    Same here - doesn't work...

  • Wow. The "celebration" flash sale wasn't active late yesterday morning when I looked at the daily sale, and it's over now. Seriously? Some celebration - turning what should have been goodwill into irritation.
  • and of course never corrected or acknowledged their screw up with the new stuff.. I didn't get anything and I would have spent $25 or so

You celebrate the launch of a new Daz Studio with an exceptional offer only available overnight in European time zones, disappearing at 7 a.m.?

     Seriously?

    I mean ... seriously?

I had a one minute window to use it after I woke up.

An hour later and I find I am still very irritated and angry about this - more than any recent Daz unkindness.
The discrimination against any non-Americas based user seems provocative and deliberately unkind.
Is this really a sensible way to love and encourage your customers?

Yep, I spotted it at 22:45 UTC (which means 15 minutes to midnight or later, depending on which bit of Europe you're in).
It vanished, as usual, at 06:00 UTC

Daz, are you a global company? A simple yes or no will suffice.

Yeah, I saw it very early in the morning on phone and thought: "Great, I will use it when I sit by computer with my morning coffee." And it was gone by that time. Unbelievable.

Well, DAZ really did a tremendous good job in making me angry this week:

    - The PA sale started with up to 60% off on things I just bought one day before for 36% off.
    - All free (if "free" is right for a buy-in of $25) items until now I already own.
    - The super new studio offers had been perfectly timed to leave out Europeans who want to take a regular nights sleep.

And of course the extra 20% on todays bundle are not applied yet.

Sometimes I ask myself how crazy I am for still purchasing that much here.

What should we put in the ticket. Do Daz need informing that they have customers in different time zones, are they unaware that people from across the world spend money in their store. Are they so blind and wrapped up in their US customers that they don't realise promotions like these that appear to favour some time zones and reward only those spenders may well drive customers away.

I posted on Face Book as that seems Daz's preferred method of communicating lately. And from now on thats where I'll put all the not working and possible misleading/confusing sales problems I encounter.

    Sounds like a plan.

  • It probably won't make any of you feel any better, but the "celebration" skipped some of us in the Americas, too. Checked Daz late morning, went to sleep (I work nights), went to work, checked Daz on lunch just after turnover. Didn't even get to see the banner - found out about it here.

I have 2 new items in cart and the 80% works for those.

That's because they're Daz Original products. The 80% works, not the 70%.

Thanks but now 3 hours later the discount still is not working.  And I'm already ticked off about missing the celebration coupons because of the very short duration. angry

Really tempted to stop shopping here !

ETA: I have submitted a ticket but with the normal delays and a weekend coming up it probably won't be read until next week. Could some kind mod please let DAZ know there are unhappy customers because of the short duration of the Celebration coupons. Thanks

So on top of the disappointment of missing out on the flash coupons that assume people live on Daz 24/7, the Steampunk Traveler Bundle 20% discount is not working.

There was a sale or promotion for the release of the new D|S?! I live in the same time zone as Daz and didn't know about it.

I was so busy working on installing and then investigating and explaining to Daz Customer Service the status of two outstanding tech reports that I never saw it. And later finding out it is harder now to fix metadata because of a change in selecting things like 'Preset/Material/MDL' which is now a tree you have to move your mouse down.

Also, I am not buying all the items I have put on wishlist because I am waiting on a gift card sale. When has Daz ever had a major sale without a Gift Card sale prior to it?

So for now, PC+ freebies and two items, a building set and shader for less than $7.00 spent since 28 Aug.

There's a shipload feedback here on the forum... and as long as DAZ doesn't bother to come up with an "official Forum" they should be intelligent enough to look at whats posted here once in a while... business sense, it's called I think..

Or they check their bank account and notice sooner or later a lesser amount of money coming in, as customers stop being customers and do their shopping elsewhere.

Their choice, I guess... like it's my choice where to spend my money.

Even if the 20% EXTRA off Steampunk coupon was working ...

How on earth would it be possible to buy a Genesis 8 Starter Bundle " and " a Genesis 3 Starter bundle with any debut new release when each has a different coupon code yet only one code can be entered at one time?

  • You decide. Or you buy twice. DAZ logic.

It looks like the best deal is to get free items with the purchase of the Steampunk bundle or purchase a new item for each of the categories requiring its respective coupon code.

    + 1000

If they don't restore the coupon I can go elsewhere !!! I'd ask for my money back on all my orders but it would just go to store credit since that is how I paid for them.

  • Streampunk onsite discount seems to be working now.

  • Well, the coupon offer was so short (and I needed some sleep this night), that for me there will be no celebrating of the new studio. Not even downloaded it. I'm not so sure if it doesn't break some of the older items, as most Studio Updates did. Have to find a way to install an older version as well first.

You can't buy both with the same new item, you'd have to make multiple purchases.
