    @David daaaaaayum. And you did say there was jsut one tree in there, yea? Im curious of the render time you cranked that out at. Very cool, capillary/nervous system'esque :)

    @electro: Figure looks really nice. Background terrain also looks real nice.

    @Horo: That's one fine looking forest. My only question would be how does one use a terrain for tree roots?

    @David: That's a neat trick in creating the kaleidoscope. Your results are very pretty, especially the last bunch. Putting the tree in really creates a wild looking image.

    @goofygrmom: Cute image.

    @DaemonKnight: Welcome to the forum. That is a cool looking image.

    About 20 minutes at 64 rpp premium effect DOF which was fixed for 360 panoramic rendering on the request of the Steering Committee.

    Lighting is provided by one of Horo's and mines custom made HDRI from the set shown in the previous couple of videos I made.

    @electro-elvis - thank you.

    @goofygrmom3 - thank you. And thank you for the nice card shown.

    @David - thank you, great kaleidoscope renders. Not quite clear what you mean with "Light distribution" and the coloured render shown.

    @DaemonKnight - welcome to this forum. Looked like synapses to me before I read it below. Which means that you got it right. Excellent!

    @Jamie - thank you.

    @Trish - thank you for the nice card shown.

    @mermaid010 - thank you. Great render with the sail ship. The bunny and torus knot renders look also very good.

    @Tim - thank you for the nice card shown.

    Very pretty room settings Bullet and Tim. All ready for Christmas morning. Inviting.

    Love the rabbit Mermaid. And the ship scene.

    I really enjoy seeing your K-scopes David. I wish I could follow video tutorials. Unfortunately I have to have directions written out in front of me. I've printed many tutorials over the last 7 years... I think I have one from someone else. I'll have to look for it.

    I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. I'll try to pop in, but I may not get back here till the 26th.

    Have a good one everyone... Keep the renders coming, they are all looking great.

    I don't usually do abstracts... This is why. :lol:

    The coloured render shown is a "map" of the specular lights (highlights) produced by the HDRI at maximum quality. So hopefully... in theory... it shows the distribution of lights in the HDRI as produced by the sampling of the image by Bryce. That's the theory anyway. Though because of the lack of sharpness of the specular highlights, the light pattern gets lost after about 256 and they merge into a homogenious mass. In this case quite a colourful one.

    @David - thank you. I'm currently counting the point lights generated and their distribution. It works for me up to quality 128 but beyond I cannot count them reliably.

    This young lad seems to have had a sex change on the Bridge between DAZ and Bryce. I fixed the eyes but I can't do anything about the eyelashes so he looks like he is wearing mascara :)

    @Trish: That's a real nice image.

    @David: Nice new video.

    @mermaid: Ship image is very nice, nice results following the tutorial. Also nice results on the other two images. Rabbit is especially nice with that material.

    @Tim Bateman: Room with Christmas Tree is awfully nice. And so is the motorbike.

    @Dave: That is a nice abstract. Actually looks like the junk box of an electronic dabbler. ;-)

    @Sandy: Nice image and figure. Perhaps if you work on the eyes in DAZ Studio before importing into Bryce the dark around the eyes would be gone?

    To each and everyone, here's hoping you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

    Fishtales...perhaps you might have to set the eyelashes to Blend Transparency.

    GussNemo

    The eyes are fine in DAZ you can see every individual hair.

    Jamahoney

    Yep, tried that and a lot of other things including using the eyelash opacity .jpg from DAZ, which is black and white, to try and get rid of the solid black.

    Nice villa :-)

    @Fishtales: The eyes are always a problem when you import a figure from DAZ. As Chohole has mentionned, the eyelashes need some transparancy. The skin looks just very well.

    I am sorry, not to write more about everyones wonderful pictures, but I have to hurry for shopping for the coming Christmas Eve

    My young man got his axe back! Now he can chop a christmas tree. (Handy that they are just around) Happy holidays to everyone!

    @Tim - nice bike.

    @Sandy - lad doesn't look bad except the eyes. In fact, if I could render characters like that I'd be proud.

    @Jay - I don't see any difference if you spend the Christmas getting soaked in the rain at home or in a beautiful pool. You get wet in both cases. Great renders, just the sky is not overly convincing.

    @electro-elvis - nice ax to cut a Christmas tree. Next, give him also a snow cannon. :coolsmile:

    @Jamie - sorry, forgot to answer your question about the root-terrain on the previous page. Just draw it in the canvas and cut out the lower part. See picture.

    Cheers all...looks like I'm villa-bound.

    Though, looking at the works a day later, I see thnigs to be adjusted..e.g. the scale of the steps is wrong, the swimming girl could be just that little bit bigger...etc. Scale, is a major area of error in works, I think.

    Hi everyone. I'd like to wish a merry Christmas to all of you.

    Here's one of my latest render with bryce. Sorry for the low resolution but right now I've got trouble with one of my raptor hard drive and I've lost the wide resolution picture.

    Hope you like it. All plants from xfrog bundles.

    Cheers from France.

    Great work as always Marco. Sorry to hear about the HD troubles. I've been running raptors for years now and never had a problem even with ancient ones (touch wood) so you must have had some bad luck.

    Very good render Tim!

    I'm still in the grip of kaleidoscopic experiments.

    The first is just a test of a dozen or so reflectors I made in Wings - which is quite handy for this kind of thing.

    Then I got to wondering what happened if I put a kaleidoscope inside another one.

    And again...

    And then with a modified lens...

    And then with a radically modified lens.
