that shape. But that lip shape could be somebody else.
Someone said to me they think it's Virtual World's Margot maybe with a bit of Growing Up for Gen8 mixed in, to make her younger?
And I think Virtual World uses the Unique Smiles a lot too to get that smile - Margot and this character look almost identical in the face with the same smile
