Men Fashion - Suggestions

in The Commons
Hello everyone. I already have some attires currently in WIP. The classic 2/3 piece suit, military uniforms and winter attires.
But I want to know what other clothing for men you would like to be seen made. Please leave your suggestions below.
Thanks!

I've always wanted one of these for my guys: https://innovacorsetry.com/pages/corset-vest-s-gallery, but I'm pretty sure I'm alone in that one.
Corduroy.
Turtleneck sweaters, both thicker and thinner, with detail on the neck to see the fabric folds. Some ability to mix and match the turtleneck with the suit you are already working on would be wonderful. I'd also love to see some bigger, chunkier cardigans, with shawl collar cardigans being a personal favorite. Would love to see anything you come up with really! I'll post if I think of other things missing from the G8 wardrobe.
Two words - tactical turtleneck!
Available in black and slightly darker black.
Not anymore!
I think your current projects are exactly what are needed. There aren't many PAs who are producing garments for contemporary situations of this quality. I render mostly female characters, so I'm mostly interested in garments that could potentially be worn by either gender, which would also help expand the customer base.
Trenchcoats
Windbreakers
Cargo pants and shorts
Baseball jacket
Unconstructed baggy suit, e.g, linen
Pyjamas
Fleece vest
Shell jacket
Also AlmightyQUEST's stuff. :P
Absolutely not alone in that! Somewhere in the forum, it was posted before, I think.
Also, that big winter coat that you have in your other thread.
Imperial Japanese Naval uniforms have always looked exceptionally cool to me, and I don't believe I've ever seen them available for DAZ or Poser. The officer whites and blues are especially nicely designed, and could be quite versatile with a variety of textures.
Just day-dreaming out loud. :)
(see attachments)
...a generic baseball uniform with various textrures.
My big, tall wish is for ice hockey (1) and lacrosse (2) equipment for G8M. The M4 hockey set does not convert well, at all. The gloves are a complete disaster, for one.
More generally,
Some clothing from 1969 onwards to the 80s with a few more that could be modern day
a) jean bell bottoms
b) shirts with balloon sleeves
c) Vietnam era olive drab battle fatiques, heavy jacket, etc, repurposed as civilian clothing (not common since the late 80s)
d) flannel shirts with different plaid patterns (eventually some called this lumberjack or grunge look but it was common all over at least from the late 70s)
e) jeans: 501s, 505s, acid washed, stone washed but not painted on tight
f) polo/golf shirts: LaCoste
g) golf attire:aka those loud plaid/tartan slacks men used wear on a golf weekend along with the not as made as much fun of cap, shirt, and sometimes sweater
h) traditional fishing clothing, eg New England, Iceland, the Maritime Provinces
j) dress casual aka Dockers: pleated and flat
k) service uniforms of various types: eg. USPS, UPS, FedEx also traditional carpenter's clothing, house painter's clothing, and so on there are many traditional styles of professional clothing uniforms that need to be researched so they can be properly presented as product for sale.
l) winter men's underwear aka longjohns (two pieces), panhandles (two pieces), union suit (one piece with a flap in the back)
Bonus points:
1) Modern Western Wear including formal modern western wear. Think Forth Worth, Billy Bob's, Longhorns. As a subset of that think: a formal black & white tuxedo crossed with country & western wear with cowboy hat and string bowtie (and gals in pastel southern belle style dresses without the big bell skirt but flat or formal evening gowns). That was 90s there but it looked fine, very fine.
2) Mexican clothing including some Tex-Mex style crossed styles, eg a cross between a Mexican poncho and American hooded jacket with heavy woven wool with Aztec style geometric patterns.
3) Daniel Boone / Davy Crocket pioneer style clothing
All the ideas you see above, but with morphs that open and close, up and down, and show that men can also look as sexy as woman in their Daz store clothing. Any male clothing items that can achieve this always gets my money. Also a good set of material zones so it's easy to create your own style with different shaders.
It's paractically a club now. I'm actually thinking of buying one for myself..they look cool.
I would like to see some over-sized items with turned up sleeves or legs to give smaller persons some hand-me-downs to wear. (Older brother - younger brother)
Male fashion?
Jeans, T-shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie, nice jacket.
... Job done.
Those definitely look cool. I could totally see me buying one for my 3D males... :)
I don't have much use for contemporary clothes, but I could use a good blazer and coats. Bonus points for items which could be used in historical / steampunks / Sci-fi settings with a change of shaders.
Costumes of the first half of the twentieth century
Yes please.
Same here
I would love to see some civil war outfits, the Cavaliers rather than the roundheads.
Did they support Caesar or Pompey?
The Bolsheviks.
A stylish scarf that is actually morphable and floating?
Something like this:

+1 for the "eras gone past" stuff! We have enough modern clothing.
I'd also really really really really love to see a good, detailed moderatetly puffy-sleeved poet's shirt, pirate's shirt, and/or medieval tunics. Yes, there are some out there but they lack that fine detail for realism, particularly around the shoulders, sleeves, and cuffs. No realistic stitching, etc. Not necessarily fantasy stuff...but just...good historical stuff. I've been looking for ages for something that would work for a hobbit outfit, which again, doesn't require actual "fantasy" clothing. The main piece I'm struggling with is a good buttoned shirt...because all of the buttoned shirts we have are skin tight modern business apparel (along with any jackets that go with them). I've attached a few screenies of the general stuff I'd go bananas over.
PS - Please also allow for unbuttoning, one or two buttons or the whole shabang! Rolled sleeves option too!
Equal opportunity bodice ripping!
It's another historic request, but I could definitely use a 19th/early 20th century Norfolk jacket. The kind the illustrators always used to put Watson in whenever he and Holmes left London. I gather they were fairly standard gentlemen's country wear. Quite a few childrens' book illos show young boys in them as well.
PoserWorld had one for M3 and it autofitted acceptably to G1, but not so much lately. Theirs also had the downside of the pants, gaiters, and shoes all being one garment. The shirt and tie were a part of the coat, but that was more or less acceptable, since you couldn't see much of either. I don't think I've ever seen one of those jackets depicted as being worn open.
They were certainly worn into the early 20th century. I'm not sure that they weren't around to mid-century or so, but am not sure on just when they stopped being commonly worn.
Whatever men's clothing you finally feel inspired to create, would you please endeavor to ensure that its trouser tuck area is realistic? A recently released uniform product had such unsightly creases and unbelievable tucks (in my opinion) that it did not, and will never, make it to my wishlist. It's just such a pity as that product was beautiful overall. Just my $0.02
There is only one problem for me. There is a lot of empty space between the belt and the polo. In real life, the folds will hang over the belt. I think this made for large, muscular figures, but I use only default genesis 8 body
