My dad's kidneys failed within the last 6 months, so he's in a long term care unit at a nursing home getting dialysis 5 days a week and is 70 yrs old

Sorry to hear that... that's really rough... my father-in-law had to go for dialysis for a while before he passed away... it wasn't too often that he went, but I used to feel bad for him... I get kidney stones, so every time I hear about anyone who has kidney issues, I can relate... I know it's not the same, but when you have a really bad stone it screws up your blood chemistry and it's a pretty terrible feeling in addition to the pain...

I wish your dad strength and comfort during his dialysis.

    Good luck.

I want to take a nap, but it is after 2 pm.  Probably too late in day for a nap.

A cat once told me "it's never too late to nap"... then again, he was a cat and a very lazy one at that... so take that advice with a grain of salt.

I wonder why it's a "grain of salt"... was high sodium a big problem when that saying was created?... Back then people snacked on tubs of lard for crying out loud... you wouldn't think they'd be concerned about salt.

btw - I like the skins you're making, but haven't bought that critter yet.

I want to put a card in the mail but there is still mail in the mailbox.  I wish I could request for the mail to be gotten.  I know it is so no one steals the mail, but I think that is the reason.  I'm just frustrated with this rule.

I'm sick of Vets. Why is it, the ones that we see all look as if they've just left Nursery school. Plus, it's never the same vet as you saw last time.

The last vet said that our cat couldn't have continual anti-emetic injections. But the vet that we saw today, said that she could.

So we have a shortage of Co2, yet the world is heating up due to Co2... :/

    Oop, here comes the tiredness.

No meat on the shelves in two weeks time. Everyday something else happens. It's so soul destroying. I can't see a way out of this.

No meats? go with beans they are good protien dried or canned.

Sounds like you need a couple of deep breaths, some calming music ,and a chance to get your self together ....... virtual hugs to you .

    Thank you ^^

If anything goes wrong with the meat supply, beans will definitely factor into my diet (I'm not sold on plant-based food yet).

I know what you mean. Although most meats seem to kick off my Gastritis these days... I miss bacon :(

From what I saw on Monday, I wouldn't have let that vet loose on a human baby, let alone a calf (heck, it was a mistake to let him near our cat).

well, with a cow, one will probably hear a lot more mooing than with a pregnant human woman.  Some women might use more colorful language than "Moo!"

I'm sure with the right drugs, a woman in labour could "Moo". I probably would.

Yeah but N R Arts says "no meat on the shelves for 2 weeks " and depending on where they are at and when they are shopping it might not be readily available so beans are a good replacement protein source and they are usually cheaper then meat .Umm is there really any protein available in meat and no where else? cause I love my meat but I know other things can be used instead ,when the budget doesn't allow the luxury of meat ......in fact I remember chasing down a couple of chickens to make a  big pot of chicken and rice , but we don't always have space for chickens to run around in our yards to just catch for the pot ......

Sorry. I meant that meat supplies would run out in two weeks. Then there would be the alcohol and fizzy drinks shortage on top of that, too.

But apparently it's going to be okay, now. Our brilliant leader has paid someone (or a company) off, in order to get more Carbon Dioxide. So there isn't going to be a meat, fizzy drinks, or alcohol shortage in the near future ^^

    I get that.

It's been a tough few days. You'll have seen that our cat went to the vets on Monday. Tuesday morning, she was yowling her little head off in pain (that totally broke me), and was "number 2-ing" anywhere that she could. Another (more competent vet), diagnosed her with Colitis. Except when she starts yowling now, I get the sweats. They gave us a probiotic for her. Vets don't seem to understand that when a cat is at home, when they get scared, they have places to hide. When they're at the vets, they're practically paralyzed with fear. This (unintentionally) allows vets to give them injections, or stick a thermometer "somewhere", give them probiotics, etc... I put some of that probiotic on my finger to she if she'd lick it off (yeah, right!). She looked at me, then moved further into her hiding space, so I couldn't reach her.

I think she's had colitis before. If she has, this is the worst bout that she's ever had. I think she'll probably have it for the rest of her life now.

I got called to my Doctor's Surgery. I'm getting a new Asthma inhaler. I've had it before, but it upset my system. I'm not looking forward to trying it again.

    I've got my 2nd Covid jab/vaccination/stabbings tomorrow.

Why does Google Analytics need to know what I send from my computer, to my wireless printer...?

For crying out loud! How many updates does that printer need?!

    *Sighs* I want my bed...

The scary part is they took the kidneys right at the Apple store... that's what the little red coolers are for at the back of the Apple stores... also why they have those long tables closer to the back... in case you didn't take whatever organs out beforehand.

On the flip side the organs don't have to be your own, just human or larger primate.

Last I checked the current exchange rate for a new 512 GB iPad Pro is 3 kidneys, 1/3 of a liver and two toes... but sometimes they have a sale on Black Friday at Target... But I'm not sure though what Target's organ exchange policy is.

Thanks!  Oooh macaw,  I had a macaw once but we had to give her to a bird sanctuary when my mom got cancer :(
She couldn't care for the bird, and we couldn't take her with us to the other house I was living at at the time,  so bird had to leave ;v;  We named her 'Cabo',  and she loved my mom.  I was like the #2,  whenever mom wasn't available the bird was okay with me being around.  Cabo didn't like my brother though, she'd chase him sometimes xD

I have some more ideas for paints to do and then I'll prob shares them.  I kinda like the neat texture breaking up the original T-Rex 3 skin has which I'm not really doing with mine much, though I'm trying ;A;  When I learn more about how all this works maybe I'll return to these and see if I can't 'update' them!

I remember a long time back some folks here on the DAZ Forums were running a little 'challenge' where you randomly selected three(?) items from your runtime and had to use them together in a scene. I did a render or two myself I think.  Not sure how or when I remembered that, but been thinking about giving it a go again.  Compiling a list right now then will feed that into Random.org to get my picks.  Should be interesting, and nowadays there's a big gap between the oldies (Anyone remember like the Tawhak? :D ) but trying to make things work together despite a disparity between quality or themes - or even both - is half of the fun.

Remembering which prop products go to which character could be tricky though, particularly for content that's no longer on the store but doesn't say who it was made for (Michael, David, which generation of said character, etc)  but I'm sure I can make it work :D
