Hi I took the liberty of enlarging Freelight's two entries to make them easier to see. Hope this is okay. This is Freelight's Entry #29.
and this is Freelight's entry #30
Okay dokey, what a great set of Entries!!! Just beautiful! It's time to vote so the entry thread is sealed off now.
If you would be kind enough, could you please vote for your favourite four entries (that have worked within the theme) via the Entry number, artist's name and, if possible, a kindly comment.
Example (times four)
Entry #: 99
Artist: Da Vinci
Comment Example: I really lie how Da Vinci has achieved a glow in Cardinal Whoopies Richelie's upper lip.

Lots of great compositions. I stuck to the theme of who did the best with light, still really tough to pick a top 4.

(Special mention - not a vote)
Entry #: 7 (Before the Swell) Artist: Stezza

Needed more than four votes !!!

Entry #: 1
Artist: Bunyip02
Comment: Fantastic ironic use of the theme
Entry #: 13
Artist: Diomede (Ted Murphy)
Comment: I like the subtlety of the phantom and the pose and expression of the girl
Entry #: 14
Artist: mschack
Comment: Just very well made and rendered
Entry #: 17
Artist: PNG
Comment: Great to have a (mostly) abstract interpretation and very nice rays of light.
At first I was judging literally by the title of the competition; expecting the actions in the scene to encourage light to enter the scene but then I realized that this is about lighting a scene, not the actions in the scene. That changed my choices.

Some really good entries, and great to see newer/infrequent participants step up to the plate.
For me, the Challenge voting was a bit unusual. About 10 renders impacted me at nearly the same level, so I erred in favor of newer participants, or those I hadn't voted for in a while.
Still, gotta shout out to Stezza and Selina for their fine modeling. Excellent technical skills in general were certainly on display this month, and it was nice to see folks explore the (infinite) depths of Carrara. As usual, HW ran a great Challenge. :)
