Is there a no scar option? The scar is great if it's optional, but if it's the only option then it's really limitting.
11 items in total across 2 bundles. Putting a clothing set in one bundle and the texture add-on in the other bundle just seems a bit dodgy to me. If you only want the second bundle you're stuck with a useless texture pack.
The scar looks pretty bad in most of the promos, and if that head stubble is part of the textures, he's a very hard pass for me.
... Well, the page itself is an interesting mess.
The stool pigeon bundle shows the HD addon twice, and the Bootstrapper textures as well, but it's highly unlikely that the textures for one bundle would be in the other -- additionally, the Stool Pigeon bundle has nine items, and the goon bundle has seven, which also seems unlikely.
The add-ons ... hoo boy. All but the Bootstrapper textures and the Alex Capital HD addon are previously released items, and the "It's A Crime" item is so old that it doesn't have Iray textures, and I suspect it doesn't have DUFs -- it might have DSA files. (It's also so old that its readme is a ZZ file that hasn't been updated, and it's original compatibility was for Studio 2.3, for heaven's sake!)
Another detective office, just a week or so after the last one. OK, then.
And the product page for Alex Capital is unusually ... terse. For example, it's entirely unclear if he has an unscarred version. The Daz-O bundle guys usually do -- for example, Vladimir has both -- but all of the promos show the scarred version. (The HD addon has a promo that shows both scarred and unscarred, but the unscarred is so undefined that I'm not actually sure it's Alex Capital at all.)
All that said ... I think I like Alex himself, and I like the top half of the Bootstrapper outfit. Pants need seams and details, though.
EDIT: I'm suspecting his package and materials are kind of ... badly put together. I took a look at his file list, and he shows Face1 and Face2 textures -- possibly scarred and unscarred. However, it doesn't look like there's any way to apply one of the sets of materials; he only seems to show one preset for all of his materials.
I see six items in both bundles, two of which appear in both.
I'm still seeing different numbers of items in each bundle. Probably the Cloudflare cache acting up again, since we're not in the same area.
Well it fits the topic that the whole promotion is kind of a crime.
Does look interesting on first sight but...
- Both Alex bundles do have little items for hefty base prices.
- Both Alex bundles have base figure and HD in common so should be way more discounted if purchased together.
- One needs 3 addon's for an extra discount which is only 10% on the bundles.
- AddOns are mostly old items which one could get usually for an even lower price.
- In my case there is zero variety in the addons as I own most of them already.
- The free DO selections are quite old as well.
Even with the extra 25% for bundle collectors AND the 20% Bonnie coupon I am still having bundles + 3 addons are $54.88 in my cart.
Not interested in that heist.

Easy pass for me. I kind of like the character (although the forearms and hands seem too big compared to the rest), but the items in the bundle and the price... nope.
The character is all right. But alas I'm not on 4.15 or using 8.1. I am more interested in where that fedora he's wearing in this image is from.

Well, this is all you get:
- Hair not removable
- Scar not removable
Hmmm, I can get around the scar by applying another skin; and I have other scars in my runtime if I do want it. Which leaves just the broken nose as unique characteristic (I think...?). Seeing this, I do still like the character, but not enough for a first-day buy... and certainly not buying it and the HD twice in two bundles.

**I think the permanency of the scalp hair shadow bothers me more than the unremovable scar. For a premium 8.1 character this is of poor quality. I do, however, like the base skin (which is why I usually buy base characters), but it isn't usable on other characters without its 'unique' features. **
It's good to have the scar, but it should definitly removable.

To my eye, his skin is not on 8.1 level. It appears, from the promos, to use a cranked-up bump map rather than the 8.1 spec and normal method, and this makes it look flat and Generation 4 in comparison to the best 8.1 (or even 8) skins. That's the same issue I had with Coral. The morph is OK, but I feel they should have spent another whole day refining it. CHWT is right. He's a re-working of Jazz, who was not ready for release either.
The Bootstrappers Outfit solved the wonky collar problem by eliminating it, although it still goes wonky if the neck twists, as the promos clearly show. The edges of the coat and vest look thin and unrealistic. dForce pants look and drape like polyester or silk, but that's an anachronism for a 20's suit, which would've been wool I would guess. And the pants crotch is not modeled realistically, but that's the usual. Not enough modeled folds and creases in the suit to overcome the paper doll look.
ChevyBabe's hair looks good, but I already have several versions of that hairstyle. The vehicles and environments look competently constructed, but they lack either set dressing or realistic detailing. I already own almost all the add-ons, since they're old items.
Daz is phoning it in. They should commission MEC4D to do some Core Figures. On a positive note, I saved money.

More Dick Tracy stuff? Did nothing else happen in the 20's and 30's? It would seem so, at least according to Daz. Then again, I have been saving $$$ lately on not buying stuff.
As a sidenote, his skin looks quite awful. And offering an eyebrow scar without the corresponding eyebrow with missing hair renders the scar kind of pointless unless users are willing to go the extra mile and make edits in post.
I think I'm going to pass. The baked in red line on his spine loooks odd, and I hate the way the expressions tug his lips but are made for someone with a larger mouth so it creates these creases like his lips are misaligned.
He also is seriously lacking in outfits and we get another shaved side hairdo

Thanks Richard. I was just about to post that I encountered none of the doulbing up of items in both bundles issues folks have described.
So I wasn't being blind, the motorcycle really doesn't have a trailing arm. Kids these days, what do they teach them.
Unfortunately, this makes very little difference if you already have all the ancient add-ons they're trying to recycle. Moreover, it really doesn't address the primary complaints that the bundles were already ludicorously overpriced for sets with only six items each even before a full third of the products were duplicated in each and then that there was only one (1!) new add on that's not in the bundles and, of the remainder, four of the ten items were part of the Underbelly promotion with half of those being inside the Underbelly Gangster bundle that's also being recycled while a fifth predates Iray and the sixth was for Genesis 3. I won't even go into how poor and picked over the "get this free with" selection is other than to say DAZ needs to get out there and buy a ton of new DAZ originals if they think of another way to sell, as I came up with bupkis in every category.
