Just finished all the Eccleston series, now into David Tennant.. both made good Doctors.. but I have a serious crush on Billie Piper now :red: :red: :red:

..Lalla Ward ("Romana II") did that to me. :red:

...and Romana was just no mere assistant, but a Time Lady herself..

Ah, the Tom Baker era.. he's still my favorite Doctor!

    ...well, "Snowp[ocalypse 11/14" never happened.

I expected to wake up to 4 or more inches (as predicted) and nothing, the ground is barely even wet. Looking at the radar, apparently the bulk of the storm bypassed us completely and went into the Cascades. South of us it's just plain ol' rain as the temperatures remained pretty much steady in the upper 30s to low 40s all night in the valley. The warning has been downgraded to an advisory but with freezing rain/drizzle still in the forecast.

This isn't the first time that the local media got everyone here whipped into a near panic as they did yesterday. I remember one time not long ago we were supposed to get the "mother of all blizzards" with up to a foot of snow and every news outlet was running around like Chicken Little. On the assurances their forecasters were correct, the city decided to close all the schools, offices, and cancel various events the night before while the transit system chained up all the buses. The next morning, all we got were a couple of brief showers (no snow) and it turned partly sunny (and rather nice) by noon.

I know, predicting the weather isn't an exact science, even given all the education and millions (billions?) in equipment they have. This incident however ended up more a "perfect storm" of embarrassment for the local news media than one involving snow.

ETA, well they at least got one part right this time, the freezing rain has just started. I'd rather have the 4 - 6 inches of snow as at least it's easier to get around in than trying to walk or drive on a sheet of ice.

@KK - yurgh, I'd prefer snow to ice myself! Stay warm and dry. :)

General babble: surfing the store after lunch just to relax, and I find a "battle kimono. :blank: Really, WTH? "Battle" kimono?

    :blank: :blank: :blank:

Next up, I'm guessing "Sexy murder ninja kimono"... :ahhh:

What are all these sick people doing in here? Shoo! Off to bed with you all! Take some medicine and get plenty of rest. Keep warm (unless it's too hot where you are).

...so what if the bus is late or you have to work overtime or cover a shift for someone who is sick? That's pretty restrictive. I would talk to your caseworker about that.

This doesn't sound like a very good living environment.

Really? You wonder? I'm thinking an idea like that must have come from seeing it. I mean, how much really original stuff do you see around here? :smirk:
