    the dog is hivewire dog. The morph is the chihuahua from philosopher's egg. The newborn puppy morph there has a overlay that makes the muzzle and ears pink.

    In the end I couldn't resist after seeing everyone's renders...

    I like how he comes out - which is a relief because in the preview window he looked like some disturbing version of Benedict Cumberbatch.  Distinctly offputting. Like the suit though... had to go for the black though, because I kept getting the weird urge to play Saint's Row with that purple.

    Call me crazy but I got both bundles. The deal is still not really great but at least some things made it better:
    - Buying both bundles together lowered the price of both bundles.
    - As the HD is an addon for both bundles, the HD plus two texture packs triggered the 20% on bundle 1 and the 25% on bundle 2 and the extras with the HD getting both as it seems.
    - The 15% on Gift Cards for each bundle stacked somehow giving 28% in total. So I've added one.
    - Adding the February PC+ coupon I still had.
    - The OKish dollar exchange rate.
    - An awful lot of self-persuasion.
    But boy I will sit on that store credit until good deals come along. Or some new stuff from Zev0, or else.

    Does the character come with the hair that he is previewed with? If not does anyone know what hair was used?

    Not sure if this is the one you are referring to, this is one of the hairs from their promos, it was in the Juan Carlos bundle.

    Hearing that the doubling up on the bundles, 3 add-ons brought the price down and the great renders everyone has posted, convinced me to purchase him. Still have to play, but enjoy the renders a lot.

    Torment works quite nice when blending him with other morphs, this is a mix of morphs (see below), the skin is Torment and eyes are Natural Eyes II for genesis 8.1

    Torment - Body: 55%, head: 40%

    CB Habben - Body: 25%, head: 30%

    Callan HD - Body: 20%, head: 30%

    Ryker HD for Vladimir 8 - Body: 20%, head: 10%

    Totally agree. And for some reason I had a flash back to Warren Worthington the third, AKA Angel. (The original 1960s version.)

    One more portrait, then I'm done (I do a lot of portraits when I'm working on a custom character). If we ever get another character that looks like Torment (or any of the Genesis 8 line) I'll be really surprised. I think that ship has sailed.

    Oh wow, @AllenArt, those are gorgeous! You have such a great sense for what makes a compelling character and how to build well on existing ones, I'm totally jealous! That first one in particular makes me wish you were showing off a future commercial product.

    I have to agree, Torment feels like they could very well be the last decent male-based character in the core lineup. I don't mind stylized characters, IIRC you and I have discussed my love affair with the Genesis 2 line and Gianni 6 in particular, but I do mind a lack of effort. Maybe Torment has been in the pipeline since before the new art direction kicked in; either way, Jazz and the new Mike before him are not encouraging.

    If they are the last good one, well, at least we went out on a high note.

    I definitely think Torment was already in the works when the new art director took over. So far since I haven't seen anything encouraging either. And, for the record, I don't mind stylized characters either. I liked a lot of the Genesis 2 line, including Vicky 6 and especially Mike 6 and Ninive. But these few new figures seem more like caricatures than even stylized figures, and not even good ones at that. I'm just not hopeful anymore that with the NFTs and these less-than-inspiring characters lately that Daz is a store I can rely on to supply the kind of stuff I like anymore. I haven't liked much of anything for months now as it is and even if I WAS buying right now, there just wouldn't be much I would even want. But I do agree with you...we went out on a high note. LOL

    I think it's far too early to say. I remember a period when seemingly every new DAZ core character left me completely cold - Raven, Yuzuru, Leisa, Jenni, Robyn, Darcy, Rynne, Tristan. I love Darcy and Jenni doesn't look too bad, but the others are not to my taste at all. This is subjective and I'm sure others will disagree. In any case, it was a dry period for me personally in that regard, but some of my favourite core characters were released afterwards - Dain, Kayo, Kwan, Freja. Ebb and flow.
