Yeah, Attic Anne posted that happened to her too. BTW, someone let me know the hair is not showing 58% but it is now- so if you are shopping the hair, be careful that you don't get caught in a site glitch while checking out. I'm seeing 58% and my page is not cached because I hadn't visited that section. (Too many other things, can't keep up.)
Remember to scoop up the V4M4 stuff as it might change over in a couple hours. (It's 10:30p here, so you have about two and a half hours before 1am which is when it changes over Central time.)
Just saw the thread and tested the cart- yep, the hair is showing correctly BUT NOT IN THE CART. Oh my. Why do they break things that were working just fine? (I have to believe people have been shopping that category before NOW.)

I often get textures for things I don't even own then get the items on sale. I've picked up a lot of great things and it's usually less than a month before the other item goes on sale. For example, I don't have AFC for Men but am buying the textures as they are 99 cents!
I did notice that Venom Hair AND the colors (Taint For Venom Hair) are both in this Category 10 sale- nice to get them both at the same time.

the 3d dream hair is nice. Bought all of the ones available. The hair just renders well.
Also got awesome anime eyes to trigger v4 sale, and that big sci-fi guns which just popped up as free.
Too many environments I want right now. DAZ 3d needs to lay out a coupon for the larger stuff. =-)

Love that one- it's very handy.
BTW, I posted over in Commons to be careful about Fast Grab- when I first went to the page, it did NOT show items I already owned, even though it was checked. (It works on all the other pages when I first come on.) I had to exit and come back on for it to show. I wouldn't have known except I had showcased Nexxus Sword before on this thread. That is disturbing because now I'm not sure I trust the Show What I Own.
SO unprofessional. Category 10 for no reason at all just went Category 9, so it wasn't even up 24 hours. I just lost everything in my cart. Come on DAZ get with the program! They're up for days, then 24 hours, now not even that. No warning whatsoever. They just lost a lot of sales.
The hair and characters I picked up for Category 9 (I cruised through in 15 minutes before any more changes. Not going back, either! And Taozen said the page just went to Category 4. Ridiculous!)

Well, it was worth getting the anime eyes (maybe one day I'll use them? who knows!) for the Phoenix1966 character discounts. Finally Ulrich and Hanzo showed up, but not Stefan... he's avoiding me. So Ulrich and Hanzo it is (I can use their textures even if not the M4 morphs), and I got Stolz the Younger too so now I'll have to wait for another sale on Stolz.
With these quick-changes of the categories, I didn't want to hang about.
Maybe he's in a different time zone and you just keep missing him. Like, DAZ time zone. Gotta be quick. (Couldn't resist.)
Jack did come on the Member's Only thread about the quicky changeover and said it definitely should have run 24 hours. We'll probably see Cat 10 come up again sometime, but no guarantees.
So as to why I've not been posting renders, I'm ZBrushing. Made this from scratch from a sword tutorial. Wheee!

This is not the only combo that dose not include the extra color sets for the included combos (Olympia Pro, vs "Jungle Girl" and "Jungle Girl Textures"). Not complaining, just pointing out some stuff others may want to include in the purchase of the bundle.

Be sure to check out the freebies everyone. Lots of texture sets have hit the free stuff section right now.
Warning- do NOT install the latest DIM update if you don't have to.
It takes away your option to install or not- you MUST install. I went to DIM to work on my external drive downloading- there is no option to NOT install.
It takes away all the product updates!
EDIT: Only 6 updates came back after I shut down DIM and reopened, but the option to install or not DID come onto the page. But where did all my product updates go????

Well THAT'S just great. If the store messes up, you can't tell. Wouldn't even know it. I said in another thread, and I'll say again- they need to do the Fast Grab (and apparently the Freebies) the same way as the regular store pages. Have the option to check "Hide Items I Own."
I think the other hazard of 'hiding items you own' might be if an item goes on sale after you buy it. You would never know to ask for a price adjustment. You won't see the new price.
Excellent point. And you HAVE to do screenshots every time you buy to get the cart real prices. DAZ knew when they implemented that new cart that it would discourage people from doing returns, because the exact price of each item isn't shown. Wicked cackle.
For those of you who don't know how to do a screenshot- Prt Sc on your computer is print screen, it's usually in the upper right, top row of your keyboard (for a PC, don't know about MAC) then you take it into a graphics program (I use Corel Draw) and Ctrl+V and it will appear.
Also if you are doing your cart, you might want to do your screen view down to 75% as the cart print and spacing are so large.
I am rendering Janessa and Georgina Hair at the moment. Janessa is a V4M4 sale item so thought I would do her in case you hadn't picked her up/categories repeat. Can't remember which Category she was in. She is also for Genesis, and that's who I am using. Of course, wish she had thicker eyebrows, but her skin is coming in quite nicely.

I don't say this too often, but a hair I would avoid is Momotsuki Hair. Slow render time. See below.

Georgina Hair surprises me, with a 20 smoothing rate, there are still crinkles. I am doing it at a 40 and the top has come in, still crinkles. All settings on excellent (.20 shading rate, etc) It is at 12% in only 17 minutes but slowing down a bit. So compare:
Momotsuki Georgina
shading rate .40 .20
pixels (large side) 900 1200
12% render 45 minutes 17 minutes
but now Georgina at 13% is 20 minutes. So we'll see. Will be about an hour more I think.

I tweaked the lights and started over a couple times, but it definitely is going slower. It was 34% at an hour and a half, but it's a 1200 pixel render at .20 I think you'll really like this one after the light tweaks.
Frankly, Janessa reminds me of Nidale with the lighting- she looks so dark, but with various lights, she looks a lot lighter and tanned. The eyebrows need work desperately, they are just too painted. I'm not seeing individual hairs at all.
Will post her tomorrow. I like the lights so I'm glad I started over. It's UE2 and distant lights. Playing around with dark lighting too.

Shown on Genesis. First hair is the Georgina Hair, those with the dress are Classic Rolled Hair. I really like both of these, and they are by Goldtassel. For the portrait, I wanted to show several different "looks" based on the lighting- compare her forehead, the cheek closest to us, and her arm/hand which is extremely dark. So depending on what you want and how you light Janessa, you'll get quite the variety of skin color!
I was also testing to see if she had an abrupt cutoff/variance of color of the palm/fingers/arm and her tones are integrated smoothly. She looks good from many angles/ all poses.
For fun, I wanted to see her in black and white. :) Desaturation time! She's like one of the "dames" who would elegantly stroll into a 1950's detective office and purr, "I need help."
I didn't use these, but if you like the Sash Gown, remember there are textures. This dress was SO easy to use- no pokethrough and she has one knee bent and extended forward. This gown just flows- gorgeous!!

The same thought had occurred to me... After reports of people seeing a discounted price and then getting charged sometimes 3 figure amounts, I always do a screenshot now. It's a good habit for everyone to get into.
Janessa is looking rather lovely, and even more so in black and white.

I call BS on that one. You would be really surprised how few people bother with going back to get a price difference. I doubt if it is as high as 6% returns/price fix store wide. I know mine run well below that most months. Nor is there a sharp increase in returns/price fixes during big sale months. Most of the purchases people make are already at a discount and in many cases a very good discount. And it is not as if you can't hit a check box and see your purchased items as well. I am fairly confident that it was implemented because so many people regularly said that they would like to be able to exclude the products they already own when shopping. I know I saw it requested many times.
