I do have daz3 installed and still use it now and then just for the FX plugin & dreamlites Movie maker plugin along with other some other light gel plugins for making HDRi's for my iray backgrounds i have some fx tools that won't work beyond daz studio verison 4.10 like Nerds3D wave tool and water disk, the fire & smoke tool, Rain maker. etc all stop working in daz 4,10
But i do have Fludios but i am not very impressed with the fire particale part of it though the water looks pretty good
well for Nerd's stuff you can still download 4.5 with my first link if it's in your library and it should be and at least load genesis figures for 3Delight
just stick it in another folder somewhere
I have 4.5 already installed so I can still use the nerds 3d stuff that is what my complaint was I when i said I have to keep multi copies of daz to be able to still use my content , and even though flash is no longr supported in poser . all my older 2009 content will still all load and work in poser12 and i started with poser7
as you can see i was not kidding when i said i have 7 versions of daz studio installed . I just loaded them all but 4.12 beta & took a screen grab of them .
I have mine on different computers at least
I have Poser 7 on one too
and there is a fix on HW3D and Renderosity for the flash issue with later builds
I have all mine 3d app accept zbrush loaded onto one external 1tb SSD drive, so i can access them all. but yeah It can be a pain having to keep all these copies with matching plugin for the versions . but if you want to make animation with daz studio and still be able to use all the older tools & content then its kind of necessary to keep so many copies. I wish it weren't that way.
@WendyLuvsCatz did you keep a copy of flash installed for poser7 menus to work? because my poser10 menus stopped working once I uninstalled adobe flash and I have 2 older fantasy canyon sets that are pz3 & only work in poser 10 python or older versions that Lisa B gave me many years ago how did you work around the poser/Adobe flash end of life issue?
P7 doesn't use Flash so I am OK
otherwise

@WendyLuvsCatz Thanks I do not know how i missed that thread.
@RorrKonn I am already using it. & UE as well. I've been trying learn them for about 4 months now, since blender v2.8. But I have been working with poser and daz longer than Blender and i have a lot of content, so some habits are hard to break.
Yall will like this one
You make the BEST movies Ivy... I love every one you make ;) Keep up the great work... Stay safe... Hugzzzzzzz
@Llola Lane (((Blush))) Thank you so much for being a fan
I love your work as well. It has been fun to watch and follow. You are able to do a 15 minute animation a month? What if you had mocap? How fast could you produce?
Well, if you don't care about the quality of the teaching, that expands your options exponentially.
Very nicely done.
Do you have any YouTube animations we can watch to see your work? You claimed that a minute per frame was excellent, but is it true after optimizing the scene for HD? In 4K format, it takes me two minutes per frame. HD is becoming less and less relevant as 4k is the new standard. I converted the HD format to 4K, but the quality was still acceptable. I get a much better quality rendering in 4K.
Why, do you want to animate something? That is the first question you need to answer. The second is do you have the resources for example: money, software, hardware, time? If you want to make a short scene with a few characters I would look outside of Daz Studio and use a game engine to animate. If you want the full meal deal to make a motion picture, that is alot of work and is it worth it? I would first take some animation classes and learn what you are getting yourself into. There is also classes on story development, character development, script developement ect. As a long time Lightwave user I can tell you animation is not easy to do well. Is it worth it, sure if you love 3D it is the culmination of 3D. Instead of just jumping in blind I would find someone who does this professionally and ask their opinion on what you should learn and take it from there. Good Luck.
there are ai upscalers like GFPgan, Topaz Megapixel AI, Waifu2XCaffe etc
also how detailed do you need the background to be? does it even need to be in focus? depth of field is a powerful narrative tool in moviemaking
I'm interested. Daz Studio and/or Blender.
Tim
So awesomme!
Sounds about right.
depends entirely on your settings
Denoiser can be used with 10 iterations a frame if you only use Dome for lighting
if not translating the camera you can even use just a HDRI and optionally a background
you can rotate the camera with a panoramic HDRI
