Blue Mamba and Undrivable DAZ Vehicles because of scaling issues

How is one to drive the Blue Mamba? The steering wheel is so low, base male must bend knees to hit the gas pedal, and in doing so, you cannot drive because the steering wheel is embedded in the thighs The seats are scaled oddly, and wide enough for two.
Yes, I can make the vehicle large, but then you can't see over the dashboard and muscle cars are supposed to be small.
This seriously has me considering returning the Jazz bundle.
There should be warnings that the vehicles aren't scaled properly.

Damn... I didn't even try to put anyone in it. So it's basically a 750MB backdrop prop.
Where did they get that gear lever, an eighteen wheeler?
The car is actually far too wide to reach the gear shift when driving. Even adjusting the X scale 90 percent the stick is far to the left by the passenger the seats are also super wide. The steering wheel is also slightly towards the window side of the vehicle.
The car being undrivable was probably the least expected occurrence to prevent an underwear only drive with his muscled friend.
I see you have never driven a Yugo. :D
I think it's DAZ playing into the theme bundle. You got a Soviet knock-off made for their undercover agents to drive around unconspiciously.
I have.. and I owned a Lada for5 years back in the day..
According to the info at the bottom of the page "The Streets of Venice" was used in the promo... ?... So it's a boat too?
From the look of things in the above image, the steering wheel is too vertical... it needs to be at an angle, tilted up... a tad bit forward (it's too close to the dash) and the wheel probably could be slightly smaller.
I can't tell from the pix, but one other problem I've seen which is a common mistake, is some people forget or ignore that the seats of most cars are slightly inside the frame as the floor is slightly sunken in that area, affording more headroom... you usually step down into a car.. some people tend to make that too shallow or even level with the sill... that throws all the dimensions off.
The one vehicle model I have out there (the Bruckner Typhoon Aircar) was specifically fitted for M4 in a driving pose, but the seats and steering wheel/control yoke are adjustable for different figures... it's a huge pain to do all that, but it makes the item a lot more versatile and less problematic to pose a character inside... but you also pretty much have to build the vehicle around a seated figure or use lots of accurate dimensions.
Almost bought that today, so glad I didn't now.
This is one of the reasons why I only buy vehicles with figure poses made for them.
and then there is the hot rod truck https://www.daz3d.com/hot-rod-truck here with Sydney 8 and Giant HD even he is too small for it ok guess for land of the giants
That's unfortunate. People making vehicles for this market should definitely try to build them to fit the base Genesis figures.
The Beach Buggy https://www.daz3d.com/beach-buggy
DOES fit both G8M and G8F, and parents to the driver, so the built-in pose for the driver works pretty well.
it is also 50 percent off right now.
I agree, the store needs to require a pose for G8F and G8M.
I totally understand the dissapointment in getting a vehicle that's not scaled correctly, but imagine my dissapointment in getting Cyberpunk Pickup Truck | Daz 3D based on the images, and then dropping the truck into scene and discovering it's not even the same truck.
Seriously, look at the promo images and look at what you received, it's a similar truck, with NONE of the cyberpunk greebles and completely different trim. I spent an hour last night looking to see if maybe there was some accessory folder I was missing, nope, they just published a different truck and didn't bother to update the promo images.
No nifty "nomad" greebles, no roof rack, completely different front end, completely different paint trim, don't get me started on the use of 4k map masks for the lighting instead of just making the lights separate UVs... It's like the PA ended up with the truck in the first picture, but submitted an earlier beta version accidentally... :(
If the second version was what was intended, the promo art should have been updated.
I'd gladly re-scale a vehicle as long as it's the vehicle I actually bought :(
That is very misleading. They should redo the promos, since its clearly a different product. The headlights are even different shapes, the marking are not the same and the camera is on the top.
Yikes. You should return that and get your money back.
The grill is even a completely different design - it's like looking at one of the pictures where you have to find all the differences! That's more than misleading, and you should get an apology with that money back.
My list of vendors to not buy from is growing!
That seems really strange. @Charlie do you have an explanation for the totally different vehicle? This seems really strange, and I've not had any problems with the other products. All your promos show the truck which we do NOT get when we buy based on the promos.
Daz needs to pull that product ASAP!!!!!
I just got it a couple of days ago. I haven't returned it because I'd like to wait a bit and see if either the promo art gets updated or the package gets an update. The truck in the promo is exactly what I was looking for, and has the same "flavor" as the Nomad vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077 without being a direct copy of any vehicles in the game that I've seen ( yes I've aquired all the vehicles,,, way too many hours played o_O ) and I'm hoping what's in the install package was an error.
As a vendor on another site, I can tell you mistakes happen, but this should have been pretty obvious to the PA. I'd blame QA/Testers for missing it, except on the sites I sell on the testers don't approve promo art, so they likely never saw it, and the person approving the promo art likely never saw the prop. I assume it's the same here.
Either way, I'd prefer to get the prop that was advertised, if not I will likely ask for a return as I probably wouldn't have bought the truck that I received.
As they have changed the appearance of other vehicles as well to steer away from possible "copyright" issues, that car maybe looked too similar to Lada Niva 4x4, but they didn't spot it before promo material was made.

Wow. This has to be some kind of mistake. Really embarassing and not at all ok!
Yeah, that's a completely different truck.
I would put a ticket in on this one.
You certainly didn't get what was advertised.
Oh wow... That car model certainly is channelling some of the CD Red Cyberpunk 2077 game with its delivery.
On a more serious note, it's not just having different hood, grill and textures. If it doesn't come with all accessories then you're definitely not getting what's advertised.
I'd return it.
Also, is the Blue Mamba car model coming with subdivision or having subdivision applied in promo shots? Because the grill and the headlights on the promo shots look less low poly than on the renders coming from the users.
Thank you for pointing this out, the product was chnaged but the old promos were used. Thenimages have now been updated to reflect the actual state of the model. You can of course request a refund if you purchased in the last 30 days, even if it was longer ago it might be worth putting in a request though I obviously can't guarantee the outcome.
Thanks for the update Richard!
While I'm glad to hear the promos have been updated, it's dissapointing that the original truck isn't available. No idea why the vehicle was changed, but the final product doesn't have nearly the "cool factor" the original had, at least in my opinion.
I just bought it a few days ago so I have a little time to decide if I can still use it as a background prop, I'm currently collecting as many cyberpunk-ish vehicles as I can find.
Well, let me summarize: TWO products from the same artits where a bit ....fishy?
The first was a totally different product, the second was way beyond quality expectations.
Could that be up to the artist? Just guessing.... I have several products from the same artist in my library, both of THOSE two are way beyond the standard of that guy. And that is why I am REALLY disappointed. I suppose Charlie will move to my blacklist...
I'd blame QA and the sales department first before pointing fingers at the PA. DAZ still has to give the go signal for a product to reach the store.
...thought I already bought it as I do get a lot of the Cyberpunk items since that is a genre I work a fair amount in, but still jus on the wishlist [*whew*].
I just looked at it again and the main promo image was changed (like the "incorrect" one better)
Just took it off my wishlist, thanks for bringing this to my attention.
