Hello. Bought this product today.
Can't get it the script to load.. I get a message saying "Error while reading file"
Is there a setting i should be on ie, Iray. 3DL.?

Sounds like there might be an installation error. How did you install the product? What does the Daz Log say?
Installed it through daz central. I might just uninstall it, and re-install it at this point.
Another thing i noticed as well...the PDF is in utilliy, and the script is in documents?
Did you mean to do that?

*I* need to see the log to figure out what the script is and isn't doing. The line you mentioned is because you had the Iray Preview or render on. I would uninstall, make sure the files are truly gone, and then reinstall using DIM.

Yup, it is not installed properly. I have no idea what rssy 3dl and iray to filament.dse.enc even is. It should be rssy 3dl and iray to filament.dse.
It is best if you uninstalled it, deleted all files in f:/Documents/New folder/DAZ 202 F drive/Applications/Data/DAZ 3D/My DAZ 3D Library/data/cloud/1_80055, and then installed via DIM. BTW, What version of DS are you?

Strange installation
I assume you are double clicking the icon in Smart Content? That path is not a valid absolute path and is not a valid relative path. Of course, it cannot be found. Try starting it from Content Library.
Is there a way to make the RSSY Shadowcaster produce a fuzzy shadow?
No, that is not something the script controls. That is all up to Filament.
I just installed it, used it once or twice, and now when I try to launch it, I am getting this error in my log file:

Any clue what could be going on here. What little I saw told me I totally want this to work.
OK, I had to use the Daz utility to uninstall then reinstall and it went back to normal. I think that when I originally downloaded it and it used DIM to install, that caused some problems.
V3Digitimes and I were just discussing this. It appears like Daz Connect is breaking our scripting products (or at least it is happening more often); there has been a ticket submitted about it. My recommendation is to uninstall the Daz Connect version, make sure you delete the files on disk, and install using DIM.
I bought this and it is crashing my computer! I mean completey freezing it to where I cannnot even CTRL+ALT+DEL! I have to turn the computer off. Second attempt at using it, I had a Gen 3 character loaded and it gave an error saying it couldnt find gen 3 haircap. Why would it look for something it dosent even feature? Fourth try I didnt even load a character, just a enviroment and my PC locked and froze. I have both of the other RSSY scripts and love using them. I am running Studio 4.15. Any suggestions?
No idea. There is no way the script is crashing your computer directly. It might be exposing a problem on your computer (something misconfigured). Please post the Daz log of the script execution. It might show something to suggest what the problem is.

Does this converter work with FilaToon renders?
From the look of it, it would be useful to start. Maybe a version that applies Filatoon shaders based on 3dl/iray material types might be made.
I honestly don't know as I have not looked into FilaToon at all. I have asked Sickleyield to chime in.
Yeah, I imagine a lot of the lighting and environment adjustments from this version would help, but there are enough differences that a Filatoon specific product would be ideal.

Doesn't it have the ability to use a different shader? Like, I use the https://www.daz3d.com/glass-for-filament instead fo the base filament shader by clicking on the surface in the list of shaders and switching it over. Perhaps some scripts for filatoon shaders?
Yes, the script can use a different shader. You can certainly TRY having the script swap in one of your filatoon shaders. I have no idea what the result would be. Sickleyield is the shader writer for our product (and general all around Daz Studio expert; I just write the scripts) and understands better what would happen. Based on what she said, you may get good results (unknown) but not optimal results.
