The CPU is the central processor, an Intel chip of some kind on older Macs or possibly one of the new M1 chips on a new Mac.

The GPU is the graphics card - unless your machine is very old or customised probably an AMD device  Help>Troubleshooting>About your Video card should have the details.

    2.5 GHz Duel-Core Intel Core i5

Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

What are your settings for performance, pixelbuffer etc?

Unsure. Where should I go to find out?

Assuming you can get there, Daz Studio>Preferences, in the Interface tab.

Try lower optomization from Best to Better, as your GPU driver chokes on something

No Change, plus the setting returns to Best after I reopen it.

Did you apply, then quit DS before testing? DS saved setting when it quits.

Just curious: I'm having a problem where I can't even open DS. Is there a way to see what my settings are if I can't open DS to see the Preferences settings? I'm trying to do my own detective work while I wait to hear back from DAZ Tech Support.

The file / settings are stored on disk. on macOS it's on  ~/Library/Application Support/DAZ 3D/Studio/ (there are a few settings files to look at) On Windows somewhere similiar

You asked before if I'd quit and restarted before testing and I replied in the negative.

And you didn't see that question as a pointer that you should probably do that?
