....if you've seen female bodybuilders, they can look rather masculine.

Actually, regarding jackets, I was just thinking today that I'd find a quality leather jacket very useful for both Genesis 2 genders. Mec4D's Vampire Huntress has an amazingly good one, but... That circular stitching pattern draws attention to her breasts a little too much, for my liking. It'd be perfect for almost any character, if not for that. Likewise, I do like the look of the new Dark Passion for guys, but the chain effects across the chest only really work if you're using it for a goth type of character. Not, say, a gruff biker.

Would think a 'Terminator'-style leather jacket would make any character look good, but not at the cost of necessarily forcing them to be of a particular personality type, other than casual (especially if the lower belt is optional or can be hidden). And a sleeveless leather gilet, as made famous by the character in the first 'Left 4 Dead' game would also be just as suitable for either Genesis 2 gender.

Would also think a similar atyle of fingerless black biker gloves could be sold for either gender, too. Simple things like that can really contribute to hard-as-nails aesthetics.

Thats why I had to take it to a more comic book styling than real world.

Where are the cowboy outfits? I would certainly buy a set and a duster would be useful.

...agreed on the duster, as autofit doesn't play very nicely with long coats

Love to see an Indy Jones type jacket as well.

Let's burn our underwear and riot and pillage!

I will if you will. YOU FIRST. (then I take out the camera, laughing evilly.)

    Love your image!

Aww, you had me there, I like exposure, but rather for my work than my own butt LOL
Oooh, and I neglected you and your thread so very badly, that I feel ashamed :O *hangs head*
Let me make that up to you soon! (not DAZ soon hehe)

Male-M3dia; you, FWArt and Jepe plus a few others are on my "watch them closely" list for sure as you peeps clench my thirst for male content!
Your Axel is still my altime fav and I keep going back to him (I even used the skin on the male promo render I posted here) :D

Thanks for the signature link! :)
For those who don't know, we try to showcase several products each week and recent things we've bought- and strike a balance between male and female products. I'm with SereneNight, I really like Ryuu. I don't think I've ever done Freak...oh my. SereneNight is really good at covering the male products. I think I'll go explore the latest Freak. (I HATE that name.)

The glory of freak is that he is a man of action. He is the character with the 'toss the car' and 'lift big heavy things' poses. He tends to get shorter hairstyles (although a long one in the last pack), and he for me is a great 'add on' character. I tend not to use Freak as a standalone character, but as a character I dial a little in now and then.

Freak 5 and 4, have some bad boy clothing options. Clothing like Arnie might wear. Yeah, there is the barbarian king stuff, but he can also be the big city bruiser. Freak can also get dialed into monsters making them beefy.

So here's my very first Freak character- Derek, dialed down quite a bit here and there. I wanted to test a dark background with the dark skin (love a challenge) and do a not-full-daylight, more dusky render. To see the render as it really appears, you'll need to click to enlarge and click again because it's a large one and resizing makes it look much darker. I like Derek.

So where IS Freak 6, now that I'm a fan?

OK, so I'm not dying for a F6, but I sure want some more men in my runtime - and more clothes to them as well. I seriously lack a thin and slender man - elfin to go with Giselle and David 6 and stylish man for Olympia.

I'd also see a few outfits that lack from my runtime, like Bot Armor for M2, a dress uniform with plenty of optional tassels so that you might do your own soap dictator. More scifi stuff. And a roman/greek toga.

Finally some serious winter clothes for both genders!

I really really think there is room for David and Freak even Hiro, not to mention a little bit of expansion on character lines not done before like all the new female icons. 10 - 4 is pretty lame odds, it was annoying the wait for the G2M, since Genesis 1 introduced both at once, but better than the very long wait between V4 and M4. They started a 1 to 1 alternating pattern after M6, which despite missing out on 3, at least there was a degree of gender variety. But the patterns changed and its getting fewer and far between. With all the different themed genres and shapes (Great for custom character bases) the female lines offer, you cant tell me the males cover them all and David/Freak etc couldn't offer more.

    Mei Lin 6, Lilith 6, Lee 6, Aiko 6, Giselle 6, Gianni 6, Stephanie 6, Jayden 6, Olympia 6, Michael 6, Josie 6, Girl 6, Gia 6, Victoria 6

Don't get me wrong, I don't want more than that which the female lines offer, I just would love to see the same variety and equal releases. Pretty much the main influxes of male hair, textures and clothing is with an iconic character debut. So really its no wonder G2F has truck loads of content. (daily PA releases aside) At the same time I will only reward the PAs who put in the good detail and quality in regards to male clothing, I cant afford to not be picky, and frankly I hope that would reflect in the sales. Quality shows and when it comes up, it gets snapped up :)

And excellent render there Novica btw, love the lighting and the attention to detail :cheese:

Agreed with Spyro. I understand females sell better than males, so it is understandable there will be more women, but the difference shouldn't be so huge. I will compare Generation 5:

    MALES:
    Basic male
    Michael
    Hiro
    David
    Freak
    Justin
    FEMALES:
    Basic female
    Victoria
    Aiko
    Stephanie
    Julie
    ICONIC MALES
    Michael 3-4
    Hiro 3-4
    David 3
    Freak 3-4
    ICONIC FEMALES
    Victoria 3-4
    Aiko 3-4
    Stephanie 3-4
    Girl 4

Wait a minute <:( Rawart, this product isn't going to be HD-only is it? PLEASE say it won't be HD only... I can't use any of your HD products because I have Daz 4.5 (also, I'm too lazy to uninstall then reinstall the 64 bit version of 4.5 which I *THINK* but can't remember for sure if I have on my HD.)</p>

*Looks* Yeah, good. Maybe I should install 64 bit instead... I still doubt the HD morphs will work though :(

I hope there will be non-HD versions anyhow since I might not want all of that sinewy HD detail. <:(</p>

    Liiiiists... :wow: *Drools*

    Adding on to that:

    Red= Females
    Blue = Males

GEN 3 = 3:4 (Excluding Girl and Kids)
    GEN 4 = 4:3
    GEN 5 = 3:4
    GEN 6 = 11:4 (Including Belle)

So, yeah, everything's all nice and proportionate until we get to this generation. So, unless DAZ really starts cranking out the guys after Belle, then yes, this is a bit problematic.

How come you don't list it in your products? I only see an HD morph listed on the info page :\ That's GREAT to hear though :D

I'll probably end up buying most of the Gen 6 gals and all of the Gen6 guys that have come out thus far. I won't be getting Olympia, Eclypse, or Giselle, though. I don't know if I'd get David 6 or not, but if we get a Hiro 6 and Freak 6, I'm snatching those up. As far as clothing, right now it's evenly split between male and female, but it probably won't be long before the male wardrobe exceeds the female one as I still plan to use Genesis 1 for most of my gals (I mainly need Genesis 2 for the muscle chicks since G1 has far less detail) I believe I've already snatched up most og G2M's fantasy wardrobe in the PC section, and nearly all in that category that I have yet to purchase is in my wishlist.

And yeah, just checked, and HD morphs don't work in 64 bit Daz 4.5 either, so it does indeed require 4.6. Which I won't be using unless I get a second computer or DAZ makes it so that you can have two fully functional versions of Studio on your comp at once.

Oh yes - Sharon Stone in 'The Quick and the Dead'! I love her for this movie, and I would very much like to have an outfit like hers for G2F!

And male skimpwear undies ... Let me think ... - why not? ;-) (Am I sexist?)

Also, I've never played it, because I don't have a games console, but I did pick up a book on the concept art for a game called 'Darkwatch'. It's mixes the themes of vampires and the Wild West together and I don't think we've got anything similar in the store. A line of 'evil'/gothic-themed Western outfits would be very cool to have (especially those leather gloves with the metal talons on the end). Especially if someone puts together a Gothic-Western saddle arrangement for the Daz Horse 2 (like Dark Barding, but without the chest piece and with more metal/leather fusion). Or even something similar for Dragon 3, too.
