Warning- do NOT install the latest DIM update if you don't have to.
It takes away your option to install or not- you MUST install. I went to DIM to work on my external drive downloading- there is no option to NOT install.

It takes away all the product updates!
EDIT: Only 6 updates came back after I shut down DIM and reopened, but the option to install or not DID come onto the page. But where did all my product updates go????

Novica, have you tried reinstalling DIM (perhaps manually by downloading the exe from your Product Library) as maybe you've got a duff update of DIM there. Because I've not seen any problems like you have - still getting updates and the install checkbox (I always install manually and only use DIM to DL) This is what I'm seeing right now...

That is curious, tho I have been doing the updates thus far (12nov2014 last collection installed). I'm rather fond of having items in the Smart tab, and quite a few updates have done that (like the string of updates for "Temple of the Pharaohs").

One half thought, is after a while, some updates go into the regular install files, so the updates don't need to be installed separately, for some things at least. Still, it is odd.

Thanks for the suggestion Melanie and Z- Restarted it again (new day) and there are now a lot of product updates. Problem solved. But it shouldn't take 3 starts to get them!

Here's the last one of Janessa, showing more of a closeup of the dress.
EDIT- the texture of her lips seems wonky to me though- not enough creases

EDIT: I (fast) doodled with the brows to make them thicker and with some individual hairs- and to make the beginning of the brow have a few hairs going the other direction. I put the red in, then a dark, then the original color in for the top layer. Since she had red hair, the brows didn't go well anyway.

I like Janessa Nice job on her. I confess some of the changes in the store are not to my taste. I also do echo Novica's concern about the shopping cart not showing the proper price of items when discounted. It makes it tough as a customer to see how much one paid in hindsight. I am all for things ringing up on the receipt appropriately so there is as much transparency as possible.

This is the official DAZ Facebook page where you can find additional codes and announcements. There's currently a $3 off through Nov 30th.
    https://www.facebook.com/DAZ3D.FanPage

http://www.daz3d.com/fast-grab-3d-models/ Fast Grab has got a lot of items :)

Looks like Category 9 is going on DAY THREE. It's 1:33am and the site changed over about 15 minutes ago. EDIT: Jack said the category should have changed, he's looking into it. He does such a good job!

Well THAT'S just great. If the store messes up, you can't tell. Wouldn't even know it. I said in another thread, and I'll say again- they need to do the Fast Grab (and apparently the Freebies) the same way as the regular store pages. Have the option to check "Hide Items I Own."

Hmmm- Fast Grab now shows Items I Own- YES!!!
EDIT- but new glitch has been reported- wishlist isn't taking things off when you remove them (they are there when you come back. Also if you buy something, it isn't behaving.)

I'll have to go look that one up :) Hope it goes on sale for you!

I'm headed to bed, waited a bit to see if the V4M4 sale would change, but if it does, will be after 8am DAZ time I guess. Hope everyone is staying warm, it's 35 degrees, Real Feel 24 degrees here in Florida. Snowing on the East Coast. Brrrr.

And I was still hoping Stefan would stop being shy and put in an appearance. The one character I said I wanted doesn't show up... not fair! Ah well, I did grab (in the nicest possible way) Ulrich and Hanzo. :)

    Stay snug Novica!

Stay snug Novica! agreed. 35.4F outside here. Spent the night cuddled up next to a computer running simulations, it's not as worm as I thought it would be, lol. Actually I was chasing audio wires behind all the desks, still tho, brrr.

P.S. even for stuff that needs the computer restarted, it should not take three cycles to get the lists/database in order. How much stuff is CMS keeping track of, vs it's almost nonexistent CPU load.

Looks like Daz3D is slowly (tedious and delicate) working out the bugs with there new website. The cart now shows more then "1", and subtotals are back.
I need to run to the store (coffee and half-and-half), chat later y'all.

Well, in 6 hours we'll know if the v4/m4 categories will go live again. The only ones I've found that come up in my browser when I start typing it in are:

    http://www.daz3d.com/pc-sale-v4-m4-category-4
    http://www.daz3d.com/pc-sale-v4-m4-category-7
    http://www.daz3d.com/pc-sale-v4-m4-category-10-3540

So you may want to peruse if you have time- who knows if they'll put these back up again- OR HOW LONG if they do. I'm not saying to waste a lot of time on it, but there they are just in case. I have all my Cat10 wishlisted because they were in my cart when the stupid Cat 9 came up hours too early.

Anyone spot any of the other pages still up?

Well, it's 8:30 PM Central time, the site will change over around 1am, so that's 4 1/2 hours from now to see if the 99 cent sale and other categories come back. I can't think of a big sale where they didn't repeat things on the last day, so here's hoping. And Jack said it wasn't over till the fat lady sings. (someone take away her sheet music, give her a sleeping pill, or better yet, both.)

Need some help from my tech friends. I have more than one thing in DIM Installation, and I don't know why or if they should both be there. I am having to mess around with the DIM and a new version of Studio so I can try GoZ (version has to match latest version of studio.) If anyone can check this out and respond on that thread, would appreciate the help. I did some uninstalls and wrote down paths so I know what went where, but I dont recall two things being listed for the Studio itself. Arrrgh.

Got it figured out. MY is the latest version of studio FAST. So it's also set up with GoZ showing, so I'm going to take Genesis over and play around. This is exciting. Hope it works.

I've just started playing with some of the new PC+ items released this week and thought I'd show a couple of renders of the Medieval Fantasy Accessories for G2F by DAZ/Ravenhair. For PC price you get a pretty impressive bundle of (mostly conforming) jewellery, belts and footwear. I've only shown here one each of the necklaces, tiaras, earrings and belts. I was particularly impressed with the number of adjustment and movement morphs in most of the pieces (I even managed to get the head veil to fit over this hair at my first attempt).

The character is Ginger by DAZ3D/Countess/Silver, the hair is Lady Florence Hair by DAZ3D/Neftis3D and the dress is from the Sighni Outfit for G2F by DAZ3D/Mada/Sarsa with one of the alternative texture sets from Rikur by DAZ3D/Moyra - I'd like to give the Rikur textures a big thumbs-up too, I think they are beautifully done.

The first two images are with the original textures for the Medieval Fantasy Accessories, but I also tried the jewellery with some Gemologica shaders by Fisty/Marieah - the necklace in particular came out rather well with gemstone shaders, I think.

Oh and I should mention that the backdrop is FirstBastion's Medieval Promenade with it's included lighting and an added Advanced Spotlight to bring out the gleam in the jewels, metals and fabric.

That is quite lovely- totally agree about the Rikur textures- they look good even close up. I like the chains in the chest area, they appear very natural and not clunky. Just the right size. Nice job on the head veil if you got it the first try, lol! I'd be messing with it for at least fifteen minutes or more (likely more.) Thanks for showing us all those products, you certainly integrated a lot of them, and quite nicely.

BTW, for those of you not able to access the members forum, they are changing the name of some of the cloaks. I'm sure they'll make an announcement out in Commons, but there was some confusion on similarly named products. Melanie mentioning Medieval brought it to mind, Medieval Cloaks is one of the name changes. Don't worry about it as everything (readmes, meta data, etc) are all being changed.

EDIT- Hooded Cloak Pack will be changed to the Medieval Cloaks

I just looked at the weather and tomorrow we are going to drop ELEVEN degrees in an hour between 11am and noon... Wow. It's going to be 70 today (was 30's last night) then tomorrow night 24 real temperature. This is crazy. For you lower U.S. folks, if it's warm when you leave for work tomorrow morning- TAKE A COAT ANYWAY!

And yes, the M4V4 was advertised in the email, and hiding somewhere so far. But Jack asked in the wee hours this morning, and Fixmypcmike has also pointed out the email had it advertised, so we have two great folks rooting for us to get that sale activated. Here's hoping. (It's been almost 8 hours...)

Want to point out a product that looks quite different with a texture set- it can look quite modern. In the V4 sale. For $3.59 and $2.19, you can get a nice outfit.

Look at this first (looks 60's/70's, dated)
    http://www.daz3d.com/cosmopolitan-girl-suit-for-v4

Then: The first set, the blacks, look quite nice. I'm not sure about the front groin seam on the others, but for the price, it's worth a look.
    http://www.daz3d.com/stylish

Next, Venom Hair and the textures are both in the sale:
    http://www.daz3d.com/taint-for-venom-hair
    http://www.daz3d.com/venom-hair

And yes, now both are on sale- I can get my teddy bear and the textures, lol

    Other things I like-

    Family friendly top- http://www.daz3d.com/casual-outfit-for-v4-a4-g4

    It's $4.99- BUT FOR GENESIS TOO- http://www.daz3d.com/urban-cargo-pants-and-top

(Argh, we're dodging tornadoes here. Not terribly close (about half an hour away) but not going to bed until this blows through. Storming.
You folks in Georgia/Carolinas / east coast of Florida, it's coming at ya!

this is part of a v4 dynamic bundle which is $99 but should drop to $20 in the sale. Might be worth considering for those who want more than one dynamic item from this sale: http://www.daz3d.com/v4-dynamic-clothing-bundle

    @MelanieL absolutely lovely render.

Glad you pointed that out. I already have that stuff, this is the only piece I am missing I think.

Well, storms are through, temperature has dropped so that Mobile (Alabama) to our west is 44, we're at 55 just one hour to the east, and three hours further to the east (where it hasn't hit yet) Tallahassee is 73. Good heavens, a 30 degree drop. Going to be 29 here tonight, real feel 13. And 30mph winds right now. Good day to shop, eh? :)

I've got my Cat 10 fix, but I put back quite a few things as the impulse buying was gone.

I went wild and jumped my cart total from in the $30s to $183. Now I'm going back and culling out many impulse items. Down to the $60s now, but got more decisions to make.

I agree with anikad, beautiful work on the Medieval dress and accessories, Melanie.

Glad you've had a chance to revisit category 10, Novica. I'm happy to say that I've now welcomed Stefan and Stolz to my character family.

Corvas is a new one to me but I can see why Kai caught your eye. Faber Inc. is another one with some good male characters and I've been tempted, but I'm just about out of funds now.
