Really liking the 3DU converter. Yes you can click on several files and click, all done.
One thing about this, you can't select the file location. So I'll move them later.

Easy smeezy with 3DU's converter. I went into the Genesis 3 pose section and created a folder and put G2 on the end, so I would know it was a converted pose set. Then dragged the poses from the Genesis 2 section over and done.

Got Zev0's working- someone suggested doing the entire folder, not one file. I don't think that cured my problem but who knows. I make the file for it to be put in, then I do select the entire folder in Gen 2 poses for conversion, and it's working.

One tip: name the file the exact same thing as your Gen 2 pose file and add G2 so you'll be able to keep track of where it came from and what you've already done.

Example: Aave Nainen in Genesis 2 (Pose section) becomes Aave Nainen G2 in my Genesis 3 Pose section so I know it is a converted G2.

    Pose Converter Genesis 2 Female(s) to Genesis 3 Female(s)

As usual, I'm not hestitant at all to say I'm not "getting it." This is frustrating as usual- no information in the 3DU's ReadMe. I find it pathetic when vendors can't take twenty minutes or less to explain how their product works. (I'm not going to be charitable and sugar coat it.)

A box pops up and asks you to select a duf file.

So I went into Content>People>Gen2F>Poses then 3DUniverse (trying Eclypse poses) and it said one file converted. So next question would be, where did it go? Was I supposed to have the Gen 3 figure selected? (Tried that and it didn't do anything.)

What the heck am I supposed to do? Where's the file? It didn't go under G3 > Poses in Content Library. It didn't give me the option to select a file to put it in. It didn't do anything to the Gen 3 figure in the viewport when I had that selected when the pose was converted. ARRRGGGH.

Please take the time to read the include .pdf. It takes you through using the product step-by-step and answers most of the "issues" you mentioned.

Note that you can select multiple .duf poses and convert them all at once too.

Also, DAZ Studio doesn't automatically refresh the library window, but right-clicking on the library pane and selecting "refresh" will show all the newly converted poses.

Yes, been doing that. Having fun with the converter! Hope it sells well for you. Thanks for making it! We all understand the poses won't be a perfect match, and everyone has been upfront about that with the new figure being somewhat different. It is amazing you got them as close as they are.

3dU- Where is the pdf? In Scripts in Content Library, there is only one image under the product and that's the one we click on to get the popup box to select the files we want to convert. (the converter dse.)

I'll need to confirm where the .pdf is saved to as DAZ make the installers, not the merchants. The .pdf is listed on the product page under the "what's included" section

For those that would like to see the instructions before purchasing, here are the instructions included with the 3DU pose converter:

    ===============================================
Instructions for Using G2F - G3F Pose Convertor
    v1.0

    created by 3D Universe 2015
    ===============================================

This script is designed to automatically convert figure poses saved for Genesis 2 in
.duf format to their Genesis 3 equivalent (also saved as a .duf file).

When run, the script offers a few options.

    1) "Converted Pose Filename" refers to the new file that will be created for each .duf pose
file. By default, the script will add "_G3" to the filename. So for example the following
    pose file:

    Model Pose 01.duf

will be converted and saved as:

    Model Pose 01_G3.duf

in the same folder as the original pose file.

    2) "Copy Pose Thumbnails" specifies wether you'd like the content library thumbnail icon
for the original pose file to be copied to the new converted filename. By default this
option is on and a thumbnail will be created. If turned off, the converted pose file
will have the default "no icon" DAZ image.

    3) "Include Joint Adjustments" offers the feature of matching Genesis 3's default pose to
Genesis 2's default pose. If this option is selected, adjustment values are applied to
the legs and arms to closer match Genesis 2. By default this option is on.

Note: for some poses, this option gives a closer match on Genesis 3 to the original
Genesis 2 pose. However, results may vary.

When the "Browse for .DUF File/s" button is activated, you will be presented with a
multiple file selection window. Holding [shift] while selecting the pose files you wish to
convert will enable you to select multiple pose files at once.

Once the "Open" is button activated, the script will do it's work and give a summary at
    the end of the process.

I picked up the 3DU converter.

Very easy to use. Just followed Novica's tips, and was able to get my gia poses converted. Thanks.

Hi guys. Basically the way ours works is you create and choose the master directory you want all converted Poses to go. EG I called and linked mine to People\Genesis 3\Poses\Converted. Now all poses\sets you convert will maintain the same pose folder structure inside that. So for example if I select "Bluemoon Poses S6" from Genesis 2 that I wish to convert, it will create that same pose directory under the master I made which is People\Genesis 3\Poses\Converted\Bluemoon Poses S6. To get them to view in your content Library simply right click and hit refresh on your content Library tab. It will have Icons and everything. Just click and use. So now all my converted poses are not mixed up with the Genesis2 Pose files because I specified a path under Genesis3\Poses.

That is cool info Zev0.
Hello y'all, I've been a tad buisy of late and am not caught up on this thread yet.

I got fed up with sifting threw multiple pages at the V7 thread for any info on G3F, and started a different one elsewhere, specifically for learning the tips and tricks of using G3F in Daz Studio. I've tried to fill it with everything I could figure out, tho I do not have V7 or anything else for G3F yet. So there are some things I will not be able to figure out till the 3rd.

    G3M G3F, Q and A. V7 welcome as well.

Also, regarding the product Support Icon, all you need to do is go to the last page of the thread and ask your question. Unfortunately we cannot make a link that goes to the last page because the link we associate will be page specific. EG thread is on page 8, link that as last page, thread is now on page 20 a week later, link goes to page 8. There is no need to go through every page of the thread since those are comments and questions from other users.

lol. For some one as new as me, I don't mind skimming threw a Product thread, as quite often a Question I have, may have been answered already. Plus I learn all kinds of other cool stuff about the product in the process.

True, however I felt I needed to respond to this comment "and that “support” thumbnail takes you to a 15 page thread that after going through 6 pages of their OTHER product, I said screw it and quit reading it." So I felt it necessary to explain how it works:)

    Hi Zev0-
Thanks for the response, I'm very impressed also with your converter and it's so neat to be able to do batches. I do like the Gen 3 separated from Gen 2 and the ability to designate where the files are going to go. With a lot of poses from Gen 2, I need each one to be easily recognizable in it's own folder.

Also, I did see in that thread all the neat things you were doing with the pose builder- particularly about the arms. If you're still reading this thread and are so inclined, feel free to tell folks the nice changes you're making/made. It makes the pose builder even more powerful. :)

Cool. Sorry things weren't made clear in the beginning. It is why we have the product support thread for those who have any questions so we can specifically address individual issues or questions regarding products. This way we or fellow customers can assist people quicker giving them direct support without having them waiting for solutions to their problem. :)

    Suggestion though?
Separate out the pose builder from the pose converter. Some folks might not buy the bundle, but even if they do, when they need technical help it would be nice if it were narrowed down so each product had it's own thread. Like the GenX thread (lol, well, bad example, that's a monster thread...)

Regardless, thank you for being on the forums and always available to help.

Heads up- Slosh's sailor outfit is no longer new (nor the battered textures) so for you tier shoppers, you get a higher discount (on the "old" rather than "new.") Slosh is in one of the featured stores- when you buy 2 new you get 50% off those stores plus your Summer Savings tier.

:-) Most of us have it by now I think. I haven't featured it here yet but there's too many products, too little time. It's a fun outfit and I love the texture set. (Have that too.) Don't fret too much, I don't think a ton of people have 25 punches. (Well, maybe shop-a-holics.)

Hi, I'm back home now, but it looks like you already got the Zev0 pose converter figured out. So, I won't bother to post about how I used it. Happy converting!

I've had some problems with the converted the FeralFey Concert Crowd Poses. When the converted expressions are applied to G3, they don't look anything like the originals. In some of the body poses, The arms and hands seem offset to the side. I'll post in the support thread and see what they say.

I think I read in the thread that expressions don't convert, or don't keep the original. They'll clear that up for you. Glad you got back home safely :)

I'll second that barbult, glad you had a safe travel.

Slight technical Q regarding Face expression dials (some call them 'Morphs'). Do they just use the face bones to do there magic, or do some also us as implied by the other name for them, Morphs (like D-forms) as well?

If they also involve custom mesh-morphs, it may require more then just bone-mapping, possibly??? This realy is on the edge of what I understand, tho it's a thought.
