Hehe, I saw your reaction over at DA.
Dialed up guy looks quite handsome ^^
If he were for sale, he'd be an insta purchase for me XD
Anyway, I did purchase the hair and will be showing some renders when I get to it after xmas!
Have a great holiday!
Thank you very much for the purchase :)
and likewise for your festive season.
Great to hear that :)
A bold move and an interesting test though :)
Thanks, good to know it works well in Carrara too.
hi Wendy
nice video
nice guitar playing
is this an animation made by yourself ?
hi laticis
is there a scaling option on the hair so it can grow longer
as an animation maybe ?

I rendered the animation but used a Youtube audioswap for the music
Hi Ruphuss,
There are plenty of morphs that may help create that effect but not one directly dedicated to that result.
I learnt lots during this project and all the fiber work prior but a growing hair from long to short didn't make it in that cycle. :)
I am hoping the release of ZBrush 4R7 brings some new fibers tools for me to play with so anything is possible in the future.

Amazing seeing that in action, well done Wendy :)

well no, had not tried, carrara sadly hates it
but not a biggie, I have carrara dynamic hair for there
I actually mainly bought it for DAZ studio Octane render where it is fine
and the fact it works in iClone is a bonus, the softbody physX an unexpected extra bonus but prob one I will not use much as rather resource intensive.
This really is a beautiful hair. I love it :D
Oh dear, that's a shame about Carrara :(
Thank you very much :)
Thanks heaps Scott :)
You're welcome. And if fact, "next week" arrived sooner than I had anticipated... :)
That's great new mate :) - hope you enjoy it. Thank you for the purchase and the render :)
its awesome how you can play with it
this a one second render in studio
animation will come later
Glad your having fun with it Ruphuss.....look forward to checking out the animation.
@Laticis
Is this hair related to kang1hyun's "Real Short Hair" items over on Renderosity? Similar style and technique. Just wondering if you're the same artist?
2 times the same pic
opengl and 3delight
with the same lighting
a very short clip for the animation possibilities of this nice hair
render in open gl about 3 minutes

http://youtu.be/zKMAMuti4N4 more of my new hot hunk
I must do some studio renders or at least Octane studio renders!
Hi Peter,
Very similar style, technique, and name, kind of freaky actually.......but no, I am not that artist.
Good to see animations being done with it, the thought of it being used for this purpose didn't really cross my mind.
Really putting it through its paces Wendy :)
I see there are issues with the hair remaining affixed to the cap but mostly okay.
yes not really meant for it and the iclone physX uses a weightmap that I could possibly tweak better
here is a quick octane render, http://youtu.be/4AhXduPLFF8 I forgot to put him back to high rez though and only realized after I rendered the ani, damn
Great work on the subtle waviness of the hair and nice work with the Octane animation render.
I have done that with static renders so many times :(
I'm really impressed with this hair on G2M. It looks like some people have fit it to G2F, but I can't get that to work with autofit. It autofits the cap but not the hair. Is there a trick?
Thank you very much :)

"For those who want to use this on G2F, after the initial Auto fit is done, you will need to tell the hair to be conformed to G2F instead of just the skull cap. If you dont, the hair will sit above the skull cap. You may need to adjust your X axis scaling too."
Thank you very much :)

I used Cross-Figure to convert the cap and hair to G2F, and it works perfectly for me. I dialed a few morphs and got this crazy do. I sure hope you make more hair styles like this, because this hair looks pretty real.
Glad to hear you got it work on the G2F :) - thanks for posting the image, sounds like you are happy with it :)
There is plans for more, just waiting for the new ZBrush 4R7 release before starting another.
perhaps as an update: a female adjustment morph, the hair goes straight down, parting options ? did I miss a real black for the hair ?
