As a close personal friend of Lyoness, I can tell you she has been working very hard to constantly grow and improve as a texture artist. She did not feel that Alysanne and Kennedy were up to the standards that she sets for herself and prefers that they not stay on the market as a representative of her skills. She certainly didn't mean to alienate anyone or disappoint her customers. I know that this recent response to retiring the characters is a real surprise to her. I don't think she anticipated this much disappointment, or any for that matter. But she is always working and constantly comes up with fresh ideas to bring everyone some truly unique characters. This was meant to be a good thing, and I hope you all can see that she did what she thought was best.

I like Lyoness's girls and the only reason I don't have more is because of an intervention for my Dazholicism :red:

I always thought that LY Kennedy looked like Vanessa Hudgens in the promo art, but that's probably just me :-P

And on another note, I like your stuff too, Slosh ;-)

Here's a couple of renders of Kennedy, one with another randomly selected character for a comparison, both G1, and one of the V4 version. If I should complain about anything it would be the V4 version which has some rather dull eyes and slightly distorted armpits (more than the default V4), but otherwise I don't see anything wrong.

Neither do I and, considering I use Generation 5 and up (with exception for H3 and A3, whom I still didn't transfer as I need to scrape out the funds for the plugin's addon), any possible issues with Generation 4 don't bother me.

And Lyoness should be proud that so many people really, really like even her first characters. I'm going to get a different character in the meantime, but I have already got Olympia, which - apart from morph kits - is the most pear-shaped and full-figured character I have for Gen2F, so I have little choice with Alysanne "stolen" from the shop.

I have most of Lyoness's characters including both Alysanne and Kennedy. The Lyoness character most similar to Alysanne is LY Sophie. The render below is Alysanne (black bikini) and Sophie (red bikini). The figure is not identical, but I imagine with a little morph adjustment you could get it very close.

Thank you for the comparison. As much as I value Sophie for her dirt options, I simply like Alysanne more. She is more like a woman I can meet on the streets of my area. The intent was to use Alysanne and Olympia as aunts of my Genesis kiddies...

Way to make everyone happy: Update the textures on those two and put them back on the market with either an update or a coupon for previous buyers.

That is a good idea. I still hold my view I see nothing wrong with either skin.

LY Kennedy from the DAZ graveyard...

How much would it cost to ask Maman Brijit to perform a summoning of a 3D girl? And are there discounts for multiple summonings...?

Now it is official, I guess. I must rethink all possible results of paying a ransom for both women. Or try to kidnap them myself.

After checking my runtime scrutinisingly, I came up with a list of:
    a) owned characters (usually for some interesting parts as I usually custom-dial my characters):
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-karine (to have a voluptuous witch with nice hazel eyes)
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-evie (as she is not a perfect beauty in the general sense, but has captivating eyes - the browns and amber options are just cute)
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-sloan (eyes again and the morph for A6)
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-kari (she's still adolescent, has those eyes and a suggestion of freckles - pretty)
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-eira (amber eyes and pale lips)
    b) wishlisted:
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-sophie (scars and dirt - this is so scarce in most character packages, a bow to Lyoness for these)
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-harleigh (for the eyes, this time blue and green; besides, she could be used as a cruel temptress, she's got that painful appeal to her, think of "Wuthering Heights")
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-lumikki (for the cold textures; I would use them on DarioFish's elves)
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-waverly (great green eyes and the general shape)
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-brynn (dirt again - she's got that badass attitude)
http://www.daz3d.com/ly-emily (the face, eye colours and lips)

agreed, you cant win them all. I thought I had LY Kennedy, Perhaps I was thinking of Brynn, Mikaella, or Presley.
I don't have the promos for Kennedy, and yet another item yanked out of my 'I'm going to buy that' list. lol.

OK, walked away for a sec. took a breath. Me and cecilia.robinson apparently had plans, tho slightly different ones, still.
    (EDIT 07DEC2014 12:51utc)
I will respect your wishes to hide works that you feel were 'inferior' Lyoness. I hesitated for at least six month with purchasing LY Kennedy, as she was not a G2F figure, that was my mistake and regret, not yours.

Pleas forgive my bluntness Bluebird 3D, I still would not mind having the outfit for use in my renders, however I think I may have found a solution for the arm wraps.

RIP Kennedy, you will be missed. Feb2014-Nov2014.

Vendors are artists too. Characters aren't just items being sold, they're also the vendor's own artwork and a reflection of their talents. Just as a lot of artists choose to pull old pieces from their galleries that they are no longer happy with, it's perfectly within a vendor's right to do the same thing.

As an aside, I really like the way you did Emily, and I'm hoping you choose to do more like her in the future. Any non-standard makeup options really allow a character to shine since it offers something most characters don't.
