    Looks like the list of items for the freebies has been updated. When I first looked it was all Gen 1 and 2 junk. Clothes you can't pose or have poke through issues. I can get these two bundles for about $58 with the purple banners. It was $65 earlier. I can use a few items but take away the poses, expressions, and other items I don't need, it's a very expensive set. I need STUFF, not characters that are similar to what's already there or more poses. It might be worth it if the $100 incentive covers my wishlist well but there really is nothing new here. I think if they used Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs as inspiration they might have hit a home run. A set of gnomes, mine, rustic cabin, forest setting, Christmas stuff to make it more versatile, and a princess, I can see people grabbing that up. Throw in the Santa Workshop if you're going to recycle existing products with bundles. Just don't go near that line the Disney lawyers will be watching. Otherwise, there really isn't much here that is truly new and not already in the store in some variation.

    Really? Because with my $100 worth of free content, I was able to get Stonemason's very recent steampunk set, as well as a bunch of other recent items like Celani 8. 

    The bundled items make no sense in a lot of ways, but I love the base character so I'm picking them up just for the ability to clear out a huge chunk of my wishlist.

    This. But both links are called Select Daz Original(s), which could lead people to think the $100 of DOs applies only to the selection of older items from the freebie list. Not good design.

    The two lists could be why the code isn't working for everything even though I'm well below the $100 of items I carted so far. Such a waste of my time.

    I bit on the deal - not that I was looking for little people, but you never know when having some in your gene pool will come in handy (I'm thinking of @Strangefate's upcoming Fantasy Home release). The $100 went towards all useful stuff, like new-ish Capsces poses, some G8 characters like Akhenaten, Mama T, Mark, Alexandria, etc.

    I haven't seen much mentioned about it, but the Underground Bunker was a big draw for me. It was great to see that included in the mining bundle.

    The little guy in the miners suit reminded me of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

    There were all kinds of interesting bits and pieces to me, as well as reasons why this was a good deal to me:

    • The main figure, though not something I'd probably use as-is, I think it may be a great figure to dial in for some percent, or to simply use only the head on top of some other body
    • The hairs, inconveniently divided between the two packs. I especially like the Zoren hair
    • Underground bunker, which definitely looks useful to me
    • Free add-ons, and it just so happened that I had the Convergence outfit and its texture add-on on my wishlist for ages.
    • $100 DOs, this definitely helped clear a bit from my wishlist. Note that this applies to a lot of DOs (not all, mind you, but still, a lot of them, as https://www.daz3d.com/numerous-daz-originals#index=0&order=popular^1&filtered=1 covers just over half of all available DOs.): "Get 60% OFF* when you buy any New Release". The packs count as New Release, so that's $100 worth of DOs at 60% off for each.
    • I had store credit, which I got at 20% discount, so combining that into the whole equation, meant I got everything dirt cheap.

    Does the beard come with Dinky the .. it shows in every promo pcture but i see nothing in description or files that it is part of the package.

    I wasn't going to get this when I saw it pop up last night before going to bed, but upon looking at what was available in the 100 dollars free and how there were a number of things I really wanted, it was worth paying a little less than half price for those items and have this new character just in case, as well as the underground environment. I'm not a total fan of these new themed bundles, but the all around deal made it worthwhile.

    I'm pleasantly surprised by the recent DO content to choose from. I was definitely going to pass on the deal until I saw how much of my wishlist was available to choose from (and reasonably priced!).

    I notice it on a lot of characters, but it's REALLY noticeable on this one for whatever reason, but is there a reason that, in 2020 we still can't get good character textures? Why is so much stuff also baked in still? @__@

    No, no beard is included.  The eyebrows are included.  You are correct that it is strange.  Not only is the beard in all of the promo pics, the beard is in the character icon in the installed content folder.  I could have missed it, but I've checked the character folder, the hair folder, and the DIM installed files list.

    On the other hand, there is no reference to facial hair on the product page file list.  https://www.daz3d.com/dinky-for-genesis-8-male

    The beard looks really familiar. Actually, it looks rather like some of the morph possibilities in Mec4D's Unshaven set. Possibly even the older G2 set.

    I think he's an interesting character and I like the Christmas-themed set. Even though much of the other set wasn't ideal for me, with the $100 deal, it seemed like a good deal. I loaded up my cart, served dinner, and came back to find that the items in the $100 had gotten more expensive. While I was trying to redesign the purchase, they got more expensive again. I gave up and cleared my cart.

    I would've bought him, he's different (plus, there's $100-worth of free content). But I just can't risk losing anymore money.

    I bought Ollie & the 1st George but didn't ask for either. I use Ollie quite often but poor old George not so much. I'll buy Drutherson, like almost everything I buy at DAZ, eventually. Mainly because he's great to add an exageration to your other character's looks like Ollie does. And I do want that mine shaft too. Mining clothing I'm not so sure of, I'm more inclined to make my own now that I have MD 10.

    I glanced through this thread and it said the new gnome figure had a beard? But looking at Dinky, I don't see a beard listed. Every promo image of him has him sporting a beard that fools you into thinking he comes with one, but reading the fine print it's only fibermesh eyebrows, no beard. so where is the beard[s] used in the promo's come from? 

     

    Also, the banner states buy both bundles and get $100 off DO's, and then 30% extra off them. do they mean extra 30% off the 2 bundles? Or additional 30% off any DO's we put in the cart over the $100?
