Will be starting off the new year by taking...  ...The Night Train to Dallas!

The only southbound service comes through my town at about 3:30 in the morning. Temporary discounts have made it cheaper than driving.  Not usually the case.

    safe travels

your adventures always get me listening to Simon & Garfunkel surprise ,

Good news?  I have my old laptop to spend some time with Carrara.

Great to see th 3D prints, Andrew.  Look great.

thanks Ted, :) I am still using Carrara, just not for renders at the mo

    Good luck with laptop !

youtube hasn't shown me any ads on my smart tv for over an hour

this is a huge anomaly as they are normally quite prolific

not complaining but something must be wrong

I wish. I get 58sec -1min commercials if the video is longer than 15 min on my Fire TV and then every 10-15 min past that time. Thankfully, I only get them at the beginning and end of a video on my computer.

our adds are smart ads, we turn off the sound but then they have started putting on written commentary - so we shut our eyes - that will teach tyhem :)

    Hey @Diomede

here's one from ai , the others were worserer

    Night Train to Adventure

For Dallas, where dreams come alive,

Ted boarded the train, feeling the vibe.

    Under stars shining bright,

His laptop sought thrills of the night,

On adventures, where Carrara spirits once thrived.

    or totally unrelated

I once knewed a man from Dallas

His aunt's middle name was spelt: Alice

But she was really a bloke

And smelt like a goat ...

And ate grass at Buckingham Palace.

no offence meant to anyone from or knamed or knewed anyone from Dallas

my Win7 working again but only 8 GB RAM as one of my sticks was the issue

is not enough for many VWD sims, it works but only on very low poly cloths

better than not at all though

I have 4 slots so if I could get 4 DDR3L sticks I would have 32GB but not easy to find

It just sits in the cupboard doing nothing.

I just hate to see it on the shelf collecting dust.  I built it in '05 and it's been an awesome machine.  The RAM sits on aa Asus P9X79Deluxe MoBo, with and i7 3820(?) cpu.  One of the first boards that featured SSD Caching and it hummed along at a respectable 4Ghz without over-clocking.  Replace it with a 9th generation i7 cpu, also on an Asus board,  then to find out that my problem was the Power supply.  Live and Learn.

very kind but honestly not going to be worth posting to Australia

I will buy from the site Bunyip suggested eventually once my month is up and DAZ stops tempting me (it's far better than I have seen online)

with 4 slots I want the 4x8GB anyway but thanks so much for the offer heart

I wish South Australia got some of the rain the East coast gets in excesss, would be nice if it poured it down evenly as it crissed the continent instead of a deluge at the end
