I'd say there's some resemblance. I only see it now that you've pointed it out. Could be coincidence.
Especially when yesterday you could get any 10 of those "select" items for 90% off with any Debut new release (including cheap PC+).
It's worse than that, as two of the items are components for the same outfit, which is getting really miserly. :/ The promotional off of 60% off on 5 items is really weak too, so I'm holding off on her 'til tomorrow to see if there's anything else that sweetens the pot.
Looks like Daz is excited for Cyberpunk 2077, eh? Smart move to have this theme around the game's launch, though I bet the extra delay of the game might have been a bummer for Daz, too. But you get to make some cyberpunk renders in anticipation of the game.
The promo pics are pretty good, better than most DOs by a wide margin. However I'd rate her skin as just ok. It is curious how much her skin looks so different in some of the promos, too. I'd like to see her in normal daylight to provide some kind of baseline. I also don't get why her HD add on lips have such canyon sized cracks in them, is there a world wide shortage of lip balm in our cyber future? I know I am being a bit harsh, but I have a right to be. I already have a large library and I'm not just going to buy everything because its kind of pretty. At least with this one we have a focused cyberpunk theme for people who like that. It seems to me that the bundle and the deal is more important than the character itself these days.
Speaking of the deals, what is with this one? There was a better deal literally yesterday, LOL.
need to sdo some additional work on this, but overall I think Millawa is one of the nicer characters released in quite some time

She actually looks really nice, I too like the cyber theme. Some of the promos are almost photorealistic, but of course, the eyes always fail.

Got another one. Trying to find this hair. Is it Louise Hair by April? but that hair doesn't appear to go that short. The hair appears to be Outoftouch style in softness, but I can't find anything in his store matching this. Would save my sanity if they'd post what items they used in their promo's.

Love that HD-AddOn. Still wish HD-Addons were part of their respective bundles, or turned into $11.99 PC+ items. At their $39.95 base price, they generally end up on my wishlist until some amazing really HD-AddOn discount comes along. This one will now be on the top of my priority list though.
Loving the cybernetic elements of this, but was wondering, if there could be an option to split it from the skin materials to make it work with other characters? Seems to be a lot of fiddling around right now.
If HD add ons were included in starter and Pro bundles, I'd be more inclined to buy them. But 99% of the time I will just get the base figure then wait for a good sale to get the HD add on.
I'm not paying $41 for it. I was thinking about paying $35 for it. But if it costs $35 when the store is broken and costs more than $35 when the store is working, I think that's an outrage.
This was Millawa's big break! She was so excited to be chosen as a Daz Core Figure. Her asymmetrical face (rumored to be a first for Core Figures) would be all over the Daz website, and everyone would know her name!
Or so she thought. Fate is a cruel mistress. Her bundle was not favourably priced. And Millawa's debut dovetailed with Daz's debacle, leaving her dedicated thread near dead before it even reached four pages. The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. And Millawa would add, "acclaim to the shiny-skinned."
Sad, the poor pricing and promotion hurt not only a good character release, but also sci-fi main release.
I can already picture it, when DAZ release in one of the next multiple chained Fantasy themed bundles its next fairy (of course with an amazing promotion) and sci-fi crowd complain "too much fantasy, why so less love to us?" white knights will step in and say "Sci-fi did not sell as many as fantasy".
I did end up getting the overpriced main character, but not the overpriced bundle as I originally intended. That will not save her. She's going to have to go back to her job as an asymmetrical waitress forever.
I bought her and both bundles that were released. But because of the sales, and the mess of the store made of DIM and my files in DS, I had fallen behind on rendering. But seeing your comments, I pulled Millawa 8 up on my que to work with.
Millawa 8 - I love her sculpt and skin texture. I have no use for the extreme makeups. The eyes are different from the normal four we get with the other core figures. Her face is easy to use with expressions. I used the 101 Expression Library on her and Advanced Sitting Poses #14. She is dressed in the Augmentation Outfit and the Watch from Modern Military Outfit. I used the dForce Neroli Hair without any issues.
The scene is Compact Cyberpunk Apartment and I think I am in love. When I posed Millawa, and adjusted the scene, I was able to move everything in one click, keeping her at zero, and out of any furniture. But her bottom went down into the stool's seat. And then I saw a slider to 'LOWER' it! Oh yeah. Yeah! It fit perfectly then. As my DS decided it didn't want to let me to look around easily, I was able to close the eyes on the walls and check for any issues before simulation, and later rendering. Everything worked fine. Silent Winter did an excellent job on this little gem.

Day-um! She looks Grrrrr-eat8! How'd you get rid of the chemo balding spot on Neroli Hair? I didn't buy it because of that. And double thanks for ID-ing everything you used!
Has anyone tried Zhao yet? All I can find are low-key rumblings about Carboncrow's characters being difficult somehow. She's currently on my wishlist and I would love to read/see some reviews!
(Yes, I know she's technically not a Millawa add-on character but she was part of the bundles so indulge me!)
For those still interested. Because of today's massive extra 50% discount (on top of 20%cart) on almost every Daz Original(it does not excludes new releases) with the purchase of two Debut releases, both millawa's bundles can be purchased for less than any day of its debut/still new week. Those who paid more for them last week, please don't kill the messanger.
This promo is massive, it also stacks with already heavy discounted pc+ items, bad day to be broke :(

I honestly didn't do anything extra to the hair except choose the hair color to compliment the outfit's colors and let the simulation run. One of the Hair Red options and Black tip.
Hylas, I will load up Zhao and see what happens. I liked how she looks and am interested in how she will appear close up.
