    aww {{hugz}}

...I actually admire that considering how many people I see can no longer seem to function in RL without effectively having their smartphone."glued" to their ear.

In my case, glued to my belt. :)

You must be very limber to be able to bend down far enough to hear and speak into it... ;-P

My phone plugs into a socket in the wall, if I glued it to my ear I wouldn't be able to move around very far.
Is that like "tethering" with a smartphone?

My phone isn't really smart, but it does work to make and receive phone calls. Not sure how you tether a smart phone. That could be a leading question

I have an AT&T smartphone I bought at Walgreens, I use it to.. make phone calls. :blank: :blank: Oh, and sometimes check the time if it's too dark to read my watch. :blank:

I used to have a nice flip phone, it died and there wasn't anything "stupid" for me to buy.. so I was pretty much forced to. :long:

On coffee: I had forgotten how Zen-like making a cup of coffee can be. :) Got up, put the filter and coffe in the cone, boiled water, poured it in slowly and watched it come out, hot and tasty! :cheese: No more running out to get some, no more crappy morning cup, no leftovers.. just a cup of double happiness! :cheese:

Today is the October Birthdays Party at the bar - a party for everyone born in October! Everyone brings food, since I can't cook I'm going to send out for pizzas! :P

No idea about breakfast, the party doesn't start until 3PM, so I'd better eat something since it's only 9AM here. :blank: McD's or IHOP... :blank:

Product update from RDNA.. time to get to work.. :)

I hope everyone has a great day! :cheese:

Ok, coffee and brekkie burrito down, party supplies bought, just need to wash up and I'll be ready to go! :cheese:

This darn coffee is addictive.. soooo goooood.. might make cup #3 soon! :)

Working on a render of a formal-dress gown.. autofit has done some damage, though, fitting a V4 output to Josie6.. probably should have used V6.. oh well.. :blank:

Actually, no - the distorted part is behind the "Junk Shop" sign!

I have V6 in the same output w/ a different material, looks good. I'm eventually going to go back and replace the material on the gown with a fabric shader of some kind, that'll remove the UV distortion the auto-fit created.. or should.. :blank:

...yeah I have a basic flip phone I got at the local dept store chain that is nothing more than a phone, doesn't even have a camera. I also use one of those prepaid minutes cards. Since I don't spend all my waking hours on the phone like most people I see, 250 minutes (25$) lasts just over two months. If I have to call a government 800 number, I just look for the nearest public telephone box as I know I'll be put on hold for a very long time

Supposedly I should be able to text on it but I'll be dipped if I could type even a single word let alone a hole meaningful sentence on a12 key pad. They say there's a trick to how quickly you repeat the keystroke but with my stiff arthritic hands its a "no go". Hence I never answer texts as when I press "call back", it puts me in text rather than talk mode. For entering names my phoneboook I have to resort to abbreviations and even personal codes (the latter when a name uses two consecutive letters that are on the same key).

A smartphone would be a both an expensive and useless investment as even on those I cannot text without hitting to or three of the "virtual" keys at the same time and in so doing, invent a new language that is so incomprehensible, it would keep the NSA code breakers busy for months.

    ------

On the subject of coffee, fresh brewed is always the best. A few of the independent coffee shops I go to have pour over bars as well and even for a casual coffee drinker like I have become, it is so much better.

...nice. There is a tool in the store to help smooth out long skirts during autofit.

    http://www.daz3d.com/sickle-dress-rig-genesis-2-female

It can also be done with a geometry shell created from a long skirt made for G2F. I usually use the G2F MFD for that.

@Dana - yeah, I had everything loaded and ready and wanted to get at least a test shot out of it.. and I've seen that trick used elsewhere (heh heh). Learn from the pros! :smirk:

Mega-render going on right now, so likely won't be able to fix it until tomorrow night since I'm going out, and doing 3D work when buzzed produces, erm, "entertaining" results. :smirk:

35 minutes rendering but I like what I see, so I call it worth the wait. :cheese: Will post it as soon as it's done!

I'll look into that, thanks! The overskirt is from the Glacier Queen set from RDNA, I didn't expect it to fit without a fight. :blank:

I need to learn how to re-texture and use custom shaders, regardless. :)

I wish I had a flip phone again.. while this works OK for calling, it's kind of awkward to hold, the screen gets sweaty and the touch doesn't work until cleaned, fonts on the screen are hard to read, etc. etc. :blank:

Pour-over coffee bar.. le sigh.. "good coffee" here in Tulsa seems to mean the gas-n-gulps Premium Blend.. it's OK but it's nowhere near the flavor of that Veltons!

Yeah, but what the hell is that dangling from the front? I've never seen that on real football uniforms! I'm not a fan of football (round or pointy ball), but I have seen them. Why do the vendors think they have to make everything into some sort of fantasy outfit? I suppose you can probably make that invisible, though. It's better than the ones they had for V4.

Is that some sort of energy field around the temple, or does she just have a lot of static build-up in the dress?

Ok, here's a second go at the stempunk streets render. The skirts UVs still mess up the shader, so the difference in the way it's mapped is obvious, BUT - thanks to the shader - doesn't appear as too glaringly abnormal. :smirk:

I think I'll have to load Vicky and replace poor Josie, and then reload and re-autofit the over-skirt. :blank:

...looks like it is supposed to be a towel or something. Yes, I imagine you can leave that off or at the very least turn down the opacity channel on it. Still more authentic looking than Touchdown Star which had the shoulder pads outside the jersey.
