Keep in mind that DAZ has stated in the past that not every character will be updated to the latest figures. Girl never got a Gen 5 release, Kids 4 became the Young Teens set, David skipped from Gen 3 to Gen 5, and She Freak stopped at Gen 4.

That said, David 6, Freak 6 and Hiro 6 would be welcome additions to my runtime.

To me Young Teens were not meant as a new iteration of K4. They are unique and make it easier to disage adult characters (the results are quicker and better than Fountain of Youth in my humble opinion). But it is true that some characters are skipped or emerge out of blue sky (like Lilith).

I hope for more males (not as much major shapes as content for them), MilDog 2, MilCat 2, improved primates - maybe a hippo, a pig and certainly new rats - and morph resource kits. If DAZ really insists on making ethnic shapes no-brainers (we have already got Lee and Mei Lin, mind it), I demand - yes, I DEMAND - Africans.

Raw, GREAT work and I am in line with money in hand for your figures but I do believe Denny is right. The nipples on Massive figure look almost "cross-eyed"

Will these figures have individual muscle morphs or just all over increase in size and definition?

    I am buying! :)

    +3 on

    Freak 6
    She-Freak 6
Mil Dog 2 (with LAMH hair)
Mil Cat 2 (with LAMH hair)
    David 6

and SUPERSUIT 2! (with just as many morph and shader options and better layout on material zones. Perhaps three suits in one pack with all the same vertices and morphs but different materials zones for mixing and matching?)

    A boy can dream. :)

P.S.: I am getting VERY sick & tired of skimpware.

That's probably not the morph, but the chest bones from the pose moving in the nipples to appear like that.

    Yep...it is simply the pose.
When the shoulders and everything is pulled forward like that, things bunch together.
I would post more renders, but I dont want this to turn into a promo thread for the product...I will wait till closer to it's release and start its own thread for that.

Another thought to keep in mind, how much support have the male characters released so far been getting, both from the Community and the Vendors?

If the Community isn't buying the male characters or products, then both DAZ and the Vendors are going to be asking themselves whether it's worth the cost of developing those products.

Just looking at the clothing and accessories category, Genesis 2 Males only show 180 products, compared to Genesis 2 Females 618 products. OUCH! Females have over three times as many items as males, and that's just clothing!

The People Category shows a dismal 150 items for the Males, while the Females have 422! Over DOUBLE the male items!

Those two facts alone are showing that Vendors are definitely NOT making anywhere near the number of products for the Genesis 2 Males as for the Genesis 2 Females. This in turn tells me Vendors and DAZ aren't seeing sales for the Male products, and just aren't making them as a result.

So, instead of just making a thread begging for male characters, show DAZ and the Vendors you want them by buying the male clothes and characters!

I support makers of men's content all the time. =-)

I'm not going to buy content though, just because its for a guy. Firstly, it may not be what I need (I don't do fantasy renders for example or images of teens) and secondly, men's items are kind of pricy compared to their female counterparts, and frankly not always well designed.

I don't need anymore shorts and sandals outfits. Or painted on jeans, or pants with no seams, and no fly, or conan/barbarian/roman legion outfits. These outfits can be well done, but that is not the type of art I do .

I would love to support vendors making clothing. But what I need is sci-fi clothing, and contemporary clothing, that is unlike what has already been made in the store. I tend to buy, for example every outfit Hellfish makes. The clothing is quality, and in the vein I use.

Much to what SereneNight says for me as well. However, for me in general, my purchases are usually more bundle-prone unless I see something modest or everyday that I really like. When I create fictitious scenes, all my characters are a mix of fantasy and everyday clothing, as if they could live in this world as the might & magic fantasy beings they are and still blend in a contemporary crowd, simply based on what they're wearing. :)

Actually you do need to support the male items as much as you can. I do. The male market is so small and if you are choosy by not buying then they will quickly leave. There have a few PAs that have tried to test the water with items (which I've sometimes prodded) and I see posts like this and their sales aren't good enough and they don't try again and you don't get the stuff you need. My needs are different as there's already too much contemporary stuff and sci-fi hits the low end of everyone's list. I want underwear, sexy stuff ;) No boxers. Stuff to show off the morphs I make. I don't need more jeans and shirts unless they open up, but I realize that's quite an undertaking for vendors, so I'm wanting to learn how to do some of that myself. But I'm happy PAs like Sickleyield has been making swimwear and underwear that was sorely missing from the store since D3. (And I've been showing her WIPs of my stuff... wearing her undies and swimwear products ;) )

I whole-heartedly agree with Serenenight. I have had to venture to the other store that cannot be mentioned for my men's apparel needs. That's sad. I want to shop here.

...same here, I am not much into fantasy which seems to be a major theme for most male (as well as female) clothing. I too would like more contemporary styles like you actually see people wearing. What about sweatshirts, sweaters, sportcoats, casual suits, overcoats, jackets, "team" logo sportswear, casual slacks, a set of overalls (finally got one for the girls), even Hawai'ian "Aloha" shirts (which have come back into popularity), etc...? I'd also like to see more near future/cyberpunk styles.

..and David 6 to wear it all.

I can understand part of that logic, but on the flip side, we would miss them why? Seriously. IMO I can't agree that my money should be spent because someone made something. Let me say right now I have thousands of DAZ products, so I support the vendors. But the painted on pants, no seams or wrinkles pants were not purchased unless they were 70% off or more- because they are NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Vendors sell to consumers- I think they get that.

Also-My money goes to support quality, and if the painted on pants legs/no seams/ little effort quality just keeps getting made and bought- what would be the motivation to put in the effort and make detailed stuff?

I don't owe anyone anything- they elected to do this-as I have, I am learning ZBrush, we have Silo and LightWave- and I would not expect anyone to buy anything I make in the future if it isn't detailed and realistic.

There have been many suggestions as to what could be made for men, and some of it has appeared. But for example, look up JACKETS for men- what do you get? We have enough hoodies and tshirts. Where's the jackets? Dress shirts? Things can't sell if they aren't offered. And testing the market with painted on pants then saying "It doesn't pay to make men's clothing" is stupid- not a valid test of the market at all.

EDIT: I see KK already beat me to the punch on mentioning jackets!

I prefer rendering the guys and have certain like supporting PA's not just here but elsewhere who make the kind of content I like to look at. Hellfish, you, Sickleyield and Mec3d, are just some of the PA's I love to buy from....

But I have to level with you I can't buy it just because I like you and like men's content. Well, maybe, occasionally, but I just don't LIKE fantasy. I don't use teen/kids very often. I like hunks, and sci-fi and contemporary clothing- with details and clothing with morphs. I don't like the painted on pants, or clothing without details, and I won't use it. It looks ugly and strange. Especially when I have seen some of the fantastic and detailed clothing that some people ARE making.

If I could afford to do so, I would buy men's content to encourage people to make more. Heck, I'd fund my product line or bribe people to make more of what I need. But I can't. If I am choosy, it is because I have to be, not because I want to discourage PA's from making guy stuff.

That sold OK so I'm not in a hurry to do another female product. The G2M products (Teens and Hero) blew that out of the water. The Freak product sold like crap, but better than the intro to wynn. The product for David 5 sold marginally better, but not terrific. The only female product that came close to the G2M sales was "Sugar and Spice" for G2F.

And as far as a jacket... not really. There are far more things the guys need that would recoup my investment, and some that probably couldn't be sold here, but would make much more money.

Also Stephanie obviously did well enough to make it to the '6' iteration... her and Aiko.

EDIT: Also I don't need a David as I have enough shapes in different sizes in my products where it isn't necessary for me. Actually Lee makes a good David with a little tugging ;)

I certainly hope you make skimpwear undies. I'd buy those. I have all of sicklleyield's men's undies, and MEc4d's wrestling pants, and unitard, although I haven't figured out how to adjust the darn groin, but that's another thread. =-)

That is interesting your teen product is a top seller, although not surprising since you make quality products.
