    The same way you added except that you remove and accept and then restart ds.

    With the shoulder bent to show the problem, select the main figure, "Genesis 8 Basic Male" and in "Parameters Tab" select "Currently Used" - This should give a list of just those dials that have non-zero values.

    No, just make sure you know the directories you are removing from the list (don't delete anything on disc) and when doen add them back in and all your installed content will be available. it is possible, and safer, to use a new directory set - give me a few moments to write instructions.

    Once you have done what I asked, bend the arm and screenshot. Hopefully, it no longer does the erroneous bend, and then we can try the problem again.

    1. Open Edit>Preferences
    2. Go to the Content tab
    3. Click Content Directory Manager
    4. In the dialogue that opens, select Current Directories
    5. Click the Copy... button on the left and call it soemthing like main set-up.
    6. This makes a copy of your current settings, for safety
    7. Now click the New... button on the left and give it a name, something like Basic Genesis 8
    8. Click the + next to the new Basic Genesis 8 set
    9. Select Daz Studio Formats
    10. Click Add.. under Directory on the left
    11. Select the folder to which you installed the new Genesis Starter Essentials when Cris asked you to
    12. OK, now you have a very basic clean set
    13. Check the radio button next to the Basic Genesis 8 Basic Genesis 8 set
    14. Click Accept
    15. Your Content Library list should now update to show just the folder with the Genesis 8 Starter Essentials

    Do the test pose and see if the issue has gone

    When you want to go back to your regular content, open Content Directory manager again, click the radio button next to Main set-up and click Accept

    That is not surprising. What we have established is that it is an add on causing this, not a problem with the base. My suspicion is that a character or morph set you recently isntalled, one that makes a big change to the body shape (bulking it up probably) has a JCM that should be on only when the arm is bent and the shape is applied, but instead it lacks the link to the character shape is applying everytime you bend the arm. So, can you recall adding a character (muscular, heavy, or soem kind of big monster) for Genesis 8 Male just before this started?

    This is what we want to see when the arm is bent.

    Do not use the Ctrl button to select any categories on the list, just click on the "Currently Used" in the "Parameters Tab"

    Sorry, as I don't know what you uninstalled and how, can't help you there.

    The only thing that was needed from the start, was the "Currently Used" with the check mark on "Show Hidden Properties", but I wasn't at my computer to take that screenshot before.

    The arm malfunction happens all the time when I apply a Genesis 2 pose to a Genesis 8 character.  You keep your levels of Genesis separate, right?

    hi i still cant fix this problem is there anyway i can take all my items in my library and move them to my desktop and put them back little by little  will that help diagnose the problem

    Did you answer the question about products/characters you had isntalled just before the issue started?
