  • Now imagine the results when doing a mixture of only characters of certain PAs... and realising that they used some product like this for years do make their characters... devil

Remember that a character made this way would have all the morph/character sets used as required products - most PA characters are fresh sculpts, possibly on a specific name 8 character, or use the base Body Morphs (and possibly Head morphs) only.

The term "realising" presupposes that this is in fact what they have been doing.

...and using the word "imagine" means it's fiction.

Because it is just fun to see what comes out.

    Exactly!

I'm debating buying the new Zev0/Bitwelder randomizer precisely because I feel like any characters I create with dials all end up feeling generic - they don't have any of those imperfections that make people real. And in my case, it's not because of my personal style - I'm not choosing this outcoming, and I don't particularly like it.

I love art because art is fun, and I'm learning to love creating art in Daz because Daz is fun. I have a great deal of respect and appreciation for PAs, regardless of what products they are producing, because they are making products to help others have fun creating art. It's a simple thing that's easy to take for granted, but I think that makes it even more important that we try to remember it.

That being said, I still want to spend my money on products that would be more useful to me, and these randomizers do seem to be very similar on the surface. Can anyone who's tried out Shape Gen Plus offer some feedback about what that particular product was and was not good for?

I just don't get why anyone would want randomly generated characters. For me, the most creative aspect of this hobby is to slide those morph adjusters to make a character that is unique and convincing. That's probably 80 percent of the reason I indulge in this hobby. I'll go further and say that I rarely, if ever, use a commercial character "out of the box". Those I buy serve as the basis for my own variations.

It's a good basis for getting something unique and that we like.

I certainly don't want my characters looking like everyone else's.

I'm not sure this is a product for people just starting out.  You can get interesting results just putting the textures from one character on another.  There are already a lot more nice character morphs than there are nice textures.
