Wow, Gecko! I hope things start to turn out better for you. Maybe your doctor is just hesitant to talk about things out of his range of expertise. Hopefully the expert will set your mind more at ease, and your body, too!

Too cold and windy for me to go out and apply for my photo ID. Guess I'll have to go tomorrow.

I haven't used Powerpoint since my University days. I forgot how to setup slideshows.

I haven't used Powerpoint since my University days. I forgot how to setup slideshows.

It's pretty simple if, like me, you're just trying to provide a high to middle level view of the project. The problem is having to dumb-down the information to fit on a few slides, this is a VERY complkex software with 8 programs running inside it, communicating between each other, and trying to turn something that gives ME a headache into something a product manager (non-software-savvy) is slow and tedious.

I keep thinking "No, too techie" and re-writing slides over and over. :blank:

500 employees.. six mechanical engineers.. one hardware guy.. one software guy. And the engineering manager, a mechanical engineer doesn't WANT to understand the details of the software. :blank:

I'm just glad there's a 4 day weekend coming, Heaven knows I need the break!

Nibbling a toasted BLT croissant with EXTRA BACON! :cheese: Very tasty, lettuce is crispy and the tomatoes are fresh.

Now to see if I can stay awake until it's quitting time... :blank:

...Gecko. good to see you gain and no apologies needed.

Being no stranger to ongoing pain, though not yet as serious (but which even OTC meds don't seem to do much for anymore either) I can understand what you are going though. Simple tasks (like even bending down to tie one's shoe) become difficult and often very painful. I know that after a long session of 3D work my right hand, wrist, and shoulder ache tremendously even using a trackball which takes a lot of stain off compared to using a conventional mouse. Some days It's difficult to type as well as the finger joints get so inflamed.

There is one thing that helps better than NSAIDS and even prescription arthritis meds (many which have side effects that are worse than the stiffness and pain) which thankfully is now legal here in Oregon. The medical grade I get is a lot different in that it doesn't make one "loopy" and actually helps to reduce inflammation better than NSAIDS without burning a hole in one's stomach or making one seriously nauseous all day. The only negative side effect is a social, rather than medical one.

Diane uses it at work a lot. She likes it. But sometimes she uses it for things that it's not meant to do.

    Complaints

--Rain forecast for most of this week into the middle of next week beginning later today.
    --Joints and bones aching.
--Need to run errands (bank and grocery) before the rain hits this afternoon.

    Non Complaints

--3D project contract looks to be a "go".
--Invited to an all day feast and bier fest on Turkey Day
--Dinner tonight: Flutterby and Shell Pasta with my Super Special Secret pasta sauce.
--Finished and uploaded my submission for the PC Anniversary challenge to the Galleries
--Counted over five pages of new stuff (200+ items) in my Product Library all from the PC sale.
--Monday Night Football Double Dip: Ravens at Saints.& Jets at Bills (in Detroit because of all the snow).
--Wisky didn't lose ground in the polls despite a not so "pretty" win on Saturday. On track for a New Year's Day Bowl (Citrus).

...I'll do my best. As long as we don't get any ice storms (dodged a bullet with the last one) I'll be fine, Even a foot of snow is preferable to a half inch of ice. Besides, it's kind of fun to watch Portland go into "Snowpocalypse Panic Mode". The last time we had a really big snow (18") the city was shut down for a week. Kind of nice and peaceful. I could even walk down the middle of Burnside St. (the one I usually have to wait five or more minutes to cross on a normal day because the traffic is so bad).

    It's TIME.

Tonight I'm going to start work on the opening page of the Vicky's Diner Webcomic.

    I have the art assets.
I crammed on Comic Life tutorials all weekend (a couple of shots were posted in this thread).
I have the first chapter "Grand Opening" sitting in my head.

Time to nut up or shut up! :ahhh:

It was like that in my home city after the Blizzard of '78. Normally, I wouldn't advise walking in the street in that city. People would run you down, then beep their horn at you!

Complaint: I posted that last post over an hour ago. I went grocery shopping, came home, packed everything away, came back to the computer and it was still sitting here, unposted. When I tried again (thought I had just forgotten to press the button) it went to my account page! >:-(

So, I opened my account in another tab. Then pressed submit here and it worked. :blank:
