They're the wrong cartridges! Why can't things go right for once. Why do I always end up having to contact people, saying, "Hi, I hate to message you, but you messed up. Even though I told you what I wanted, and how I wanted it" :(

I've got keys on my laptop that aren't working properly. It's slow at loading too. Browsing Facebook is like wading through treacle. I've been trying to get through my feed for five hours now. It's flipping ridiculous! I just want to scream. The laptop has spent the last 30 mins trying to uninstall Microsoft Office 2007. Urgh, and Cura is going to take hours to load, too.

I hope I won't be too tired to stay up and work on that crystal art (80cmx50cm).

Why do I need to turn off my antivirus to use a removal tool, which shouldn't be going anywhere near those files. I can't get rid of the Autodesk Genuine service. Trying to uninstall it through control panel just doesn't work.

    Christmas Advert Alert!

I have found that the longer you're on Facebook, the slower it gets.  Not sure if they do that on purpose, but I doubt it.  I think it just loads too much stuff in memory and it starts to bog down.

Tough crap. I guess she should allow everyone to get their own mail. When she doesn't it becomes her job to do it regaardless of the time of day.

The issue might be afraid someone might steal another's mail?

    That was my thought.

I found that out with my Mum's last tablet. That's why I made sure that she used a browser on a new one.

Fb is a pain in the... But it's worse than ever now.

I've just done a threat scan with Malwarebytes, it's taken over 2h and 30mins (it use to be completed in 1h 10mins).

It may be a coincidence, but something has been "off" with the laptop, ever since that last BSOD: CRITICAL PROCESS DIED a few weeks ago. I've also been having (dis)connecting issues with the USB ports, too. Except all of the drivers are up-to-date... I just don't get it... :/

Facebook is nice and annoying at the same time!  Is great but frustrating simultaneously!

Me neither, I didn't fall asleep until around 5:30 AM... maybe it's the upcoming full moon?... Ever since I bit that wolf, full moons make me edgy.

    Misty Update...

I checked to see if Mistara had replied to the PM and was curious about when she visited... being too lazy to go a few pages back to see when others had checked, I clicked on her username on her 3D printer thread, and apparently it say September 18...

So hopefully she either checked the forums or bought something at the store... that or the Russian Feline Mafia cats have highjacked her computer and are using it buy NFTs of bulldogs in overpriced sweat jackets... Either way, I hope she is doing well.

What did you end up getting?

That Mini PC Intel I5 82xxU with UHD Iris 655 that I was talking about earlier.  The CPU has 4 cores and 8 hyperthreads.  The mini PC also comes with 8 GB of memory that is expandable to 32 GB.  It will be interesting to see how hot the computer runs when I render a scene using 3D delight.  Now I just need to buy a 2.5 inch hard drive before I install the Daz runtime files because the SSD drive has 250 GB of space.

    edited - forgot something.

Decent little machine, with some growth potential.  Assuming the RAM is DDR4, then the 8GB is probably in just one stick (I don't think anybody markets 4GB DDR4 RAM sticks).  So, the first easy improvement is adding another RAM stick to take advantage of DDR4's dual channel feature to nearly double your RAM access bandwidth.yes  You can be conservative and only buy another 8GB stick for a total of 16GB which is very reasonable for a graphics machine but if it were me, I'd spring for a 16GB stick giving a total of 24GB, then in the future get another 16GB stick to replace the original 8GB stick and max out your system RAM to 32GB by only shelving one stick of RAM in the process.  (Of course you could accomplish the same thing by just buying a 32GB 2-stick kit.frown)

Caveat:  Best luck is to get identical RAM manufacturer type, speed and model as you already have unless it's cheap junk.  It's sometimes possible, but not advised to mix different speeds and clock latencies. I don't skimp on RAM, it's cheap enough to get reliable brands like Corsair.indecision  And of course, if your CPU is capable of using higher RAM speeds, and your motherboard is capable of supporting higher RAM speeds, then it's worth considering if you want to push it to the faster speeds by buying RAM capable of something higher than the default stock speed of 2133 (or 2400) by enabling the motherboard's XMP feature to select a faster speed that your DDR4 RAM sticks can handle.  As for a "reasonable" speed, 3200MHz with a clock latency (CL) of 16 is about the best bang for the buck.  It all depends on how much you want to pimp out your system.smiley

As for the graphics capability of the CPU, I did a quick Google and found this comparison between the UHD Iris 665 CPU based graphics versus the separate Intel GT-1030 graphics card.  https://www.notebookcheck.net/Iris-Plus-Graphics-655-vs-GeForce-GT-1030-Desktop-vs-Iris-Plus-Graphics-650_8828_7996_7655.247598.0.html ; (1st two columns)

Yeah, I know, it's not a super card and is next to useless for IRay work, but it does appear to be more capable for 3Delight work than the CPU based graphics.  The GT-1030 is currently available and "relatively" cheap at about $100.  Advantages of the GT-1030 include 2GB of on-board DDR5 VRAM instead of having to share with your system memory, Another advantage of the GT-1030, especially on small motherboards with limited number of card slots, is that you can get a model of the GT-1030 that is only one slot thick.yes

Was rendering an animation and came back to find that after a little over an hour, some of the frames weren't matching up with what I was seeing in the viewport.  I was confused for a moment until I realized that I neglected to change the output framerate from 30fps to the 24pfs that the Project Settings' frame rate was.  Woops.

Cleared all cookies - Still no improvement. Now I've got to sign into everything, again.

Oh! This is driving me bonkers! I can hardly scroll through FB, and I've got messages to reply to... Yet, I've got no problems typing or scrolling on any other site.

I wonder if formatting the HDD, and starting from scratch would solve any problems. Then again, I could do that, and still be in the same predicament afterwards.

Argh! It's no wonder that I'm grinding my teeth. Computers, family, the thought of trying to get madam in her carrier, and going to the vets tomorrow, having to re-do morphs, contacting people... I'm feeling overloaded just thinking about it.

Plus, who wears an item of clothing ten times, and then throws it out?! I've been wearing my t-shirt for (over) three years (in between washes, of course).

Spent a few hours painting a texture for the other tyrannosaurus model,  putting a little more work into it than with the others with additional layers and trying out other brushes and whatnot. Finally being able to use the full version of 3DCoat which allows for unlimited layers instead of Amateur's seven layer limit probably had something to do with that cheeky

I just checked IRS2GO app.  I think this means I'm getting money soon?  Maybe 4 months or so late?  Wonder if I'll be getting more than what I'm expecting?

I'm sick of Vets. Why is it, the ones that we see all look as if they've just left Nursery school. Plus, it's never the same vet as you saw last time.

The last vet said that our cat couldn't have continual anti-emetic injections. But the vet that we saw today, said that she could.

So we have a shortage of Co2, yet the world is heating up due to Co2... :/

    Oop, here comes the tiredness.

No meat on the shelves in two weeks time. Everyday something else happens. It's so soul destroying. I can't see a way out of this.

I ordered a pillow.  I had second thoughts and canceled the order. Now I got an email saying the order got shipped?  I attached a screenshot showing it got canceled and a marked up screenshot of it being shipped.  I'm so confused.
