Oh that's right! Mothers want lingerie....because nothing is more important than the male gaze.

    Or female gaze?wink

Anyway, yes, I felt a bit confused with the choice of the Mother's Day bundle. I would have expected something else too. Perhaps a bundle of bouquets, gift boxes, letters  (something like big letters saying "Love you Mom" and a heart), maybe poses for mother and child (like hugs, walking hand-in-hand), maybe expressions too?

Oh well. At least I know my phone call later today will make my own Mom happy.smiley

How do think they become mothers?
Daz is helping along and doing their part.. lol

I think decor should have been the theme.

    Flowers.....both outdoor and indoor.

    "New mothers" all baby stuffs.
    Wardrobe....gowns and stuffs.....full mothers.....

Hospital stuff....giving birth and bringing new life into the world....

    Poses....family stuff.....anything parental in nature......

A mother does not need us, but rather we need her tenderness and to stand by us in times of adversity .heart

I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't include cooking supplies and fitness equipment.

At least they didn't get her a vacuum cleaner...

You have to be stupid not to know the smart gifts are comfy clothing, yummy snacks, jewelry or at least a friggin' macaroni necklace or a breakfast that looks like a bunch of blind raccoons threw it together.

Of course mileage may vary with personality or interests, but sexy lingerie... yeah... even I'm not that clueless.

some nice cut flowers for the lovely vases by LaurieS would have been a nice idea indeed

Sexy lingerie. I'm surprised they didn't throw in a set of sexy poses.

I am not a mom but I think modern moms would want a VR headset!  Or maybe a day at a spa with full body massage, facials, mani/pedi. And a nice outdoor brunch with mimosas and a view of the beach. My mother liked really elaborate expensive outdoor brunches at top restaurants or upscale hotels and she was super picky about where we were seated lol... And she also liked flower PLANTS like orchids but not cut flowers.

I haven’t really seen assets for facials and specifically mani/pedis but I have the makings of the rest. I always can use more lingerie outfits though but I only like two out of the four. On one the bra looks like a grandma bra or maybe the outfit is supposed to be 50’s retro?

I am a mom... caring about lingerie was at least a couple of kids ago ;-)  I got a bouquet of lilies, toad-in-the-hole and a cup of hot chocolate (real chocolate, not powder) delivered to me in bed.  My one son has put together a 'goody-basket' in GuildWars for me to get later.  Nothing Daz could offer comes close to this :-D

A new cool critter that works with 3DL and has no d-force or SBH would be on my wish-list... but there's nothing like that here.  Of course, no spas or restaurants or hotels or anything open here, either, so disappointment isn't just virtual ;-)

Clearly in DAZlandia Mom's want to celebrate mother's day with pink fabric shaders, sexy lingerie and new hairstyles, and some barbies without their elements. Oh wait, that is DAZ store everyday!

What an offering completely based on what (seflish) men want... *sigh*

My mom (62) wanted a grilled Impossible burger and homemade potato salad.

I'm the mother of a number of fur-babies and the last thing on my mind is more friggen useless lingerie and pinup poses. Where did I spend my money today? $100 at Kitbash3D on their new Valhalla set. Bing.

    Im a guy.

I'm a fan of lingirie on an attractive woman.

But for mother's day... Seriously Daz. What is wrong with you?

Things like this is why i rarely buy anymore, despite having 100s in credit - and i don't visit more than 2 or 3 times a week - usually to check the forums.

It kind of looks like Daz doesn't ask people to create things specifically for the holidays. They probably just pick whatever is coming out soon that might be holiday appropriate, or failing that, holiday adjacent. In this case, Mother's day is about women, and women wear lingerie. Or some do. Maybe.

Valentine's Day adjacent? Mother's Day I think of flowers and sunshine because of spring...not boobs and panties. I mean, I definitely don't want to think about my mom's boobs. Or panties. But even for husbands, they should be thinking about their wive's comfort and luxury...and not their boobs. Or panties. Unless they're comfortable panties.

I always associate the use of the word adjacent with something that tries, but doesn't actually fit the situation. Usually comedically so. It's just the smart-a** in me.

To be fair, these panties do look comfortable.

My entire family have always been book-a-hoilics, but because we all have such eclectic tastes and read constantly, it's really hard to buy a book that the intended person hasn't already read and then there's the problem that old books stack up quickly.  So, eight years ago I bought my mom a Kindle and an Amazon gift card, and I now give her additional GCs for her birthday, Xmas, and Mother's Day (as well as taking her out to dinner, etc.)  Yes, it's not quite as "personal" as buying random things like sweaters and antiques, but it's something I know she always needs and appreciates.

The first thing I thought when I saw the sale page today was "What are those idiots doing?". I had a feeling that a mothers day sale here would involve some type of underwear or skimpwear and not something normally associated with Mother's Day but I was really hoping that wouldn't be the case.

It's not really a let down, it's more of a hilariously stupid thing that perfectly feels so DAZ-esque.

I second the the necklace and breakfast. Add in some layered images for the children covered in pancake batter and food coloring.

My mom loved the lingerie I got her today. She's been showing it off to everyone here in the trailer park.

And here I was just happy to hear "Happy Mothers Day" from my kids.  My mom liked flowers, though.

Grandma bra....lol....was thinking the same, like those old Jane Russell ads for Playtex.

I bought myself an Oculus Quest 2 instead buying lingerie at Daz. It's a fair trade.

Sexy lingerie. I'm surprised they didn't throw in a set of sexy poses.

I mean technically, they did. Can't decide if I should be relieved that at least they didn't include them with the Mother's Day Father's Day Valentine's Day Male Gaze Day bundle, or roll my eyes because they probably planned on it and then decided selling it as an add-on meant more money. Given what did make it in, I can't imagine that anyone involved actually paused for a moment and actively decided that might be going too far.

I'm making my mother a fruit tart for next weekend, hopefully. I wanted it for today but the strawberries available around here looked crap this week and you can't make a fruit tart with bad strawberries. Everything from scratch -- vanilla bean pastry cream, fresh fruit, good chocolate ganache between the cream and the pastry (no one wants a soggy bottom lol). Probably going with Callebaut for that because there's no point in spending Valrhona money for something where you won't really be savoring the chocolate itself. I even made the apricot jam that's going in the glaze a couple years back!

I made up for the wait by making her dinner tonight, I do a fish thing that's nothing special and the dead easiest thing, but she loves it and I found some good rainbow trout.

In previous years I've done several hours of hard manual labor in her garden for her.

Pretty sure lingerie has never, ever, even once been on the list of things she's ever wanted to get as a gift, and certainly not for Mother's Day!

I know the ultimate mother's day gift... A six year old son of a friend figured it out - "Aspirin, since mother has headaches all the time..."
