I keep trying to get into this, but every time my render is complete, I accidentally create a new animation, perform all of the simulations and render again - which in total takes a whole day for two animations. Well, when I'm working with Rosie at least. Once I get to other characters it's a Lot faster
Something like this ?
Exactly like that! I really like that shot - and even more now! Awesome!
+1
See how much better the mech stands out now? It helps to show that cool shader work you did to the mech itself, and the great shaders on the motel still hold perfectly through the DOF, so it's a win Win.
Another thing that I particularly like about this one compared to some others is the lighting - more specifically, the prominent shadow. Shadow visibility is part of the art, so it helps if we see the shadow as part of the composition. The direction of the shadow in this one helps to balance the weight of the image, but also shows contact to the ground. Some of the other renders have the shadow hidden in a way that it doesn't look like the mech is touching anything. This one is really nice!
I also love how the mech is metallic, but not glossy!
Thanks !!

Wow. You really have a great mech library! Cool shots!
Thanks !!
Vyusur, it might be a server issue on Daz's end, but your "Factory" image is not found (or seen)
I replaced my image with another one. Should be working now.
Hmmm... I wonder if it's not being 'shared', so that you can see it, but nobody else can? It's just a blank image box still.
The Image in the WIP shows, but not the one in the Entry thread.
Veronika, your entry #24 still is not showing on my screen. Not sure why. I've had a lot of problems with attachments to my posts. Not sure why. Your next entry loads fine and looks great. Fortunately, there are still many days left for us all to overcome the Daz forum software glitches.
Here is what I am seeing for #24.
Bunyip - lots of great images. Thank you for being such an awesome participant!
Thanks !!! Been having fun dusting off those items in my Runtime !
I replaced my picture twice! Is it not visible yet?
Visible for me !
I can see both of your entries now. Still not sure if the problem is on the Daz end or on my end. I've had a lot of recent problems with forum attachments. Thanks for your patience.
@Stezza, As all powerful coordinator, I hereby waive the requirement for a WIP post for your deleted scenes. Please enter them if you wish.
So let it be written, so let it be done.

Just because the future is dystopianm doesn't mean it can't be cute! Good one, Misty,
The tube light scene is pretty cool. Are those the lights that come with the set? Or did you swap those out as well? Either way, get a thumbs up.
the fixtures came with the set.
is there a secret to make anything glows emit light?
it does glow in the dark, but isnt emitting light
Anything Glows is a light emitter for the glow channel. For this set, however, the glow suface is recessed quite a bit, so you might need to crank it up a bit.
I love the 2260 series. I used to put a spot in each fixture, with a secondary spot set up higher to emit volumetric light. I still use those saved scene sometimes. The cool part about using the volumetric light is that, especially with a lot of subtlety, it give a touch of visible light emission - we can see that the light is coming from the fixtures.
So now, using that volumetric light idea, I simply use a couple of large rectangle or elipse shape lights to illuminate an area, using the little volumetric spot cans to give the impression that the light is actually coming from the fixtures. Gives me more control over the mood of the room.
Absolutely loving the entries! Bravo all!!!
I entered tonight. Better late than never!
@Bunyip02 I am liking what you are doing with that Topaz post.
I've been quiet recently on here catching up with the whole Genesis 1-8 thing on Daz. Those G8 figures look great in IRAY but I have to say ...... Daz crashes regularly and I'm not even pushing it, Carrara rock solid as ever.
See you all for the voting.
@Sci_fi_funk, for some reason I am not seeing your entry image in the entry thread. These days I don't know what is a problem on my end and what is a problem with the forum software. Could you check again?
